Outside the private room, Sun Wushe heads to the reception staff at the entrance, “hello. Can I have the physical copy of the movie ticket that xiongzhu and I had?”

“For commemoration?” The staff seems used to these kinds of requests, “sure, this way.”

Meanwhile, in the room, Cheng Zhaoci decides to type out his earlier exchange with Sun Wushe in full and send it to Wei Zhuo… Just in case it’s found out and misunderstood later.

Then, Cheng Zhaoci pushes Xiao Ji awake from his deep sleep.

“Huh?! What’s wrong?! What’s going on? Did the shemale die? Is it another tragic development? What’s happening?” Xiao Ji sits up, rubbing his eyes, “or the male is gone?”

“Sun Wushe is gone!” Cheng Zhaoci really has no words for his dumb and insensitive childhood friend, “were you seriously asleep ten minutes into the movie?”

Xiao Ji looks at where Sun Wushe was sitting to see he’s really nowhere to be found, and mumbles, “you can’t blame me. The shemale was just fighting the whole time, and the fight scenes were boring,” Xiao Ji says, yawning, “so where’s him? Toilet?”

“Left! Left somewhere!” Cheng Zhaoci says, “I feel like he’s acting weird.”

“Like he likes you?” Xiao Ji sighs, looking at Cheng Zhaoci, “you’re a male, a handsome male. I’ve always said you should be carefully dressed and not give insectoids ideas outside.”

“That’s not it!” Cheng Zhaoci puts his hands on both sides of Xiao Ji’s head and gives it a good hard shaking, making Xiao Ji completely awake, “I’m suspecting he plans to join Jin Yue! What should we do?” Sun Wushe’s confession was unmistakably strange. Why would a shemale soldier ever compare themselves with Jin Yue that way?

And the fact he seems to be ready to leave the Capital planet for good, is tingling Cheng Zhaoci’s senses.

“What the fuck?! Did you report him yet?” Xiao Ji immediately shoots up, “call the Squadron Leader! See if it connects. If it doesn’t, we go find the Grand Marshal immediately.”

When on their mission, shemale soldiers might be ordered to keep their holodecks away, so if Wei Zhuo is unavailable, Cheng Zhaoci wouldn’t be able to get through.

Fortunately, Wei Zhuo seems to be free right now. The call goes through without a hitch.

Cheng Zhaoci repeats the conversation he typed and his suspicions. Wei Zhuo listens intently, and by the time it’s finished, his brows are in full lock, “alright. I get it. I’ll call his superiors right now,” then he cuts the call short.

Cheng Zhaoci then immediately returns home with Xiao Ji to retrieve his tablet. When they’re almost back at the Grand Marshal’s mansion, Wei Zhuo is calling again, with a serious tone, “Mr Cheng Zhaoci, did Sun Wushe do anything to you when you were together?”

“No. We didn’t even touch,” Cheng Zhaoci suspected Sun Wushe had a thing for him, and dragged Xiao Ji along. They didn’t have physical contact at all, “what’s wrong? Did he really decide to follow Jin Yue?”

“No. It’s even worse. We’ve been investigating possible spies in the military for a while now, and it’s now been proven beyond a doubt Sun Wushe is one such spy. He’s actually the second-in-command of the Black Panther,” then Wei Zhuo asks when Sun Wushe left, precisely.

After hearing about the exact moment Sun Wushe left the movie theatre, Wei Zhuo coldly explains, “he must have known exactly how far the investigation has been along. And he’s bold. He left not a single moment sooner.”

“But, wasn’t he your younger brother?!” Cheng Zhaoci wasn’t expecting Sun Wushe to be undercover all along.

Him? A spy? Seriously?! He might have an impish personality, but he didn’t feel dangerous like a space pirate. In fact, Sun Wushe helped stop Jin Yue when he ran into him on the Capital planet once. He also knows Sun Wushe is on generally good terms with both Wei Zhuo and Meng Yuele, having grown up together. How could he possibly have been a spy all along?

“He’s my half-brother, that’s why, while all shemale soldiers had their holidays temporarily suspended, he was able to get his day off approved,” Wei Zhuo is clearly having a hard time processing this, too, “when you’re back to my granddad’s, please let him give you a full bodily scan to ensure your safety.”

“I did grow up with him, but we were actually on bad terms as teenagers. He only… starting acting mature when he’s grown older,” and now it looks like that was a complete ruse. He’s grown older, and learned how to hide his true self.

“Black Panther’s second-in-command remained shrouded in mystery for the five, six years he’s been in charge. I didn’t know at all, this guy was right under my nose all along,” Wei Zhuo is even smiling. His smile is frigid.

“Make sure you do your body check thoroughly. I have to get back to work, let’s talk later,” as Sun Wushe’s half-brother, Wei Zhuo is also currently on suspicion, especially because Sun Wushe had his day off and departure from the Capital planet approved in his name.

Cheng Zhaoci turns his head to the side, to look blankly at Xiao Ji, who shudders and says, “holy shit, so Ci-zai, you were neighbours with a high-ranking space pirate all along?!”

It sends shivers down spines just to think about it, and Sun Wushe… based on his parting speech to Cheng Zhaoci, he is clearly male-phobic as well, and not to any mild degree. How could he have fallen asleep during the movies, leaving Cheng Zhaoci basically alone with him?!

Xiao Ji seems positively frightened now, “did he really not touch you at all?”

“No. He just said a few words,” Cheng Zhaoci is still too much in shock.

Xiao Ji, though, seems to have drawn the wrong conclusion, “now I’m actually certain he really likes you,” why else would Sun Wushe have done nothing to Cheng Zhaoci, and even basically exposed his double identity with that off-putting speech?

Cheng Zhaoci is actually in agreement, but says nothing.

If what Sun Wushe said is his true feelings, he is probably not going to be in contact with him anymore. Cheng Zhaoci checks his contacts on his holodeck… Yup. He’s been blocked by Sun Wushe already, “I, I think it’s fine.”

Though Lu Yao clearly doesn’t agree, dragging him off to a whole cohort of physicians and body checks. Lu Yao also seems deeply disappointed learning of Sun Wushe’s true identity, sighing, “I’ve met the kid a few times. I thought he left his youthful hubris in the past.”

That’s all he would say on the matter.

He didn’t seem too surprised, however, that Sun Wushe still ended up on such a path, having had this worry when Sun Wushe was but a teenager. Then he quickly changes the topic, possibly for Cheng Zhaoci’s sake, to help him take his mind off of it.
