Saturday came and I was at a large shopping mall with Kanzaki-san.

As expected, Kanzaki-san stood out from the crowd, and the stares from those around us were painful. Why would such a beautiful woman be with a dull guy… No wonder they thought like that.

After all, the girl I was with was the most beautiful girl in school.

You must be so happy to have a date with such a girl, right? You had those thoughts, didn’t you? I didn’t at all.

I’d rather go home.

What I didn’t want you to misunderstand was that I didn’t dislike Kanzaki-san or anything.

In fact, I regarded her as a nice person who treated me kindly.

What I couldn’t for the life of me was understand why she asked me out… I had no idea about this one thing. I’d rather stop thinking about it, though, because I figured there was no point in thinking about it.

She said she talked to me on the day of the exam, but I had no memory of that either.

When I thought about it, there was indeed someone I talked to. But the person I talked to was not a beautiful girl like Kanzaki-san, but a quiet-looking girl with glasses and shaggy hair.

(T/N: Ah that troupe)

I was sure that was not Kanzaki-san.

“Nakajima-kun! Don’t waste any time! Hurry up and get going.”

“Ah.”

And so I was forced to accompany Kanzaki-san on her shopping spree.
