Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 97: Feel Like Old Friends at the First Meeting

Adele's beautiful eyes lit up.

Allen's words were a brilliant counterattack. It was clear that if Leon represented himself, then he was not afraid of a battle. But if Leon represented a family, then Alan would admit defeat. Not only was it not ugly, he also implied that the Leon family was suppressing people.

In this way, if Leon still wanted to fight, he could only choose the former. Many of the guests present were naturally witnesses. If Leon were to take revenge on Beth Cord by writing about it one day, it would only be looked down upon and would deal a considerable blow to his own prestige.

Adele looked at Ellen and looked at him as if she had met him for the first time. Who would have thought that Allen would force Leon to a disadvantage with just a single sentence?

Leon could no longer laugh. The smile on his face gradually subsided. He nodded and said, "If Mr. Allen is willing to fight, Leon will naturally represent himself. He has nothing to do with the family. To be honest, it is only now that Leon knows why Marshal Windsor Bellow has taken a fancy to you."

His last remark was somewhat irrelevant, but it showed that Leon finally saw Alan as a serious opponent. This alone was enough to impress Alan.

"Since you've already said so, if I refuse, it won't be a loss of face for the host." Alan said calmly.

Leon nodded. "How about Mr. Allen on stage?"

Alan whispered to Adele, "This battle is not for you." Then, he stepped onto the stage proudly and confronted Leon.

Adele's delicate body trembled again, and she looked at Alan on the stage, knowing that this person had left an indelible mark on her heart. Whether she was an enemy or a friend in the future, she would never forget Alan.

"Tonight was originally a banquet. It would be too damaging if we danced with sabers and guns. How about this, let's play with our fists and kicks." Leon took off his coat and naturally had a bodyguard to take it off for him. He moved a little before saying, "Let's limit ourselves to one minute. Whoever forces the stage first will lose. How about it?"

"This can't be better." Alan also took off his coat, folded it and placed it on the edge of the stage before looking at Leon.

"Can we begin now?" Leon asked with a chuckle.

Ellen shrugged and said, "Anytime."

"Then I won't stand on ceremony!" Leon sat down and started to speak. As soon as he finished speaking, his entire body was already gliding towards Alan.

A punch!

At the tip of the fist, a visible ripple of Origin Energy rotated in a spiral shape and shot toward Allen's chest like a dragon. If he was hit, a bloody hole would appear in Ellen's chest. It was also a jab punch, which was exceptionally powerful in Leon's hands. What was even more rare was that he had indeed defined Origin Energy at level 10, and did not use any imprints or abilities.

This was the true ability of a disciple from a wealthy family!

Seeing that Alan was about to be hit, everyone's eyes suddenly blurred. Allen used both spinning and sliding footwork. First, he dodged a few steps horizontally, then he suddenly turned around and rushed back, smashing his elbow towards Leon's waist. Leon's eyes shone brightly as his Origin Energy surged. He bent his left hand horizontally and similarly struck it with an elbow.

The two elbows collided and a muffled sound of Origin Energy colliding with each other rang out. A row of light bulbs on the edge of the stage exploded at the same time. The scattered debris caused the surrounding audience to exclaim and retreat. On the grandstand, the two of them had already separated.

Leon took a deep breath and said, "It's been a long time since I've fought someone like tonight."

"Of course. After all, other people won't attack with all their might like me." Alan said with a smile.

"You're right," laughed Leon. "Now I'm starting to like you a little, even if you have the name of Adele's lover. Come again."

"I'm still afraid of you?"

The two of them suddenly collided again. This was a real collision! The intense collision caused the two of them to take a few steps back at the same time. They smiled at each other and rubbed their bodies again. This was another scene. Both Leon and Allen used desperate moves to fight close to each other. The two of them seemed to be able to turn their entire bodies into weapons, shoulders, elbows, knees, and even foreheads. Under the protection of Origin Energy, they all turned into weapons and attacked the opponent like crazy.

Under the intense offensive, the sounds of Origin Energy and body colliding endlessly caused the audience below the stage to be both shocked and excited!

The two of them staggered backwards as if they were drunk. Alan quickly recovered and locked onto Leon. He substituted his hand for his saber and condensed his Origin Energy into the tip of his palm, cutting an arc-shaped ripple towards Leon's shoulder. Leon hurriedly sucked his stomach and slid back, avoiding a single blow before he could counterattack. However, the crescent moon rose again and raised his chin.

The Crescent Moon Slash was used by Alan with his saber, but it was not inferior to the saber in his hand. Lunar arcs overlapped, and for a moment, Leon could only retreat. When he slashed out with the 23rd blade, Alan's offensive froze, but he had reached the limit of the Crescent Moon Slash. Leon's eyesight was also ruthless, and he immediately noticed the subtle changes in Allen's offensive. With a loud shout, another ferocious punch rushed over, smashing into the flaw in Allen's offensive.

Leon wanted to force Alan away, but he didn't expect Alan to retreat. He sold his chest to Leon, but stabbed a hand knife into his opponent's lower abdomen.

This was a method that could injure both of them!

The audience on the stage cried out in alarm, and Leon's bodyguards' expressions also changed. They immediately pounced towards the stage.

Leon's Thousand Gold Physique would not die together with Alan. Alan's expression changed and he retreated. He laughed heartily, withdrew his saber, and leaned forward to chase after Leon with all his might. This collision knocked Leon back, and he was about to step out of the edge of the stage. Leon suddenly felt his palm tighten and was caught by Alan. Alan pulled him back and said, "It's time. Let's call it a draw."

At this time, Leon's bodyguards had already pounced on the stage. Everyone gathered their momentum, waiting for Leon's order to capture Alan. Just the saber he had intentionally killed Leon was enough for the Williams to question Beth Cord.

Leon's face was calm as he waved his hand to the bodyguard and asked, "Is that knife you used just now accurate enough for me to refuse to fight with my life?"

"Don't you know the answer yourself?" Alan asked in the blink of an eye.

A smile finally appeared on Leon's face. He shook his head and said, "Looks like you must have underestimated me."

'"Absolutely not. In fact, I would have done the same. It depends on the situation. If I were to risk my life, I would definitely be an idiot." Allen said sternly.

Leon said cheerfully, "Well said."

"You gave me a beautiful step," he whispered. "I'll remember this favor."

Then he patted Ellen on the shoulder and said, "As you can see, the two of us ended in a draw tonight, but it would be my loss. From now on, I will not have any more ideas about Adele. If anyone wants to do the same, they will have to get past me first."

His half-joking, half-serious words won the laughter of the whole hall. Ellen shook his head and whispered, "You're getting a bargain and being a good boy."

Leon admitted defeat with a draw. Not only would he not be underestimated, he felt that he was very graceful. He put his arm around Ellen's shoulder and said, "I'm taking over your love rival. It's fine if you don't thank me, kid, and you're mocking me. Don't tell me you don't know, there are plenty of people here who are interested in Adele. Now I can guarantee that they can only give up obediently. They can't afford to offend me because of my family's great career."

Alan was so angry and funny that he could only say, "Dude."

"Thank you for the compliment."

To be honest, Leon was not annoying. Although he was from a wealthy family, he spoke and acted very gracefully. As for the arrogance in his previous words, it was almost a common fault of the nobles. After all, he was not perfect, not to mention that Leon was still young. Being impulsive at a young age, it was normal to speak with disdain in the face of a love rival. He and Alan knew each other well, but the key was that Leon's circle could fight him without any scruples, almost dating back to his childhood.

This made Leon feel very excited. It also made him feel as if he had returned to the innocent era of fighting and playfulness. Therefore, he felt as if he had met Allen at first sight.

After everyone laughed, a strange voice sounded, "Leon, your skin is getting thicker and thicker. You almost fell off the stage just now. If it weren't for this Bescot boy, you would still want to end up with a draw? You obviously lost, but you still pretended to admit defeat generously? Ha, so this is how the Williams taught your children?"

Leon's expression sank. The crowd split up. A pale, eyeliner-like youth was holding a glass of wine and signaling for Leon to drink. '"So it's Diego. Why do I remember that you're not on the invitation list?" Leon smiled instead of getting angry when he saw him.

'"Don't mind, I was just passing by. I heard that Young Master Leon was holding a banquet here tonight and was shameless enough to drink. I didn't expect to see an interesting scene. I can only say that Young Master Leon's performance was wonderful." The demonic youth put down his wine cup and clapped his hands. However, the applause was as ear-piercing as it was ear-piercing.

Leon let go of Alan and whispered, "Excuse me, I have to take good care of this dead demon."

He gritted his teeth, but the smile on his face did not diminish. He jumped off the stage and said to the others, "Everyone, do as you please."

Then he said to the young man, "Diego, are you going to stay here for a drink, or are you going to play cards with me in the box?"

"Of course I'm going to the box. Young Master Leon wants to deliberately lose to me at cards so that I can keep my mouth shut, right? Quickly lead the way."

"Follow me." Leon angrily took the uninvited guest away.

Alan also jumped off the stage, and Adele walked over and said, "That's Diego of the Grant Family, a narcissist, arrogant, annoying fellow! Oh, he's also a student of Magic Cube Sequence Master Lawrence."

Alan nodded and said indifferently, "I'm tired. I have class tomorrow. I'll be leaving first."

"The Throne Master of the Silver G. o.d, this is reputation! Reputation! O (ć _ ć) O-ha!"
