A New Year’s letter to book friends

The new year has arrived, happy new year everyone!

Then take the opportunity to give this book a summary of last year and an outlook for the future.

This book is really a super bad year in 2022.

I didn't notice it at first, I just felt that I wrote too little, but I recently checked the data for 2022.

Throughout 2022, only 116 words were written in this book, an average of 9.6 words per month, and an average of 3170 words per day.

Throughout 2022, this book did not win the perfect attendance award for several months, and even only wrote 60,000 words in two months.

To tell a true joke, in 2022, I recommended it for four consecutive months, but I stopped updating it on the day of recommendation.

Moreover, I didn’t even update a big recommendation like Best Sellers for three days in a row, and wrote 2,000 words in five days.

To be honest, I feel that the editor didn’t stab me with a knife, which is considered to be a bodhisattva’s heart. (Thank you for not killing me. QAQ)

I am ashamed of myself, this book, my editor, and even more so my readers.

What shocked me was that under this circumstance, I found that the number of follow-up subscriptions within 24 hours after each chapter was updated was almost never less than 2,000, and was even as high as 3,700 at one time.

In other words, even with such a botched update, there are at least two to three thousand people waiting for the latest chapter every day.

(As an aside, my old editor is chasing my book every day, and even often asks me to urge updates. It seems that this book is still well written, hahaha!)

To be honest, even if readers leave me because of such a botched update, I think they deserve it. I really don’t blame the readers, but I blame myself.

Everyone's support and love for this book really shocked me and made me feel extremely guilty.

The moment I saw this data, I decided that I would change my ways in 2023 and go all out to write this book to repay the love of every reader and every parent.

Because you are my food, clothing, and parents. Without you, I would not be able to write the story with peace of mind until now.

In 2022, I can successfully write the Human World chapter without any unfinished work, and with all the foreshadowing and characters dealt with clearly, all thanks to everyone's support.

Although during this process, many readers were scolding me for botched updates, and many readers even abandoned the book at one point, I know that you really love this book.

I have nothing to repay for such great love, I can only bow to you all here.

An outlook for 2023.

2022 has passed, whether it is good or bad, it has passed after all.

We can't change anything, I can only tell you what I want to do in the next 2023.

In the first half of the month of 2023, I have used actions to prove that I have cheered up and am really going all out to change myself.

There have been 21 days in this month. Except for the two days at the beginning of the month, which each have 8,000 words, I have maintained an update of 10,000 words per day for the rest of the time. So far, I have written 210,000 words.

At the end of the next month, I will go all out to update, with the goal of updating 300,000 words.

Even throughout 2023, until this book is completed, I will go all out to update it.

I won’t promise to update 10,000 words a day, but I will show it with actions.

Today's things are done today, and there will be no tomorrow again. Tiredness will not be an excuse for me to be lazy. As long as I am not seriously ill and cannot get out of bed, I will complete today's task no matter how late it is.

Because of you readers, your support gives me all the strength.

A new year, a new beginning, will also be a successful year.

In this new year, I will be a constant and stable updater, finish this book as soon as possible, and give this book a happy ending.

Here, I wish you all a Happy New Year again and wish every reader and friend all the best.

I also hope that every lovely reader will be able to achieve all their wishes in the next year without leaving any regrets.

I love you, I am your fifth-shift beast.
