Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 45: Pursue

"What are you watching?"

In the middle of the moon, tonight, the moon only shyly revealed half of its crescent moon teeth. A few floating clouds floated around it, causing the silver veil sprinkled on the ground to appear from time to time and flow along with the clouds. Alan was standing on the edge of a cliff that slanted out of the void. From this direction, he could borrow the moonlight to see the large lake not far away that was used as the arena.

Lucy, who was sitting beside him and had put on a new magazine, looked at Ellen with puzzlement in her eyes. The night breeze blew up a few strands of her hair, stretching out like golden sleeves in the wind.

"Look over there." Allen pointed to the west side of the lake. "The dangerous species have begun to leave, but they deliberately avoided that place."

"So what?"

"Ans and Lu Sen have already walked together." Alan said.

Lucy narrowed her eyes and looked at the place carefully. Under the moonlight, the lake is being refilled. The surrounding dangerous species were also retreating, but they naturally avoided the forest on the west side. Lucy nodded and said, "Looks like you're right. The Dangerous Seed only avoids one direction. In other words, the two of them left together."

Of course, if they left in two different directions, the dangerous species would avoid another direction. Alan sat down and said, "What do you think of Anse's previous performance?"

"You're more than capable." Lucy commented succinctly, "He's so agile that it's hard for Wayne to lock on to him."

"What about you?"

"If I go all out, I can still suppress him." Lucy shrugged her shoulders, her jade-green eyes filled with confidence.

Ellen nodded. "I was just thinking that maybe Anse didn't do his best in the previous battle. Otherwise, your battle with Wayne should end early."

'"So to speak …" Lucy recalled the scene of the previous battle. "Indeed, Ann had several chances to take down Wayne, but she always retreated at the critical moment. I thought he was cautious by nature, but now that you say that, he seems to have deliberately let Wayne go. What is the purpose of his doing this for?"

"To get Fatty to kill Mike." Alan shook his head and said, "In the end, it's just a matter of choice. We eliminated four people this time, leaving a few of us behind. You and I must be in the same team, so Ann can only choose one other player. Obviously, he gave up on Mike. From his point of view, it's a wise choice. Lucen is a bit tougher to deal with than Mike."

"Is it just difficult to deal with?" Lucy suddenly asked.

"Of course, it's just hard to deal with," Allen said, revealing a mouthful of snow-white teeth.

He patted Lucy on the shoulder and said, "Come on, we can't waste our time here."

"Why?"

"Chase after the two of them."

"What?" Lucy looked at Ellen in surprise, "I thought you would want to rest. After all, we have one day to ignore the dangerous species."

"That's right. You know that the time limit for nano-robots is 24 hours. In this time limit, we don't need to worry about being targeted by dangerous species. Is there a better time to chase after those two?"

"Then what's your plan?"

Ellen spread out his hands and said, "Track them down. After we find them, I'll kill Fatty with all my might. All you have to do is suppress Ans. When we're done with Fatty, we'll come back to deal with Ans."

"Just like that?"

"That's it! Let's go. If we dawdle any longer, we might not be able to keep up with them."

The two silhouettes quickly left the cliff, and the rocks under the moonlight were cold and miserable. This night would be very long.

Soon, Alan and Lucy returned to the lake. Walk along the bank of the lake to the west, pass through a sloping sandy slope, pass through a row of coconut trees and enter a dense forest. The light in the forest was a little dim, and Alan didn't dare to light up any light source for fear of attracting the attention of the two of them. He circled around before entering the forest, and after a moment, he found a pair of shallow footprints on the ground.

Judging from the size of the footprints, they should be fatty's. With the footprints, the follow-up would be very smooth. Alan had lived in the wilderness for many years, and he had also learned from the snow wolves how to catch prey, so he naturally had a set of tracking skills. So Lucy watched with curiosity as he sometimes touched the ground and occasionally sniffed by the bushes, bringing herself in.

At the same time, An Si and Allen, who were about a kilometer away from each other, stopped. They found a campsite, next to a few low peaks, with several caves eroded by the wind and rain. One of them is close to a meter deep and is very suitable for overnight use. Lu Sen went in first and occupied a dry place in the depths of the cave.

The fat man sat down and patted his stomach. "Do you have anything to eat? I'm hungry."

Lu Sen's figure sat down next to the mountain wall, almost occupying half of the cave. Ans was helpless and could only find a leeward seat to sit down. Hearing this, he smiled bitterly and said, "I was chased away by those steel-feathered warhawks to the point that my pants almost fell off. I originally had a bag of compressed biscuits, but it fell off halfway."

"Then what should we do?" Lu Sen rolled his eyes.

Ann looked at that sky and said, "let's make up our mind for the night and plan for tomorrow."

"Bullshit, how can you sleep with a hungry stomach? You, go to the forest and catch a few wild beasts or something, roast them first. I'll be in charge of lighting a fire." Lu Sen patted his stomach and said.

Ann narrowed her eyes and sneered, "You have to understand, I'm not Wayne."

"Nonsense, I know you're An Si."

"I mean, I'm not your subordinate, understand?" "We are now in a cooperative relationship," Anse stressed.

Lu Sen smiled nonchalantly and said, "So instead of letting you go hunting, I'm going to build a fire. Isn't this a division of labor?"

Ann finally knew that Fatty was a rogue, so he could be so shameless. He was obviously taking the easiest part to himself, so how could he be more efficient by cooperating with such a person? However, now was not the time to tear his face apart. Ans nodded, "Don't build too much fire. It's best to build it in the cave. Don't cause any unnecessary trouble …"

"Alright, I still don't know?" Lu Sen waved his fat hand impatiently.

An Si snorted coldly and drilled out of the cave. Lu Sen chuckled dryly and went outside to pick up dead branches to light a fire. Not long after Ans had drilled into the forest, two bright red rays of light shone from behind a bush. Alan pointed in Ans' direction, Lucy nodded and the cat quietly left. Alan remained motionless, his hand gently gripping Kuang Tu's ice-cold grip as he quietly watched Lu Sen slowly move in his direction.

A wolf's pounce didn't require many complicated methods. Often, life and death depended only on an instant. Alan was waiting for that moment to appear. He was quiet and his breathing was gentle. His body even fine-tuned itself as the moonlight passed to perfectly blend in with his surroundings. Lu Sen didn't notice anything, and was even happy to point at Dong An Si to satisfy his little vanity.

Lu Sen came from a butcher's family. He was the eldest son of the family. From a very young age, Fatty had to help his father, who was short-tempered, bad-tempered, and liked to drink bad wine. When he learned that he had been struck/would have a chance to participate in this year's Death Arena, Luson seemed to see God smiling at him.

He could finally leave the damn, dirty, pigsty-like room. There was no need for her father to pull her out of bed at three o'clock every morning, and she didn't need to be beaten up when her father was in a bad mood. All of this only needed to be able to live to the end.

Lu Sen knew what he wanted when he was in training camp, so he worked especially hard. He wasn't the first person to ignite the fire, but he was the only one who walked out of the training camp. Now, as long as he killed three more people, he would be able to live a paradise-like life.

After walking out of Yellowstone Park, Lu Sen's first thing was to beat up the man known as his father. Even kill him?

The fat man whistled happily and unknowingly picked up a bundle of withered branches. One of them was picked up near the bush where Alan was hiding. However, even though they were so close, Lu Sen did not notice that Death was hiding behind the bushes. When he turned around to expose his fat back to Allen's gaze, blowing a little tune from home.

Alan knew that the moment he was waiting for had arrived.

Lifting his saber, he leapt up, and the origin energy whistled!

In an instant, Allen's eyes were illuminated by the surging Origin Energy light. Kuang Tu trembled and buzzed. The lines on the blade were activated and lit up. When the pitch-black broadsword drew an arc behind Lu Sen, it was as if death was shining on that life-threatening crooked sickle. With a "chi" sound, an energy saber light shot out from the front, illuminating Lu Sen's face that was filled with shock when he turned around!

"Alan?" Fatty screamed.

Alan slashed down forcefully, and the origin vortexes chased after and collided with each other. Five consecutive vortexes collided, releasing an enormous force that pushed Wild Slaughter down like a mountain! The withered branches fell all over the ground. At the critical moment of life and death, Lu Sen sucked in his breath and exerted his strength. Convert all of your Origin Energy into a shield. When Berserk Slaughter slashed into the shield, it was as if he had slashed into a marsh. Ellen snorted and used all of his Origin Energy to push Kuang Tu forward.

Lu Sen's fat face turned pale, and an unnatural flush flushed past. In the end, his face turned ashen. The Origin Energy shield was sliced open like a bamboo, and Lu Sen shouted loudly. He condensed all the remaining Origin Energy in one punch and smashed it heavily into Alan's chest, deciding to fight to the death.

Allen's eyes were cold, and he did not retreat but instead advanced. After cutting through the Origin Energy Protector Tu, Berserk Tu took a turn, then provoked it again, pulling out another crescent moon. Yue Hua brushed past Lu Sen's neck, and at the same time, the fatty's heavy punch landed on Alan's chest. With a muffled rumble, the light armor on his chest immediately caved in and burst open. Alan spat out a ball of blood mist from his nose and mouth, and he raised his saber and flew down. Lu Sen continued to retreat, taking six steps back before stopping.

The fatty's eyes widened as he looked at Alan like a ghost. At this time, a red line appeared on the fat meat that was slapped between its necks. The fat meat suddenly split open on both sides and spat out a blood arrow. Lu Sen stretched out his hand to hold his neck, but halfway through, he was powerless to fall.

Lu Sen opened his eyes wide and didn't believe that he would stop here even if he died!
