Chapter 46 Ultimate Move

TL: Kyous

“Since Black Death Society’s forces are located in the west, once our operation this time succeeds, won’t we be able to wipe off their important figures in one go? But using Odin as bait, his life may be in danger.” The man spoke in a slow tone, explaining all possible circumstances to Father.

In fact, Father already found someone in the west to deliberately leak the news, discussing this matter at Black Death Society’s regular gathering spots. He requested two people to inquire others whether or not were they aware of the news of a new mayor in that town

If the other party answered no, then they would loudly describe that a fresh graduate from Blue Vine University named Odin was becoming the mayor.

Of course, all of this was for the Black Death Society’s members who were regularly hanging around. Judging from the current speed, the Black Death Society’s higher-ups should already know Odin was becoming the mayor of that town.

“Odin is nothing but a civilian. It is his misfortune to be targeted by those lunatics. Besides, it’s an honor for him to attract the Black Death Society out for us.” Father said with a smile.

If Odin was to hear Father’s statement right now, he certainly would rush forward and slap this shameless Father. How dare Father to say something like it was his honor?

However, the man next to Father didn’t reveal any confusion and nodded his head in seriousness, “Father is absolutely correct.”

“Alright then, you can leave if there’s nothing else. I’m slightly tired, let me rest for a while.” Facing his back at the man, Father waved his hand indicating the man to leave.

“Then, I’ll excuse myself.” The man slowly bowed before leaving.

“Hahahahahaha… What a pleasant day.” A satisfied smile appeared on Father’s face. Evidently, it had been a while since he was this happy as he lazily stretched his waist and headed into the depths of the church.

……

On the other hand, Odin had finished packing his stuff and preparing to leave for the western town.

But before departing, he constantly felt some matters were rather unsafe. This time, his journey to the western town certainly was filled with dangers. Although his prowess had greatly increased, ultimately, he still couldn’t fathom the level of his enemies’ prowess.

It’s always better to be safe than sorry. It wouldn’t cause him any loss.

Odin recalled when he was still in Detroit Combat Club, the siblings once told him their combat techniques had an ultimate move. Anyone who was struck by this move would bleed to death from seven orifices within two breaths.

It just so happened that after Chris’s death, the siblings had sent him a letter, wishing Odin to have a trip to Detroit Combat Club. They probably were aware that they misunderstood Odin and wanted to apologize to him.

He intended to go when he received the letter. But due to being monitored by both the Black Death Society and the church, he didn’t have the opportunity to visit the club.

Coincidentally, he had graduated and there was still some time before his departure to the western town. He could visit the siblings at the club and learn their combat techniques’ final move, the ultimate move.

As Carlot was opening the club’s door, he was stunned to see Odin standing outside the club. He hurriedly invited Odin to the place where the siblings regularly practiced.

In the room, Carna and Cardory were there as well. They were stunned too when they saw Odin. Seeing the duo practicing combat techniques in the middle of the arena, Odin knew that their injuries were almost healed.

“Um…” As Odin opened his mouth, he found out he was slightly embarrassed and unsure what to say.

“It’s alright, it’s us siblings who should apologize.” Carlot pulled a chair over for Odin to sit. His face carried a regretful expression and was even more embarrassed than Odin’s.

“It was us who didn’t understand the situation and fell into Silver Snake’s scheme. We thought you betrayed us and attacked you. It was us being too reckless. When we learned about Chris’s death, we finally realized we misunderstood you. Because we three were still bedridden, we couldn’t pay you a visit personally. Seeing you didn’t come to the club, we thought you didn’t want to have any contact with us anymore, so we didn’t bother you anymore.” Cardory explained while twirling her index fingers.

“No, no, I was too impulsive too. If I had explained myself properly, things wouldn’t escalate to that point. In fact, I intended to pay a visit when I received the letter, but because of the matter of Chris’s death, I was delayed.” Odin smiled while scratching his head.

“Anyway, we want to say sorry to you. Besides, if there’s anything you need help with, please tell us. Treat it as compensation for the Life Emblem we promised you.” Cardory smiled politely as her gaze firmly landed on Odin.

“Speaking of help, there is a thing. I’m going to work in the western town soon, but I’m somewhat afraid of encountering some dangers. So, the reason I came here today is to learn the ultimate move you previously mentioned from you.” Mentioning the matter of western town, Odin’s expression became solemn as he stared at the siblings with a frown.

Carlot briefly glanced at Cardory before nodding his head after hesitating for two seconds.

“Only I know the ultimate move.” Cardory trudged over to Odin. “But my injuries haven’t made a complete recovery and this ultimate move consumes too much stamina. I can only demonstrate it to you once. It depends on you whether or not you can learn it.”

Odin nodded, hinting he had no problem with it, causing Cardory to be at ease.

In his heart, Odin knew Cardory didn’t want him to die during that fight. Therefore, she didn’t even use the ultimate move even for once. Even after drinking the potion, she only utilized normal combat techniques to fight him.

Cardory found a wooden dummy used for training. Fiercely rushing forward, both of her hands locked the dummy’s neck. With a ruthless backward pull and releasing her hands, her legs were constantly striking nine areas on the dummy’s lower part. After one minute, a crack suddenly appeared in the dummy’s center and it shattered into pieces.

Some of the pieces nearly injured Odin and he immediately retreated a few steps. He had memorized Cardory’s action just now and replicated her action again. He realized that this ultimate move wasn’t as easy as it appeared. From the step of the chokehold, it was already a deadly move.
