'Just because I can't cure her condition doesn't mean I can't stall it!'

The death energy inside of her couldn't be removed for now, but with Dante's Dracolich's control over the death element, he didn't believe that he wouldn't be able to at least restrain and suppress it.

It was only a hypothetical guess, but a guess was better than staying and doing nothing.

Slowly a dark smoke started leaking from Dante as the giant figure of Dracolich wrapped in green flames, appeared behind him.

An Elder Dracolich! A being that was practically death itself. Its mastery of death was something even the gods would have to admit to and now this being and all its abilities were under Dante's full control!

Without hesitation, Dante placed his hand on Rebecca's chest.

In an instant, Dante could feel the death elements inside of Rebbeca.

Small, cold, dark particles that were quietly whispering in his ear.

With the connection confirmed, Dante went into action.

With a swift instruction, the Death particles in Rebecca's body began to stir, causing a twisted expression of pain to appear on her face as she wailed in pain.

But Dante completely ignored the wails of the poor girl as he quickly drew the death elements of Rebecca's body and confided it into a place with the highest concentration.

Her bones.

If one could look inside Rebecca's body they would see that the bones used in her were darkened at a rapid rate until the colour they had was not too different from the bones of the Dracolich itself.

The process continued on for another ten minutes with Rebbeca wailing for the entire duration, but Dante just firmly held her in place as he carried out the procedure.

After several more minutes, Dante removed his hand from Rebecca's chest

'Done.' Thought Dante

Slowly rising back to his feet, Dante took another look at Rebecca.

The black Cain's that covered her body had receded and the few veins he could see had now returned to the normal blue colour. The grey skin had basically disappeared, allowing Rebecca to appear somewhat normal.

But even with all these changes, it didn't mean that Rebecca was completely fine.

Although her skin was no longer grey, it was instead a deathly pale white!

If one didn't see the slight raising of her chest from time to time, one would not think this was the skin of a living person but instead that of someone who's been dead for months!

'It seems like she still needs to recuperate,' thought Dante after looking at Rebecca.

But even with these thoughts, the smile could not be hidden from his face.

He had done it!

he had successfully staved off the destructive death energy and saved Rebecca for the foreseeable future.

So whilst this wasn't a complete and full cure, it was enough for Dante to relax for the time being

After curing Rebecca of her disease, Dante stood up with Rebecca in his arms and looked around.

Everywhere he looked, he could see the slaves looking at him with eyes filled with both horror and amazement

But one still stood nearby as his cold eyes vividly took in the mana death. In fact, there even appeared to be a slight smile on his face as he watched.

Dante also noticed this strange child, and a smile appeared on his face.

'A talent.' Thought Dante.

Whilst others seemed scared, this boy was seemingly unfazed and from the words of the now dead executioner, Dante could also infer that this young boy had actually tried to save him.

From what Dante had seen, the boy definitely had some talent that was worth taking note of.

Seeing this, Dante's senses began to tingle.

It was the same tingle he felt once he saw Clay.

A talent.

With a twisted smile on his face, Dante entered his full Draconic form, causing monstrous scales to appear all over his skin whilst four silver and red flaming wings exploded from his back. When it was compiled with the four horns on his head, Dante looked like a demon king that had just crawled from the pits of hell!

His hulking figure slowly approached the frail boy who had just managed to recover from the impact.

"I heard you tried to save me. Why?"

The boy shakily stood to his feet as he answered

"It's obvious, you were the one that saved us. I'd rather die than let my saviour be killed by those dammed executioners."

Even as Hans spoke, a murderous aura drenched the boy.

Seeing this, Dante smiled.

"It seems like you want to take revenge, but do you have the power to?"

As soon as Hand heard Dante's question, his fist just clenched as he stared at the ground.

This was because he already knew the answer to Dante's question.

His strength was woefully low. If it weren't for this man in front of him, forget about revenge, Hans wouldn't even be alive to see the next day! So all Hans talk about protecting and even getting revenge didn't seem just impossible, It even seemed comical!

Right as these depressing thoughts seemed to overwhelm him, Hans heard a strange voice.

"So what if I told you that you can still gain the strength you desire?"

As soon as Hans heard this, he looked up as his red eyes stared intently at the Origin of the voice.

But just as Hans was about to open his mouth, a cold voice sounded out again.

"But before you speak, you should know that in this world nothing comes free and my words are no different."

The instant Hans heard Dante's words, it was almost as if a cold bucket of water had been poured over him. His eager desire was quickly doused and for the first time, he truly looked at and took in the monstrous form of the being in front of him.

With Man's horrific appearance and the strange smile on the man's face, Hans started feeling less and less  like he was dealing with another man and more like he was dealing with the devil!
