Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 69: Under The Night

Digg stood on a bell tower. The three-story bell tower was already the tallest building in the town. He used his tactical telescope to look at the wilderness outside the town. Under the night vision function, the wilderness was covered in a green color. This color looked uncomfortable, but it allowed Digg to see clearly what was happening in the wilderness, for example, if there were those damned black spiders hidden behind a huge rock.

However, there wasn't. The wilderness outside the town was very calm. Digg shifted his gaze and adjusted his distance to the forest 10 kilometers away. The forest was in an irregular circular shape, and on the left was a low mountain range. This mountain range was used as a shield, and then it was conveniently a continuous mountain range. It was in the mountains that the black spiders burrowed out and caught Fullen off guard at first.

However, Andy never expected Digg to be so cautious. He was like a turtle hiding in its shell, unwilling to take risks. Even though Andy had purposely revealed a flaw, Digg still resisted letting it go. Otherwise, the war on both sides would have ended long ago.

Now, the black spiders were hiding in the woods. Fires could be clearly seen in the telescope. Digg put down the telescope and reached out to touch his beard, pondering what Andy was thinking.

Without any warning, a loud explosion suddenly sounded behind him. The shock wave of the explosion almost knocked Digg into the clock tower. He held the stone railing firmly and waited for the shock wave to pass before turning around. Digg's pupils constricted, and the town's flames behind him soared into the sky. A ball of fire rose up with thick smoke, illuminating the night sky in the town to the point that it was also a fiery red.

"What's going on?" Digg roared.

Gunshots had already been heard from the other side, and one could vaguely hear the slogan "Long live the Black Widow". Muffin ran over and shouted under the clock tower, "Head, it's those damn black spiders. They blew up our supplies warehouse!"

"What!" Digg's expression darkened.

Not only was there food stacked in the warehouse for several days in the small town, more importantly, there was also a batch of goods that hadn't been shipped back to the headquarters in time. Let Blood Hand know that Digg would have to peel off his skin even if he didn't die!

"Damn black spider." Digg was like an enraged lion, his hair exploding. He roared at Muffin below, "Gather all my brothers, I want to kill all those black spiders!"

Muffin laughed, "I've been waiting for your order for too long!"

The Black Widow set up a makeshift camp in the woods 10 kilometers away from Fullen Town. After several days of fighting, there were only 13 mercenaries left from the 20-odd men that the Black Widow had pulled over. After a long time, Andy had no choice but to retreat into the woods and rethink his strategy.

At this moment, near the camp, a bald woman was kicking a wooden stake with her long leg. This made the patrolling soldiers unable to restrain themselves from looking at the long leg, and looked up along the thigh, hoping to see something under the surprisingly short leather skirt.

"I'm bored to death!" Guna hatefully kicked again, venting the endless energy in her body.

Guna seemed to notice the soldier's line of sight. She raised her head and gently licked her lips with her red tongue. "Hey, do you want to have some fun?"

The soldier swallowed his saliva and lowered his head. "Miss Guna, I'm on duty. It's not convenient to leave."

"Who cares? Digger's iron turtle gave him a hundred guts and didn't dare to call at this time." Guna walked towards the woods outside the camp. "If you don't come, I'll find someone else."

The soldier looked to the left and right, but there was no one around. Finally, he could not help but follow in.

The two of them arrived in a forest not far from the camp. The soldier was panting heavily and was about to pounce on them. Guna punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground. He was ashamed and angry, just about to get up. Suddenly, Guna stepped on his shoulder.

"I always have the final say in this matter!" Guna lowered her head and kicked the soldier on the shoulder. "Then please me."

"Who is it!" Guna shouted softly.

The figure was shocked and fled in the opposite direction of the camp.

"Could it be from Fulun Town?" Guna thought it was an enemy scout.

The soldier was unwilling to give up. Guna was instantly enraged. She knocked her head heavily on the soldier's nose, causing his nose to bleed and he retreated repeatedly. Guna snorted and ignored him. She turned around and chased after the figure.

The Black Widow's camp was not far from the edge of the forest. Guna chased after them with all her might. Soon, the two of them had already run out of the dense forest. In the night, Guna could already see that it was a man. He ran like a leopard in the direction of Fulun Town. Guna sneered and began to speed up.

At the same time, two chasing figures appeared in one of the sights.

About 800 meters away from Guna and the others, on a low mountain peak, Marlene was lying on a rock. In front of her, a sniper rifle had been set up. Next to her was Adele, who was carrying a suitcase. She narrowed her eyes and said, "Look, the female spider has been lured out."

"I know." Marlene pushed the sniper rifle into the cartridge and adjusted her breathing. She aimed the sniper rifle at the path Guna was about to take.

When Guna herself crashed into the crosshairs of the sights, Marlene instantly pressed down the trigger.

Almost at the same time, Guna's entire body turned cold. She suddenly looked in the direction of Marlene's sniper attack. In the dim night, there was a flash of fire in the distance. Guna immediately screamed, her Origin Energy surging, quickly forming a shield. The woman breathed a sigh of relief when a sniper bullet continued to slow down as it passed through the shield and eventually deviated from its firing trajectory, only brushing past Guna's right shoulder.

What a close call! The opponent had actually arranged for a sniper. This was a special type of weapon that had never appeared in previous battles.

Guna immediately gave up the idea of continuing to chase after him. She wanted to return to the camp and notify Andy. However, at the end of Marlene's strike, Adele had already snorted. His finger entered a group of numbers on the password lock of the box. The silver-gray suitcase suddenly shook slightly, and then the box was disassembled and combined! Under Marlene's eyes, this ordinary suitcase was reassembled from a box into a silver-gray cannon under the movement of countless machines and gears.

There were dark black conductive lines on the cannon's body. This was actually a magical cannon!

In fact, Adele was in possession of the Pandora Series P-1 Concept Handgun, a newly developed magical weapon from a Mommy family's arsenal. Adele channeled her Origin Energy to activate the internal Magic Cube sequence. The markings on the cannon quickly lit up, and in the end, an orange fireball the size of a blue ball shot towards Guna!

Just as Guna was about to turn back, she suddenly stopped. Her eyes had already been illuminated by the fireball's light. She had just blocked a long-range sniper attack, and her Origin Energy consumption was intense. At this moment, another ball of Origin Energy fireball rushed over, leaving only fear in her eyes.

She let out a shrill scream, but it was soon drowned out by the accompanying explosion. The fireball exploded, forming a pillar of flame that shot into the sky. Along with a few rings of Origin Energy radiance, it spread out in a circular shape, followed by shockwaves and sputtering flames. In the distance, Adele's face was pale and her hands and feet trembled. The fireball almost sucked out all of her Origin Energy.

In the Black Widow Camp, Andy was looking at the electronic map of Fulun Town in the main tent. Suddenly, he heard an explosion and was stunned at the same time as Sam in the tent. The two of them hurriedly rushed out of the tent. When they arrived at the explosion site with the soldiers, they saw a charred ground that was more than ten meters in radius. In the middle of the charred ground, Guna's black corpse was lying on the ground.

A wooden plank was stabbed into the ground and carved with a knife, "This is the price of your attack on Fullen! Spiders!" A line of words. Andy shouted and kicked the wooden plank away. His eyes were bloodshot as he said, "Damn Digger, I will make you look good! I swear!"

He wasn't that close to Guna, but Guna was one of his important subordinates. This was undoubtedly a kind of provocation and a kind of humiliation, so Andy naturally couldn't let it go.

But at this moment, a light flashed in the distance. Sam immediately picked up his binoculars and looked in the direction of the light source. He immediately shouted, "Not good, it's a convoy! They're coming from Fullen Town's convoy!"

"Damn it!" Andy waved to the people behind him, "Back, back into the woods. We can't beat Digger and the others here."

At first, Guna was killed, but now Digg suddenly changed his cautious style and killed her at this time. Andy suddenly regretted accepting the task. It seemed to be much more difficult than he had expected.
