Chaplain!

576 A Useless Pawn

The difficulty between the two were worlds apart.

 "Me?"

Oliver Walker smiled calmly. "Four years ago, I became a god in the battle of Indiana. I even slaughtered 100,000 elites of the enemy! While I was injured, I taught five War Gods, eight God of Wealth, and five Chinese medical experts. They called me the Chaplain but then four years later, I received a letter from my daughter and returned from the front line."

 He wasn't showing off!

It was because he knew that good people like Mike were rare.

Oliver Walker didn't want him to do anything rash!

Just a simple introduction of the past caused a storm to set off in Mike's heart. How terrifying was a person who could become the teacher of a country?

Although he spoke lightly, he was also someone who had experienced bloodshed. He naturally knew how dangerous the process was.

Suspicion? Was there a need for him to suspect Oliver Walker?

Just Oliver Walker sitting next to him without moving made him feel immense pressure.

There was no need to think too much. As long as he made a move, he would definitely be the one to die!

"Just give up! I can give you a chance to atone for your crimes and not hold you accountable," Oliver Walker said.

"I can promise you a calm and peaceful life. Even when your enemies come knocking on your door, I'll help you hunt them down! But, you would have to live a honest life as well."

Mike's eyes flashed with a hint of hesitation. Then, he clenched his fists. He was clearly making a difficult decision.

He knew that he was no match for the person beside him.

Once they started fighting, the outcome was predictable!

"Alright!" He lowered his head and said. "I owe you a life. You can take it whenever you want! Farewell!"

After saying that, Mike's figure disappeared into the vast night.

He didn't know how to explain this to Emma Adams, but giving up was his only choice.

After resolving the matter without bloodshed, Oliver Walker quickly returned home.

It was already midnight, but the bedroom light was still on for him. This was life, there was always someone waiting for you without regrets.

When he entered the room, his wife was lying on the bed with a book titled 'How to Get Out of the Aftermath of War' in her hand. However, the fatigue of the past few days had made her fall asleep.

 "How silly!"

Oliver Walker felt a surge of warmth in his heart. He wished he could tell his wife that he really did not have any aftereffects of the war.

However, there were some things that he had to do.

 The next morning…

Adams Group issued an apology statement, which was to the effect that there was an accident at the press conference and they were willing to atone for it. They would also sell all products on the market at a 40% discount for half a month.

Lowering the price was Emma Adams's only chance of survival.

She also knew that the Adams Group could no longer compete with the rise of Heavenly Sect Pharmaceuticals!

 "Is he dead?"

Then, he looked at Mike, who had just entered, with anger in his eyes.

"I need to tell you something. Stop targeting Emilia . She's not someone you and I can offend!"

Mike's words were somewhat sincere, but he did not mention anything about Oliver Walker.

This was because the strong had their own principles!

He was also grateful to Oliver Walker for giving him a way out.

Otherwise, he would have to pay for yesterday's impulsiveness. If he succeeded, this country would never let him go.

 "Trash!"

Emma Adams slammed the table angrily and stood up. "You're still bragging to me. What kind of mercenary king is this?"

"I see that you are also a silver-colored spearhead, a good-looking but useless fellow! Get lost! Get lost, get as far away as you can!"

In her eyes, there was only profit. From the first time she sold her body in exchange for resources, to the time her ex-husband left with her child, she was destined not to fall in love with anyone else.

 Mike?

He was just a target for her to use!
