I Have Seven Dragon Souls In a cultivation world

202 Chapter 202: Phantom Assassin

without turning back to look at Lord Vale, the others quickly left as well.

in the end, all that was left was the short sweating figure of lord Vale.

at this moment, his mind was in a wreck.

he was experiencing a multitude of emotions

fear,relief but most importantly, rage!

with just a mere look, a mere boy half his age had sent into disarray.

And this wasn't the first time those arrogant brats from the capital had stepped on his head. This sort of thing had gone n long before he met Dante. Arrogant Clansmen and officials had stepped on his head for far too long.

He had had enough!

After today, things would change.

After today he won't suffer such a humiliation ever again!

....

Much later into the night, after everyone had left, Lord Vale was sitting in the hall next to a shadowy figure

The figure had an extremely leisurely aura around him.

"It's nice to see you again, Mr Vale." as the shadowy figure spoke, a slight chuckle could be heard in its voice

"Cut all the chit chat" said Lord Vale in annoyance

"You know why you've been called today"

"Hehehe! Of course I know." responded the shadow

"The boss had told me everything. In fact, if you took any longer to contact me I would have thought you turned traitor!"

Hearing this, Lord Vale only sneered. Not bothering to even address such ridiculous statement lord Vale simply continued speaking

"Well, since you know your job, I won't waste my breath and go into too much detail, there are just some things i need you too do . You need to avoid that Dragon Son. In addition, I need yo too-"

But Before Lord Vale could continue giving his briefing, a silvery light flashed and before he knew it, a cold metal sensation could be felt pressing against his neck.

"Now look here." Said the shadow in a chilling tone. The previous leisurely aura now completely gone,

"Just because the boss said I should help you out doesn't mean you've now been given the privilege of ordering me around. "Don't tell me how to do my job and stay in your lane." as the cold voice sounded out the shadows slowly faded from the room.

As the shadows left, Lord Vale rubbed his sore neck as his eyes quickly flashed with rage.

It took him a few deep breaths before he could calm himself from acting in retaliation.

'What a fool!' Thought Lord Vale in disdain

'If this is the best that they can produce, then I doubt that things would go smoothly. I should prepare just in case that idiots fails.'

With these thoughts Lord vale wasted no more time a headed out to start his own preparations.

....

a few minutes after the previous interaction with Lord Vale

A dark phantom could be seen flowing freely through streets, at the heart of Vainwacth City

The phantom lightly flickered before easily entering into one of many the nearby compounds.

nearby, a set of guards could be seen guarding a passageway, but the phantom didn't even slow down and walked towards them as if he didn't see them.

surprisingly, the shadowy phantom wasn't stopped. In fact, the guards simply continued to stare forward as if they had not spotted anything in the first place!

Seeing how easily he walked past the guards, the shadowy figure was still amazed.

Although with his skills he could still easily get past guards of that level, it still didn't mean he couldn't appreciate the treasure!

'I still amazed that the boss could get that dirty necrophile to cough up such an amazing treasure.'

As the shadowy figure thought this, he couldn't help but admire his cloak even more

'A treasure that can completely conceal someone's presence. It is so strong that Even Martial Adepts won't be able to detect you.'

The figure could still remember the words of his boss as he gave him the treasured cloak.

With this treasure, he had complete faith in his ability to complete the job.

From his information, the only real threat to both him and his mission was the boy known as the Dragon son.

If it wasn't for him, then he even believed he could take on everyone here by himself.

But even with his belief, the shadow was never one to play risky games.

He had been given the task of assassinating the girl, and he would do his job, then leave.

He was an experienced assassin.

He knew that in his profession, only those that did their job that lived long and happy lives.

all his other counterparts that tried to add little flair to their mission or tried to over-achieve were all dead men now.

With an increased caution, the Assassin Followed the information handed to him by Lord Vale, the assassin gradually approached Rebecca's courtyard.

He took a deep breath and started controlling his breathing causing his already faint presence to disappear completely!

This ghost of a person peered at Rebecca's window before deftly approaching it.

As the assassin approached, he managed to look through the window and was instantly stunned.

Beautiful!

That was the only word left in his mind.

As he approached he was greeted with the sight of the beautiful Rebecca sleeping peacefully on her bed.

Her bright red hair lay sprawled on the bed and when combined with her angelic appearance and flawless skin, her peaceful sleeping position looked all the more enticing.

Looking at this sight, the Assassin felt his breathing quicken.

The Assassin just couldn't help it!

As one of the best assassins and part of the Largest bandit camp, he had had his fair share of women, but none could compare to the woman in front of him!

She was so beautiful that the assassin had to check whether or not he was dreaming!

Fortunately for him, this was not a dream. The beauty in front of him was, in fact, still very real!
