VRMMORPG: Dragomancer Reborn

171 Quest And Requests

Alchemist Lugan heard Arthur's request and found it reasonable.

"That is easy. We have the Signal flares for emergencies, so you can just use that." Fredric spoke up before the Alchemist. "They are visible for quite far so there shouldn't be an issues."

"Indeed. As for the explosives, what kind do you need in particular?" Alchemist Lugan asked. "I have a few of them in storage, too." He added.

"I need something that has a large delayed explosion," Arthur replied.

"Large and delayed, Hmm… I can make them but I'll need some time to prepare a few of the ingredients." Alchemist Lugan said furrowing his brows.

"How long would that take?" Arthur asked.

"A day perhaps," Lugan replied.

"That will be troublesome… we need to be fast about this," Arthur said before thinking of something. "Though what if you use this?" he took out the vials of Ember Bellow Fluid.

"HO!" As soon as Alchemist Lugan laid his eyes on the vials, they lit up. "Is this from the Ember Bellow Lizards?" he asked to confirm.

"Indeed." Arthur nodded his head.

"GREAT!" Lugan was quite excited. "I can easily use this. Not only will this not take that long to make, but the explosion would be greater too!" he explained.

"Good, you can use them too. Make as many as you can from them." Arthur handed the vials to the old man.

The man quickly stored them in his waist pouch and seemed eager to get to work.

"Let's return upstairs then. No use in wasting here." Fredric said.

"Yeah." Caleb agreed.

They all returned upstairs where Fredrick asked the guards to get rid of the three dead bandits.

And once they were back in the office, Lugan spoke up.

"I'll get to work right away. It won't take that long, just an hour or so." Alchemist Lugan stated.

"That's fine." Arthur nodded his head. "I'll wait."

Lugan left in the next moment with an excited look on his face. It was clear that he was excited to use the fluid too.

'That saves me the effort of making the explosives myself. They'll be better quality too.' Arthur thought to himself.

He had originally intended to make explosives from the Ember Bellow Fluid anyway and now he could do so without needing any crafting costs.

'He should be able to make at least three explosives from that. I'll only need to use one in the mission, the rest can be used for later.' Arthur thought to himself. 'Though having them will still be good as a precaution.'

While he was thinkings all this though, the guard captain spoke up in a serious tone.

"Adventure Arzhur, are you sure you are willing to undertake this dangerous mission for us? For Roran Town?" Guard Captain Fredric asked formally.

"Of course, I am," Arthur said with confidence. 'Here it comes!'

And as soon Arthur accepted it, the quest notification popped up.

>Quest has been issued!<

——

Looking at the quest notification, Arthur couldn't help but smile. It was a quest that had never been seen before and he had been waiting for it to be generated.

He had taken actions that had led to this moment, and it had finally happened.

'While the reward is unknown, it just means it has a high potential to be great.' Arthur thought.

There was still the warning, but Arthur didn't mind it as much since he knew his level couldn't compare to others. His stats were a lot higher than other players of the same level and he also had equipment, skills, and a companion to help him.

'And if things go according to how I've planned, I won't need to even worry about fighting the bandit chief.' Arthur hoped.

"I'll be waiting eagerly for your signal," Fredric said, pulling Arthur out of his thoughts. "Though if you feel like it is too dangerous for you, don't hesitate to retreat." He added in a concerned tone.

"I'll be careful. You don't have to worry, Captain Fredric." Arthur assured the man.

After all, Arthur had a few methods that would simply be unthinkable to the guard captain.

A particular item in his possession could potentially spread a lot of chaos when used in the right way.

It was an item made for chaos by its creator anyway, and he would be very pleased to see it being used for its intended purpose as well.

Arthur spent an hour talking with the Guard Captain as well as the Guild master of the adventure guild. He told them a few more details about his plan and what they would need to do in case things went wrong.

"What we need to focus on in particular would be the actions of the Cultists. We have no guarantee whether they are located in the same location as the Bandits. Then there are also those 'blessed beasts' of theirs to worry about. While the barrier will prevent them from entering, there is no saying what the cultists might do in desperation." Arthur stated before taking a pause.

"As such, I think it is important to have the town ready for such an attack too. Guild Master Caleb will be important for this since Guard Captain won't be present here." Arthur looked at the man.

"I am fine with that," Caleb said with confidence. "I'll defend the town with the guards and other adventurers. They'll do their duty and so will the stronger residents of the town."

"In all this, we also need to ensure that Resident Mage Hudd is protected at all times." Arthur emphasized.

"I'll take care of that. There is someone who can possibly provide better protection than our guards here." Frederic replied. "Melcher will be perfect for it."
