The villain's side of the novel

43 The massacre continues

"The Impossible Portal 3," Adam mumbled in a low voice as he looked at the crowds of soldiers rushing around him. Suddenly, a white gate opened behind Adam, and then...

*The Portal of the Dark Mantis.*

Suddenly tens of dark mantises emerged from the portal with an aura of menace and otherworldly presence. Tens of these formidable creatures, each adorned with solid black shells, stood tall on their spindly, insectoid legs. Their elongated bodies were sleek and menacing, exuding an eerie energy.

The chitinous exoskeleton of the dark mantises glistened under the light, absorbing it rather than reflecting it. Their carapaces seemed impenetrable, a natural armor that protected them from any external threat. Large, multifaceted eyes glowed with an intense crimson hue, giving them an unnerving, predatory stare.

At the end of their forelimbs, scythes extended like wicked blades, honed to a deadly edge. These razor-sharp appendages were capable of slicing through even the toughest of defenses, leaving behind trails of destruction in their wake. The dark mantises wielded their scythes with precision and lethal grace, showcasing their natural prowess as hunters.

As they moved, their agile bodies displayed an uncanny swiftness and fluidity. They navigated the battlefield with deceptive ease, their movements almost dance-like. It was as if they possessed an innate understanding of their own physicality, allowing them to strike swiftly and retreat with lightning speed

Yes, this is the method that Adam developed over the decades. He visited nine of the most dangerous places on the continent and, after surviving with the help of his meticulous preparations, he left closed portals behind. Now Adam can open these portals and transfer the deadly dangers from those places to wherever he desires. He called them the Nine Impossible Portals.

The Dark Mantis Portal was left by Adam in the most treacherous abyss in the human continent, which housed millions of powerful monsters. He placed it specifically in the area of the Dark Mantis colony because he was able to tame them. These creatures despised sunlight, and after years of being summoned by Adam, they learned that their only way to return to their colony and escape the annoying sun was by carrying out Adam's orders. Adam would eventually send them back using his magic. Although they loathed him, they wouldn't dare attack him since they knew their only way back to the abyss was through him.

"Ahhhhh!"

"It's so fast!"

"Use the formations!"

Several strange attacks were launched at the monsters, but their speed rendered the soldiers unable to hit them. Instead, the monsters only increased in speed and ferocity. In less than a minute, over a thousand soldiers died without even realizing how it happened.

-----Meanwhile, on the northern side-----

"Ugh, pl...please..."

"I'm so...sorry..."

"Ugh..."

Thousands of soldiers were lifted into the sky by an invisible force, each of them bearing pained expressions and struggling to breathe. Unfortunately...

It didn't take long for successive crushing sounds to fill the air as the necks of thousands of soldiers, including warriors from the Fourth and even Fifth Kingdoms, were simultaneously broken. Their lifeless bodies fell to the ground.

"You really are a terrifying beast." Kamal emerged from the crowd, accompanied by six other army commanders, and approached Montaser. Montaser stood among hundreds of corpses with a solemn expression.

"Kamal, how dare you attack Iskar City?" Montaser asked in a cold voice.

"I'm the one who should ask you why you're so loyal to that brat. You know very well that he is the reason behind the decline of the Parada family," said Kamal.

"It seems that Adam was right. You have become brave enough to insult the head of the Parada family in front of me," Montaser replied angrily.

"..." Kamal trembled slightly under Montaser's fierce gaze.

"The Undead Knight," Montaser said with an emotionless expression on his face.

As soon as Montaser spoke these words, a tall skeletal knight suddenly appeared. The Undead Knight stood tall and imposing, its skeletal form emanating an aura of darkness and foreboding. Clad in black iron armor, the armor plates were intricately fused to its bones, forming a seamless connection. The armor had a sleek, menacing design, with sharp edges and angular motifs that added to its eerie appearance.

The skeletal knight's skull was menacing, with hollow eye sockets that emitted an eerie glow of malevolent energy. A jagged, toothy grin adorned its face, exuding an aura of darkness and death. From its skull, two bony horns curved outward, adding to its ominous appearance. And at its hand was a long sword, with a dark black blade.

Upon witnessing Montaser's summoned spirit, the seven commanders rush towards him with terrifying speed. However, the undead knight intercepted two commanders, preventing them from reaching Montaser. This left the remaining five leaders to face Montaser alone.

The undead knight was a rank-six spirit, easily capable of fighting against two leaders whose strength did not exceed the sixth kingdom.

On the other side, the five commanders shot toward Montaser with rocket speed. Kamal and the leader of the Darken mercenaries were fighters from the seventh kingdom, while the others belonged to the sixth kingdom. Their plan was simple: by combining their strength, they believed they could defeat Montaser and then proceed to Adam's location to kill him as well. They considered these two to be the most dangerous threats, and after eliminating them, dealing with the remaining enemies would be easy.

After the commanders reached Montaser, they attacked him with their swords, each strike carrying terrifying power. However, before their attacks could reach Montaser, they were repelled by an invisible barrier, pushing the commanders back.

Then, with a swift motion of his outstretched hand, the ground beneath Montaser trembled. As if responding to his unspoken command, the towering trees surrounding him began to groan and creak. Roots, deeply entrenched in the earth, wriggled free, their bonds severed by Montaser's telekinetic energy.

In a breathtaking display of power, the colossal trees rose from the ground, their massive forms ascending toward the sky. The forest seemed to come alive, branches swaying and leaves rustling in a dance choreographed by Montaser's mind.

Montaser surrounded the trees with powerful invisible barriers, making them more solid than steel. Then, channeling his strength, he exerted his power to push the hundreds of reinforced trees toward the leaders.

Time seemed to slow as the commanders recoiled in shock and disbelief, their initial confidence waning. Before they could react, Montaser's control over the trees manifested in an astonishing burst of speed. With a surge of energy, the uplifted trees hurtled through the air with remarkable velocity, propelled by his taleckenises.

" Stop them..." looking at the countless advancing trees with a ppalacesshouted Kamal desperately.

*Sword of Wind!*

*Mon Blade!*

 *Cut the Mountain!*

The leaders employed their skills to counter the trees hurtlintowardds them. With great difficulty, they managed to halt the trees' advance, but not without suffering losses.

"Ugh..." A pained groan escaped Stevan's lips as he lay on the ground, his lower half trapped in a tree that had crashed into the earth, forming a massive hole. He glanced back at his scattered guts with a regretful expression, as his consciousness started adding away gradually
