After dinner that day, Hai Tang cut the rewarded watermelon into small pieces and served it on the table. Everyone sat around in the yard, chatting while eating.

Seeing that it was still early, Director Mu suggested playing a small game as evening entertainment.

“Everyone here is in the circle1entertainment circle, so let’s play something that everyone is familiar with.” Director Mu said and took out a small square box. “I have a set of character cards here, let’s play ‘You act, I guess’. Just treat it as acting for fun.”

Seeing the box in Mu Zhixing’s hand, Cheng Zhiyi immediately lay on the table and hummed: “Mister, why did you take out my dad’s training card to use as a game…”

This plan set of cards was originally used for acting training. Not to mention Qi Peng and Chu Yinlong, who have been in the entertainment industry for many years, even Cheng Zhiyi has “played” this card-drawing game before. At higher difficulties, several people can draw separately, and be forced to use these characters to create a logical and consistent narrative.

Now Mu Zhixing uses it as a game. For Cheng Zhiyi, it is no different from being suddenly asked to do homework.

“Just play this, this is good.” Qi Peng apparently agreed with Mu Zhixing. “Hai Tang, An’an, and Xiao Dao probably have never played this, and the audience will see it as fun… Let’s add rewards and punishments to make it more interesting.”

Everyone added a sentence, and quickly settled the rules of the game – everyone draws a card from the box, and then does a physical reenactment of the character. No speaking or voices. The audience can only guess the content of the card through one’s actions.

The guest who guesses the fastest in each round can ask the guest who guessed wrong the most times to tell a truth or perform a dare.

“Alright, we’ve agreed. No purposely making wrong guesses.” Before the game started, Qi Peng set the rules first, and especially pointed in Cheng Zhiyi’s direction. “If someone deliberately guesses wrong, they will be punished and run ten laps around the mountain.”

“No way, Dad Qi. We’ll all behave!” Cheng Zhiyi shouted.

The game started quickly, and Director Mu, as the one to propose this game, drew a card first. He squinted and looked at it, thought for a moment, walked to the middle, made a movement of shaking off some kind of fabric, then retracted his arms. His hands seemed to be holding something straight, and then his hands began to hover over that thing, making movements like combing hair and using scissors.

“Sculptor?” Hai Tang said.

Director Mu shook his head regretfully.

“Barber?” An Zhe guessed tentatively.

“Oh, how is that possible, I think…” Cheng Zhiyi hurriedly interjected. “I think he may be a potting master who spreads the tablecloth, puts the flowers on the table, and then prunes…”

No wonder Qi Peng reminded him earlier. There really is a master who doesn’t follow the rules and speaks nonsense.

Fortunately, the eyes of the others were sharp, and An Zhe also gave the correct answer, so they were not entangled by Cheng Zhiyi’s nonsense.

Next, Qi Peng drew a relatively difficult “air stewardess” and was wrongly guessed three times. Then Hai Tang came to the stage, and made a “tailor” performance that was guessed wrong twice.

Then it was Chu Yinlong’s turn. He reached out to pick a card, raised his eyebrows slightly, and slowly placed it back on the table.

Chu Yinlong got up and entered the arena. As he walked, he stooped to his back, and his legs and feet seemed to be out of strength as he limped with his knees bent, silently stretching out a trembling hand in the direction of the table…

The whole place was silent.

Then Qi Peng couldn’t help laughing out loud: “Xiao Chu, you’re playing too seriously, right? Are you taking out your real kung fu?”

Chu Yinlong turned a deaf ear, his eyes slowly turned like a wood, his eyes fell on Jiang Dao, and then he opened his palms weakly.

Jiang Dao looked at Chu Yinlong for a moment, then said in a low voice, “…beggar.”

Hearing the correct answer, Chu Yinlong’s eyes instantly recovered. His body straightened, and the corners of his mouth curled. “It’s a beggar, you guessed right.”

He walked back to the dining table with a smile, picked up the card box and placed it in front of Jiang Dao: “It’s your turn.”

Jiang Dao retracted his gaze, stretched out his hand and took out a card from the box, opened it, and saw only a simple letter written on it. A simple word – “cat”.

What’s the situation?

Jiang Dao raised his eyebrows in surprise.

How come other people’s performances are careers, and his is an animal?

And this game clearly states that onomatopoeia is not allowed, so he can’t meow. He can only express it through actions… But the body structure of a human and a cat is so different, how can he act like a cat? Through feeling?

After thinking for a moment, Jiang Dao put the card back on the table, recalling the cats he had seen before, got up and walked slowly to the arena, and then—— slumped down, pouted, stretched his arms, and stretched out his waist slowly and lazily.

Cheng Zhiyi slammed the table: “Bar dancer!”

Jiang Dao: …

He said, how can a normal person think in the direction of an animal!

This card is too pitiful for him.

Recalling the behavior of cats he had seen, Jiang Dao slowly crouched down, opened his hands to make a claw shape, and began to grind his claws on the ground.

“Hahahahaha!” Cheng Zhiyi laughed. “Are you playing Taotao digging a pit? Are you a dog? Oh yes, I remember that there are animal options… Is it a dog, Xiao Dao?”

Jiang Dao looked at Cheng Zhiyi speechlessly, not sure whether the other party made a mistake on purpose or didn’t really see it.

Thinking carefully again, Jiang Dao lowered his head, imitating the cat’s movements, sticking out the tip of his tongue, and squinting his eyes and pretending to lick his arms.

“Oh, cat.” Cheng Zhiyi guessed right this time.

After suddenly realizing it, he added: “The most obvious difference between cats and other animals is that they can lick their own fur. You should’ve performed this from the beginning, so I wouldn’t have guessed wrong.”

Jiang Dao smiled noncommittally, got up, and returned to his seat.

Next, Cheng Zhiyi and An Zhe also drew cards to perform. Cheng Zhiyi was worthy of being a well-known young talent. His performance was so vivid that An Zhe guessed it at a glance.

But An Zhe was not so lucky. Not only did he get a reverse role like “maid”, but he also had no special expression, and was guessed wrong seven or eight times.

“Two winners in the first round, which of you two will give An’an a question?” Qi Peng smiled and said. “An’an, do you want a truth or dare?”

An Zhe hesitated for a while: “I choose the truth.”

Chu Yinlong smiled and waved his hand: “Let’s ask Xiao Yi.”

Cheng Zhiyi gave An Zhe a wicked smile and stretched out his hand to hook An Zhe’s neck. “Then let me ask you, have you ever had a crush? Hmm? Don’t lie!”

An Zhe hesitated. After a moment, he silently glanced at the camera.

Cheng Zhiyi moved his head back. “Hey, don’t worry about the camera. You know how loyal I am. I didn’t ask who you had a crush on, but only if you had a crush. Just say if you have, and you don’t need to say the name… Hurry up!”

After a long while, An Zhe nodded, and then defended himself in a low voice: “In middle school, it’s normal to have a crush!”

Cheng Zhiyi’s eyes widened: “Wow, middle school! Then it’s not only a crush, but also puppy love!”

The crowd responded with good-natured laughter.

Soon, the second round of the game begins.

This time, Chu Yinlong drew “mother”.

Although it is a reverse role, with his excellent acting skills and proficient grasp of the character’s temperament, he was only guessed wrong once by Cheng Zhiyi, and successfully passed.

Recalling Chu Yinlong’s happy and gentle appearance when he played “mother”, Jiang Dao’s understanding of an “actor” also quietly changed.

In the past month, he has watched a lot of plays and movies. Naturally, he also watched movies starring Chu Yinlong. But because Chu Yinlong is a kung fu star and mostly portrays tough guys in movies, which is very similar to his own temperament, Jiang Dao didn’t feel anything special.

But just now… Chu Yinlong had such a gentle expression on his face, teasing the “baby” in his arms, lifting the hem of his clothes without embarrassment and pretending to “breastfeed”. Jiang Dao did not expect it.

What he’s experienced and seen in the “entertainment circle” these days seems to be different from what he has read in the novel…

“Okay, it’s time for Xiao Dao.” Mu Zhixing’s voice interrupted Jiang Dao’s thoughts.

Jiang Dao returned to his senses, smiled apologetically at Director Mu, reached out and opened a card, and saw the word on it – “hunter”.

He’s familiar with this role.

Jiang Dao put the card back on the table, got up, turned around and grabbed a “gun” in the air, raised his hand to support the brim of the hat that didn’t exist, then lifted his leg and stepped over the “grass” and “bush”, and walked forward. After walking a few steps, he leaned over to check the “footprints” on the ground, searched for a while, suddenly stopped, put up the “gun” in his hand, waited patiently for a moment, and pulled the trigger.

The recoil pushed his body slightly, then he suddenly stood up, ran a few steps forward over the “grass obstacles”, crouched down beside the “prey”, took out the “dagger” from the lower back, and began to deal with the “prey” .

Off the field, Mu Zhixing and Chu Yinlong looked at each other and exchanged smiles.

Qi Peng couldn’t help but nod his head in admiration: “He’s grasped the essence of a ‘hunter’.”

Once guessed, Jiang Dao walked back to the table with a smile, and glanced at Chu Yinlong subconsciously.

Chu Yinlong hooked the corner of his mouth and gave Jiang Dao a thumbs up.

In the end, the second round of the game ended with Jiang Dao winning and An Zhe losing again.

An Zhe chose “truth” again. Jiang Dao didn’t embarrass him, and only asked him to pick one embarrassing thing from his childhood to talk about.

“Okay, let’s go to the last round.”

Mu Zhixing smiled and took back the cards that everyone had just drawn, then buckled out half of the box of cards, carefully sorted out a few more cards, and put the remaining half-stack of cards on the table.

“Let’s increase the difficulty and have an emotional round.”

Only then did Jiang Dao realize that the cards taken away were all blue, while the cards left on the table had red backs, which are probably Director Mu’s aforementioned “emotional” cards.

Sure enough, the first Mu Zhixing to perform was “angry granny”. This time, the difficulty of the performance increased greatly. Everyone guessed five times before they completely guessed it. During the period, there was much laughter and various oolongs.

Afterwards, Qi Peng performed “jealous woman”, Hai Tang performed “narcissistic young man”, and Chu Yinlong performed “haggard old man”. No one was spared, and they all guessed wrong several times. Chu Yinlong was lucky, and temporarily took the lead after being guessed wrong twice.

Jiang Dao raised his hand and rubbed his jaw, which hurt from laughing, and reached out to open the character card that belonged to him.

The next second, his smile froze at the corner of his mouth when he saw a few deliberately provocative words on the card–

“Girl in Love”.

They should be carrying those small watermelons the size of a cantaloupe; not the huge 10lb monsters over here.
