The Dawn of the New World

Chapter 121 - Follower Continued

"Sure, they seem reasonable enough. I agree," Hao Xuan nodded after thinking it through. It didn't matter anyway since, in the end, all would belong to him.

Hao Xuan got up from his chair and with a bright smile and approached Yangdi with his hand outstretched. Yangdi was taken aback at first but smiled and got up to shake his hand quickly.

As they shook hands, Hao Xuan tightened his grip while looked at Yangdi earnestly, "I'm sorry, It won't hurt much," he said and Yangdi's countenance changed instantly as he realized that to his left and right, without even noticing when everything had turned black.

But before he could do anything about it, two large fists that looked like giant hammers slammed into his chest and back simultaneously.

Hao Xuan let out a sigh of relief when he saw Green and Red's attack land directly on Yangdi's flimsy body. He extended his left hand toward Yangdi's head, ready to sever his soul.

Yangdi who had blood coming out from the side of his mouth looked at Hao Xuan with a murderous expression, "Little boy, you have some balls to attack me in my own home, and in this room of all places. What is your purpose? Who hired you?"

"Hired me? No one. As I said, you will understand soon, don't worry I'm not trying to kill you," Hao Xuan replied and channeled Qi into his left hand that was about the land on Yangdi's head.

Just as Hao Xuan's hand touched Yangdi's head, a mocking smile appeared on his face, "Fool," he laughed and a burst of Qi erupted from his forehead and Hao Xuan's eyes dilated.

*BZZZZZT*

His entire left hand was gone completely, leaving only a bloody stump in its place. He didn't panic but his expression did turn angry.

He looked down to meet Yangdi's gaze, "You're in the Spirit realm? I am....surprised."

Yangdi was indeed at the 2nd stage of the Spirit realm, and if not for the full force attacks of Green and Red that caused his Qi to be in disarray, he would've already killed him.

"You have less than 30 seconds to try to escape, otherwise the room will annihilate everyone other than me, unless I stop it. Which in case you didn't understand, I won't," he smiled in a care-free manner that for some reason pissed Hao Xuan even more.

"If you tell me who hired you, I can give you a way out. I'm a businessman first and foremost and don't like bloodshed," he said when Hao Xuan kept quiet for a few more seconds.

"Tik Tok, time is running out."

Hao Xuan looked down at his left hand, or rather where it supposed to be, and smiled.

"You're a businessman, but I'm not. Do you think after destroying my hand there would be no other way for me to do what I wanted?" Yangdi's smile froze and he held Hao Xuan's right hand with everything he got.

Spirit realm cultivators had almost perfect bodies. Every single piece of flesh and bone had been refined over and over again for them to take their first step into the Spirit Realm, where they would strengthen their souls.

Even if they didn't focus on body enhancement techniques, there was no way for an Origin Realm cultivator to overpower a Spirit Realm expert.

Hao Xuan tried to pull his hand away but it didn't budge an inch. He looked at Yangdi once again and sighed, "Why are you making this so hard? I won't treat you unfairly."

But before Yangdi could reply, Hao Xuan pulled his head back and circulated Emperor's and Force Qi to his forehead which started glowing brightly, "This will be my first time as well, let's see if it works," with that he brought it down with everything he had and hit Yangdi on top of his head.

An extremely bright light flashed when their heads connected that blinded even Green and Red that were holding Yangdi down.

Five seconds later the light vanished and Hao Xuan could be seen standing in front of Yangdi, holding his left hand to stop the bleeding.

Yangdi, on the other hand, had a blank expression on his face for a few seconds but soon regained his usual expression. He stomped on the ground and the runes and letters that were glowing brighter every second calmed down and returned to normal.

Only then did Green and Red let go of him.

"Kneel," Hao Xuan said without looking up and everyone in the room instantly got down on one knee.

"Master," said the three voices together that made Hao Xuan nod his head with a cheerful expression.

He waved his right hand and both Green and Red vanished, leaving only the battered Yangdi and the bloody Hao Xuan.

"Get up. Change into something proper," Hao Xuan said to him. He didn't reply and simply took out a new Kimono from his spirit ring and started putting it on in front of Hao Xuan, which left him speechless.

With a reddened face Hao Xuan turned around himself, giving him some privacy.

"Master," Yangdi said respectfully once he was done, prompting Hao Xuan to turn back around.

"Relax. I told you before I won't treat you unfairly. You can tell me your story and ambitions once I return," he said upon seeing Yangdi's depressed state.

"For now, find me a place to stay. Somewhere out of the way but that looks over a populated area. Nothing fancy. And get that information for me about the Royal family. I want to see what's so special about them. This is my account number, deduct whatever the cost comes out to be. If you need anything, contact me."

He gave Yangdi a few orders while bandaging his left hand to stop the bleeding. He then took out a jacket from the storage ring and put it on to cover his bloody stump.

"Let's go," he looked at the door and Yangdi came forward to open it and led him back outside. "Let's go, brother," Hao Xuan said to Sixth as soon as he saw him and continued walking out.

Sixth looked at them both for a few seconds as his eyes glinted with an unknown emotion.. He didn't say anything and followed after Hao Xuan.
