There was a phrase that said, blind dates are full of weirdos. The meaning was, by going to blind dates, it was easy to encounter weird people.

Guo Zhi felt that her luck was strangely good for once. The one this time at least had a better appearance than the last one.

The day before yesterday, July 1st, Her Majesty Mom had given her a call.

“It’s already ‘next month’, I’ve already given your number to the other person. When that person calls you, go obediently and don’t try to do anything funny, understood?” Her Majesty Mom said sternly.

Guo Zhi cried out pitifully: “Didn’t we agree to wait for the last one to call me? Who knows if he is still considering me? Let’s keep waiting!”

That was why when she got the call, she obediently arranged a time to eat dinner with the other party. The other party’s company’s office building was also in CBD, not far away from her company. During the whole dinner, he did not ask her about her income, car, and apartment. He did not make her feel that disgusted feeling she got, as if she was putting herself to be weighted.

Even though… his gaze… is a bit lusty… but he is a man, and it’s understandable. Guo Zhi consoled herself. He was a handsome man, so even if he was lusty, she could tolerate it. She did not think too much about why a man that was handsome and rich would go to blind dates.

She never thought that there would be men who could not be tolerated even if they were handsome.

That night, the handsome guy added her on WeChat, and they talked to each other. The following night, they continued talking, and as they were talking, he suddenly asked: [Are you still a virgin?]

When Guo Zhi saw that, she was stunned.

After being stunned for a moment, she replied: [I’m already 28.]

She was dizzy with anger. A heart that wanted to seriously and honestly date with the intention of ending in marriage was heavily damaged!

The phrase that parents really liked to say was, ‘The people in blind dates are all people who are introduced by family and friends, we are very familiar with them!’

But they did not stop to think, that in this age of internet, people could have one face in real life and another one for virtual life. When it came to people, there was no such thing as being ‘very familiar’! No one could know everything about another person!

This caused Guo Zhi to be unable to sleep properly for the whole night, and the next day, she was in low spirits.

The bright side was that the models were professionals, and the photographer was one that had a good reputation; the shooting progressed relatively well.

They all pretended to not see Guo Zhi’s expression.

Even though just now Michael gave a bunch of reasons, the present people knew what was really happening. They all knew about the confrontation between Guo Zhi and Michael and just pretended to not know anything, since they could not offend either of them.

One moment they would do their work, and another moment they would glance at the model’s body. Everybody was taking advantage.

Working in this kind of industry, only girls who were willing to sacrifice something were able to make it to the top.

Guo Zhi was so angry that she felt that her liver and lungs hurt. She simply decided to not look.

She turned back and saw a cold beauty standing by the door, watching the whole scene that was happening.

She rubbed the veins in her temples while walking over and, with a gloomy face said: “Have I become old? Why do I not understand the way that the young girls nowadays think like?”

That cold beauty was her co-worker and good friend Gu Qing Xia.

“There is nothing that can’t be understood.” She curled her lips. “Michael can be considered someone that has some fame and connections in the industry. Just how old is she? How long has it been since she debuted? If through this, she manages to hold on to Michael, she won’t care about rules being broken. You are blocking it with a good heart, but the person herself may think that you are preventing her success.”

Guo Zhi felt that her mocking smile was much more beautiful and alluring, compared to those of the models she had worked with before. But, after listening to her words, instead of feeling that her liver and lungs hurt, she felt that her balls hurt.

“It probably really is because I can’t keep up with the times then.” She mockingly said. Both she and Gu Qing Xia were people that were close to the age of 30.

“It can’t be judged like that.” Gu Qing Xia crossed her arms and looked towards the sight under the lights. “It’s only a matter of the way of living of every person. No matter how other people decide to live, it has nothing to do with us.”

Guo Zhi looked at the young and beautiful body under the lights and sighed.

“Shen Yuan’s project has passed.” Gu Qing Xia changed the topic.

Sure enough, after Guo Zhi heard that, her eyes brightened. “Finally, what’s the budget?”

Gu Qing Xia smiled and remained silent. She lifted her hand and gave a number.

“OMG, Qing Xia, you’re so incredible!” Guo Zhi’s face was full of excitement, “I knew that you would get it. Damn, it was held up by Vivian for such a long time. If another company had gotten it, Xiao Gang’s face expression would have been terrible!”

Office politics were such a complicated matter. Guo Zhi knew how many twists and turns Gu Qing Xia had to take to get this project, but she also knew how capable her friend was and believed in her. In the end, the project was taken by her just like she (Guo Zhi) expected and all her (Gu Qing Xia) hard work was paid off.

“I sent you the timeline in the afternoon. Don’t forget to see the email at night.” Gu Qing Xia reminded her, “There will be a reunion tomorrow. The proposal to be given to the client must be done by next week at the latest.”

“Don’t worry!” When talking about work, Guo Zhi would be very sure of herself and radiant.

The two of them talked for a moment more, and then Gu Qing Xia left. Outside of the studio, a young handsome guy was standing. It seemed like a model. She did not place importance on it.
