Villainous Singer (1)

When Song Xu Yi woke up again, she found herself on a bumpy interstellar spacecraft. Next to her was a tiny window, and in front of her, various planets were flashing by. She was cramped in a small cabin, which was incredibly tiny, perhaps only three or four square meters in size. There was an extremely narrow single bed, and there was barely any space to even turn over. Although the oxygen valve next to her indicated that it was functioning, Song Xu Yi still felt extremely suffocated.

For a moment, she was momentarily confused about how she ended up here. Just then, the voice of the system sounded rapidly in her mind, almost as if it was eagerly delivering the message right after she woke up.

“Xu Yi, I have some good news to tell you. I received a message from the main system, and it won’t be long before you can return to your own world.”

Song Xu Yi was stunned for a moment, not expecting to receive such news all of a sudden. Looking back on the experiences of traveling through different worlds over the years, it felt like ages had passed. From the initial confusion and unease to eventually enjoying the lives in these worlds, it seemed like only a moment had passed. Upon careful recollection, she realized that so many years had actually gone by in a blur.

Now, upon hearing the news of leaving, Song Xu Yi discovered a subtle sense of reluctance growing in her heart.

But soon, Song Xu Yi calmed down.

“Will I be able to regain my memories by then?”

“Or when can I probably return to the real world?”

Song Xu Yi spoke softly, and even though her former self might have been weak and fragile, she had a hunch that there must be a reason for her to become a tasker.

However, after receiving vague responses of ‘uncertainty’ from the system to both questions, Song Xu Yi’s mood returned to a state of unrest once again –

Since the system knew nothing, Song Xu Yi thought it would be better to continue completing the mission. After all, what was destined to happen would eventually come.

Song Xu Yi lay back in the cabin.

The top of the cabin was probably only about two meters high, but after lying down, the suffocating feeling eased considerably.

There was a small mirror nearby, reflecting a young face. This body looked very young, appearing to be around seven or eight years old. Despite the tender age, a pair of large optical glasses rested on the bridge of the nose.

Song Xu Yi took off the glasses, and the world before her immediately turned blurry.

In this seemingly technologically advanced era, it turns out that there is also nearsightedness?

Song Xu Yi recalled the interstellar era she had visited before. Even though humans in that era were divided into peculiar “ABO” forms, they had made profound developments in vision and beauty. The possibility of nearsightedness no longer existed.

Song Xu Yi put on her glasses again.

The original owner’s luggage was pitifully sparse, with only a shabby-looking suitcase. Song Xu Yi opened the suitcase, and on top was a neatly written letter:

“Xu Yi, I’ve been caught up with numerous matters lately and can’t come to see you off. All I can do is send you this letter to express my feelings…”

The letter, written extensively over several pages, seemed less like a farewell message and lacked much warmth. Instead, it mostly consisted of instructions for the original owner to study hard, even including some learning methods that Song Xu Yi found overly extreme. The letter urged the original owner to pursue technical proficiency at all costs.

The signature at the end of the letter read: Father – Song Yi.

As for the remaining items in the suitcase, apart from a couple of shabby garments, everything else was a collection of various books that appeared quite abstruse to Song Xu Yi.

This father…

Song Xu Yi furrowed her brow, sensing a profound sense of dissonance. The spacecraft the original owner was currently aboard appeared to be a product of highly advanced civilization. However, judging from this letter, the societal values of this era seemed remarkably simple and straightforward…

Song Xu Yi furrowed her brow, closed her eyes, and received the plot summary transmitted by the system.

She quickly understood the reason for this strange sense of dissonance—

Indeed, this was a highly developed civilization, but only for certain planets.

The technological advancement of certain planets progressed rapidly, even entering the post-mechanical era, possessing powerful planetary capabilities. To maintain the normal development of the universe, these formidable planets established cosmic laws that restrained them from launching invasions on weaker planets.

Originally, these powerful, high-end civilization planets balanced each other out and adhered to the cosmic laws, refraining from interfering in the development of less advanced planets. However, one day, these big planets discovered a crystal mineral named “Xijing” on a backward, small planet called Ruo Shui.

Compared to the advanced civilizations on other planets, Ruo Shui was appallingly backward, still in a simple mechanical era where men worked in agriculture and women in weaving. The entire planet was comprised of only one country called the “Ruo Shui Kingdom.” Despite being highly undeveloped, this country boasted an exceptionally large population, several times larger than the populations of the self-proclaimed high-end civilizations on other planets.

Researchers discovered that “Xijing” was truly miraculous. A small crystal could power a spacecraft for a month, and nearly all of Ruo Shui’s underground was filled with Xijing mines!

Upon the discovery of Xijing mines, the powerful advanced civilization planets couldn’t sit still. They sent teams one after another to Ruo Shui, with the nearest planet, “Proxima Centauri,” being the most aggressive.

Proxima Centauri possessed advanced and sophisticated civilization, particularly in their robotic technology. Their society had almost achieved full automation, with robots permeating various industries. As a result, Proxima Centauri’s demand for energy was increasingly intense. After discovering the Xijing mines, Proxima Centauri launched an attack on Ruo Shui first.

In the face of absolute technology, Ruo Shui seemed like a child guarding treasure against marauders, completely unable to resist the invasion of other civilizations.

Fortunately, perhaps due to some cosmic fate, Xijing possessed strong radiation. Except for the original inhabitants of Ruo Shui, the residents from other planets encountered strange radiation while mining Xijing. The radiation could lead to various illnesses or even fatalities. Moreover, the various machinery they invented would encounter peculiar malfunctions on Ruo Shui, rendering them inoperable.

As a result, the advanced civilizations did not exterminate the native people of Ruo Shui. They killed the original Emperor of Ruo Shui, dispersed the Ruo Shui Kingdom, and divided Ruo Shui into multiple territories, each occupied by different factions from various planets. They forced the people of Ruo Shui to mine Xijing for them.

Although the people of Ruo Shui were not afraid of Xijing’s radiation, perhaps due to spending most of their time in the underground mines, rarely exposed to sunlight, most newborns on Ruo Shui suffered from visual impairments.

Now, ten years have passed since Ruo Shui was invaded by the advanced civilizations.

The male lead, Lin Qingsong, is a native of Ruo Shui, while the female lead, Gu Ci, is from Proxima Centauri and happens to be the daughter of a high-ranking official from Proxima Centauri.

After Ruo Shui was invaded by the advanced civilizations, the people of Ruo Shui naturally refused to submit to humiliation. Countless underground resistance organizations were born. Although the resistance of the people of Ruo Shui was no match for the advanced civilizations, the ground of Ruo Shui was stained with blood. However, the residents of Ruo Shui never gave up their determination to drive the invaders out of their planet. Lin Qingsong, the male lead, was one of them.

Strangely enough, perhaps due to Ruo Shui’s proximity to Proxima Centauri, the people of Ruo Shui and Proxima Centauri resembled each other. The only difference was that Proxima Centauri’s people, relying on advanced technology for a long time, had their limbs degenerated, most of them born swollen and ugly, with disproportionately large pupils and extremely low fertility rates. On the other hand, the people of Ruo Shui were born with evenly slender limbs and could be considered beauties compared to the people of Proxima Centauri.

Because of this, the residents of Proxima Centauri, after discovering this similarity, engaged in genetic pairing with the people of Ruo Shui and found a 40% match. The people of Proxima Centauri then started to abduct the handsome men and beautiful women of Ruo Shui…

Surprisingly, with the aid of technology, some children were actually born from this endeavor!

The female lead, Gu Ci, was one such child.

Compared to her ugly Proxima Centauri father, Gu Ci’s appearance resembled her beautiful mother, who was often melancholic and tearful. Due to a spaceship accident, Gu Ci ended up stranded on Ruo Shui and met the male lead, Lin Qingsong. Initially, Lin Qingsong thought Gu Ci was a native of Ruo Shui and took good care of her, living together on the planet. As time passed, they gradually developed feelings for each other. However, after witnessing the tragic fate of her mother’s kin, Gu Ci’s heart started leaning towards the people of Ruo Shui, and she began to fight for the rights of Ruo Shui’s people.

Gu Ci and Lin Qingsong had a natural animosity between them. Their relationship went through stages of infatuation, hostility, reconciliation, and eventually a difficult journey of working together for the future of Ruo Shui. Finally, they were determined to become a couple.

Despite their vastly different backgrounds, the two of them couldn’t marry. For reasons unknown, whether moved by their love or perhaps completely giving up on their rebellious daughter, Gu Ci’s high-ranking father agreed to let her marry Lin Qingsong. He arranged their wedding at the Guardian Mansion on Ruo Shui.

The so-called “Guardians” were Ruo Shui people who surrendered to the advanced planets and, with the support of the advanced civilizations, became the rulers overseeing the mining of Xijing on Ruo Shui.

As the two were about to marry, seemingly fulfilling the Lord God’s set storyline, things naturally took a turn when Song Xu Yi arrived. On their wedding day, a massive explosion resounded from the sky, and a colossal energy bomb descended, reducing the Guardian Mansion to ashes in an instant. Everyone perished in the raging inferno…

The plot summary does not describe who was responsible for the attack.

Now, the Lord God has traversed time and space, and Song Xu Yi arrived fifteen years before the accident happened—the male and female leads in the plot summary are still kids of a similar age to Song Xu Yi at this time.

After accepting the world summary, Song Xu Yi also assimilated the memories of this world—

The body she now inhabits was that of an orphan whose parents died in a world of turmoil. However, probably due to the Lord God’s principle of having a high status, influence, and getting things done easily, the original owner of this body had a promising future.

After the death of her parents, the original owner was adopted by her foster father, Song Yi. Song Yi was without a wife or children, and the original owner became his sole heir. Although the current Song Yi is still a destitute man who would need to save money for three to five years just to afford a spaceship ticket to Proxima Centauri, the future Song Yi would soar to success, becoming the biggest Guardian of Proxima Centauri and enjoying all the wealth and honor. Later, as described in the plot, the wedding of the male and female leads was held at Song Yi’s mansion.

Afterward, the original owner became an incredibly talented robot developer in the future, even inventing a new type of machinery that could overcome radiation and free the people of Ruo Shui from mining.

After assimilating the memories of the body, Song Xu Yi opened her eyes and looked again at the letter written by Song Yi to the original owner. As she reminisced about the memories of the original owner, she pursed her lips with complex emotions:

Before departure, Song Yi earnestly taught the original owner to “always remember that you are a Ruo Shui person.” Despite everything, he spared no effort in sending the original owner abroad to learn new technologies. Would Song Yi, who sought riches and power, really become the greatest Guardian in the future?

Song Xu Yi narrowed her eyes.
