Earth's Greatest Magus

1962 Earth Under Attack

"We detected three life forms: a half-moon magus, crescent magus, and new moon," the report came through from the female magus after reading the ship's radar.

Within moments, it confirmed their primary target, Emery Ambrose, was present among them. More intriguingly, the Moon Base appeared to lack defensive barrier sets.

Upon receiving this data, the captains of the Thunder Leopards erupted into laughter. "Haha, we worried for nothing!" they exclaimed, reveling in the apparent vulnerability of their target.

Chieftain Gaizen, however, displayed a different reaction. Disappointment etched across his face as he realized the accuracy of the information he received for the job. The Moon Base had indeed not yet completed its construction, leaving it exposed. The grand magus pirate was ready to give the order to charge in, but the long-haired man standing beside him interjected,

"Chief, it's always best to stay cautious. Send one of your captains instead."

Trusting the advice of the long-haired magus, Chief Gaizen turned to the one-eyed captain,

"Garu, you can handle this yourself."

There was a slight hesitation, but the one-eyed captain, Garu, accepted the task and steered the ship towards the Moon Base. A mix of excitement and determination flashed across his face as he prepared to lead the charge against the seemingly defenseless Moon Base.

The ship's shield powered up as a precaution against any potential counterattack from the base. To Garu's surprise, none of the turrets activated, and without the defense barrier in place, they could safely enter the protective zone and hover above the base.

"Should I just start shooting and blast all these buildings right away?" Garu pondered, considering his options. As he mulled over the matter, a lone figure emerged from the base, standing near the hangar.

"That's him! Does he not know we are pirates!! Stupid low-realm idiots," Garu laughed, deciding to land the ship. He and his men disembarked, presenting an intimidating group of six magus and twenty saints, all fully armed.

"I am Garu of the Thunder Leopards crew. Surrender all your valuables and kneel!" he demanded, projecting an air of authority and dominance.

The young man identified as Emery surveyed the crews surrounding him and calmly said, "I am confused..." His response elicited laughter from Garu and his men. "There is no need to confuse you, fool!!! Have you never seen pirates before?" Garu mocked.

Emery responded nonchalantly, "No, you misunderstood. I mean... how can I give you my valuables by kneeling? Which one do you actually want me to do first?"

"Valuable first... Then kneel... wait... You!! YOU ARE MOCKING ME!!" Garu shouted in anger. In response, the massive one-eyed magus ordered his men to surround Emery, ready for a confrontation. However, Emery remained composed and calmly looked toward the sky, saying,

"Your friends are not joining?"

"Huh!! My crew alone is more than enough to fight you!" Garu retorted with confidence.

"That's unfortunate..." Emery remarked cryptically. As tension mounted, the one-eyed pirate captain shouted, "Shoot him!"

The pirates unleashed a barrage of laser from their guns. However, with a simple yet powerful [Aegis of Void] spell, Emery managed to easily stop all the incoming shots. Then, with a slight wave of his hand, he cast another spell, transforming the rocky ground beneath the pirates' feet into sinking sands. With panicked screams, they were all pulled down, unable to resist as the ground enveloped them.

"You!!! Bastard!! Kill him!!"

The pirate captain finally sent his six magus, each brandishing weapons and spells, to confront Emery simultaneously. In response, Emery calmly created multiple clones of himself, each engage the attackers while he stood confidently, facing the captain.

"Those men are not worthy to fight me..." Emery remarked calmly, his intention to challenge the captain was clear.

"Huh! Just a lower realm trash. You shall die today!" Garu sneered.

Garu, the captain and a full moon magus, unleashed his special technique—a remarkable metamorphosis that enlarged his body. His battle power surged as his skin turned a fiery red hue. In each of his hands, he wielded a flaming battle axe, emanating an threatening aura as he charged towards Emery. In response, Emery serenely retrieved his dark [Savage Blade], preparing to counter the powerful assault.

Two half-moon magus, four crescent moon magus, and their leader, the full moon captain, engaged in a fierce battle against Emery and his clones. The clash between their spells and weapons created a display of elemental displays and flashing lights. Minutes passed, and there was no clear winner. The Moon Base's rocky terrain bore the scars of the intense combat, as the combatants maneuvered and countered with precision.

The scene unfolded below, watched keenly by the other Thunder Leopard pirates hovering above in their ships. The chieftain, observing the battle, spoke with a hint of disappointment, "He is strong indeed, but far from my expectation. It seems all the news about him is nothing but exaggeration."

However, the long-haired man standing next to him chuckled knowingly, "Chief... don't you know that he is a halfblood? Not only has he not transformed, he is toying with Garu and his crew... for what purpose?"

Hearing this revelation, the chieftain's eyes narrowed in contemplation. With a decisive expression, the chieftain gave his order, "All, attack the base!!"

The two Thunder Leopard pirate ships, previously hovering in space, finally initiated their descent towards the Moon Base. The sight prompted Emery to divert his attention skyward, and a smile crept across his face. "Ahh, they are not as stupid as i think,"

Meanwhile, realizing that Emery was ignoring him, the once-

raging red-skinned giant, Garu, seethed with frustration. "Your stupidity will be the death of you!" he roared, summoning the full force of his power for a powerful flaming swing of his battle axe.

To the pirate surprise, Emery's power suddenly surging exponentially. With astounding speed and precision, Emery seized the flaming axe with one arm, his movements betraying an otherworldly grace. Garu's eyes widened as he sensed an overwhelming force emanating from his opponent.

"I have no time to play with you anymore," Emery declared.

Fear suddenly gripped the pirate's heart. "Wait... wait..." His instincts screamed at him to escape, yet he found himself unable to move.

Emery channeled his Khaos power into the blade and the weapon pulsating with an ominous energy. As he swung the blade, a luminous arc materialized. The atmosphere crackled with the anticipation of an impending strike. Emery executed a single decisive slash [Dao Edge].

The powerful slash cut through the giant's form, cleaving through his defenses with an unstoppable force, severing him in two. The flaming axe fell to the ground, extinguished. The pirate's lifeless halves collapsed, spilling the first blood onto the rocky surface of the Moon Base.
