Terros looked at Veronica. "Eh? Where are they going?" he asked, wide-eyed.

Veronica smiled at the suspicious look she noticed on Terros's face. "Grandpa, don't worry, they're adults already. Leave them alone," she said jokingly. She remembered that the deity wants to have some conditions first before helping Graven. But she won't tell Grandpa about it.

"Where are they going?" Terros persisted.

"Inside the house. Where do you think they're going?" Veronica smiled.

Terros scratched his head in confusion. "The deity know that Graven is married already!" he insisted.

Veronica sighed. "I know. But if Elva will ask something in return for her help, do you think Graven will refuse? We both know that the poor guy had a pressing need right now. He wants to rescue his brother and his men that were trapped underneath the castle. He will do anything to save them, am I right?"

"Correct!" Terros replied.

"See... you guys come here to ask the deity's help. Graven is willing to do anything to save his men and his brother. That's why we have to trust them and respect what their decision will be," Veronica explained.

Terros fell silent for a few minutes. Then he looked at Veronica. "Do you think the deity will ask Graven to stay with her and order him to leave his wife in return for her help?" he asked worriedly.

Veronica breathed deeply. "That's possible considering that the goddess has a thing for Graven. But let's hope that it won't come to that point because Laura will be the one who will get hurt in the end if that would happen, especially that she is heavily pregnant right now," she responded.

Terros shook his head. "Let's hope so!"

"Before you guys come here, Elva already told me that she finally comes up with a plan. They must be discussing that plan right now. Let's trust Elva this time, just like we did when we asked her for help regarding the cure for the black liquid. She already had a thousand years old experience, and her power is beyond we could ever imagine," Veronica elaborated further.

"Alright, I will stop worrying. Pressing times like this, we need to focus on the solution and push our worries and doubts behind," Terros finally relented. He feels at ease now compared to earlier when they were still at his place, and Graven told him about his plan to proceed with his suicide mission.

Suicide can only be good if there is nothing left to try and all resources, means, and possibilities are already exhausted.

Whatever the deity wants in exchange for her help, then Graven has to agree. If the deity's plan works, then not only Graven can save his brother, he can also save the lives of his men.

If the person wants to survive and continue living badly in this world, then one must do anything, even if sometimes it's against one's good morals and principles, and Terros knew all that.

Why become a hero for a short time?

Why not become a hero for a long time while occasionally doing some not-so-savvy activities behind our back? After all, no one is perfect in this world? Everyone has a bad and good side. It all depends on what you use more often, your bad or good side?

Veronica watched Grandpa fell into deep thought. She might as well start preparing the ingredients for the dishes that she's going to cook for dinner later. She needs to feed four people tonight, including herself. Her cooking must be presentable and palatable!

She turned around, going back towards the house.

"Where are you going?" Terros asked her.

"I'm going to the kitchen to prepare dishes for dinner," she replied.

"Can I go with you and help you?" he asked.

"No need. Just relax, watch over Luke's body and enjoy the scenery while I'm getting busy in the kitchen," she said and proceeds to the entrance of the marble house.

"Alright!" Terros muttered to himself. He glanced at Luke's body. He had already put the body back in the bubble to protect it from the outside particles that can hamper the healing process. Right now, Luke is looking like a green man, fully coated with the green powder. He trusted fully the deity's expertise when it comes to creating powerful herbal medicine. After Elva created the cure that expelled the black liquid from the bodies of its victims, she gained his trust and respect.

Now that he's here.

He was wondering where is the location of the secret cave where plants and trees can move and talk to each other? It would be an awesome experience if he can see the plants in action with his eyes! It would be fantastic!

He roamed his eyes around the scenery. Everything is peaceful and heavenly. It's like being suspended in an open air surrounded by a sea of clouds, so calming and soothing for the soul! He might as well enjoy the invigorating atmosphere while he's here!

He smiled broadly, closed his eyes, and surrendered himself to the relaxing breeze circulating the mountain.

Feel so niceeeee!

He felt sleepy.

A few minutes later, Terros had fallen asleep on the marble lounge chair.

Veronica exited the door to check on the old man and found him sleeping soundly on the chair. She went back inside the house, took a blanket from her room, and bring it outside to cover Grandpa Terros's sleeping form.

Done, she returned to the kitchen to continue cooking her dishes.

In the kitchen, while chopping the vegetables and chicken meat, she was wondering what the couple has been doing inside the deity's bedroom right now?

She was naturally curious, of course!

She was wanting to know the juicy details of what's happening inside the bedroom. The deity can be so playful and naughty sometimes! She found herself giggling.

Half an hour later.

Elva left her bedroom and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. She drinks the water first and filled it again. She looked at Veronica. "Inform your Grandpa Terros that he and Graven will stay here overnight," she ordered.

Veronica nodded her head. "Okay."

Elva was about to leave the kitchen.

"Wait...is...is Graven alright?" Veronica asked.

"Of course!" Elva smiled. "You silly girl! I know what you're thinking in your mind right now!" she giggled and left the kitchen.

Veronica rolled her eyes and smiled. "Sly Elva! Such a tease!" She was sure that the horny thousand-year-old goddess is making advances to Graven right now. Well, a pregnant woman seducing a guy? What is the possible thing that could happen? After all, Elva got preggy by disguising herself as Graven's wife.

When it comes to lust and passion, the thousand-year-old deity is just like any normal woman out there who would do anything to lay their hands on the object of their affection, by hook or by crook!

She found herself giggling while doing her task in the kitchen.

One hour later.

She left the kitchen and went to the terrace to check on the old man. He was already awake!

"How's your sleep?" she asked.

"Good! Thanks for the blanket. It's keeping me warm," Terros said.

"Don't mention it, Grandpa," Veronica replied.

Terros looked at the entrance of the house. "Um... where is Graven?" he asked curiously.

"Inside Elva's bedroom," veronica replied.

Terros's brows knitted together in confusion. "What makes him stay there for so long?" he asked in bewilderment.

"Because I put him into a deep sleep..." Elva answered as she came out of the door. "Graven has suffered so much emotional and mental torture because of the King. He's been hiding it deep inside him. I want to repair his soul and stamina. There's nothing to worry. He's perfectly alright. Trust me, he is in good hands!" she explained and looked at the old man in the eyes. "By the way, I suggest that you two will spend the night here in my place because I've just started with Graven, and we still have to discuss my plan in attacking the King in his territory and eliminate him once and for all!" she said.

"Got it, goddess!" Terros replied.

Done talking to the old man, Elva retreated into the house.

After the deity is gone, Terros and Veronica looked at each other in wonderment.

"Do you believe what the goddess has told us about Graven sleeping in her bedroom? She's acting like a wife to him right now," Terros declared.

Veronica shrugged. "Well... it's just a little bit of inconvenience that Graven has to bear, for the time being, to save the life of his brother and his men that are waiting underground in that castle for his rescue. Sometimes to get what we want in life, we have to sacrifice our time, and some part of ourselves to reach our goal. No sacrifice, no gain!" she reminded him.

Terros agreed. "Indeed. Wisely said, daughter!" he said with a smile.

Veronica glanced at the bubble. "Wow! Luke is looking like a green mascot!" she commented and ended up laughing hard.

Terros joined in her contagious laughter.

Their merry laughter vibrated around the terrace.

After the laughter died, Terros earnestly looked at Veronica. "How effective is that green powder I sprinkled all over Luke's body?" he asked.

"I dunno... I only have seen that herbal medicine today. I have no idea if it's effective or not. But based on Elva's previous success with the cure that eliminated the black liquid, I'm sure the green powder will also produce an excellent result! Let's see the result after twelve hours. For now, let's continue observing Luke's condition," Veronica replied and rose to her feet.

Terros asked, "Where are you going?"

"Back to the kitchen to start cooking. Enjoy yourselves with the spectacular scenery, Grandpa!" Veronica replied and walked towards the house.
