CHAPTER 03

Come With Us

Ji Mian woke up again, a day later.

The half-hidden window was covered with the lingering light of the setting sun, the house was dimly lit, and there was no figure of Chu Shiye.

The floor next to the bed was piled with light mattresses and blankets, which should have been the bunk bed that Chu Shiye had occupied here last night.

Ji Mian’s gaze fell on the simple floor bed, his physical condition was still very bad. After staring at him for a long time, dizziness hit him, so he had to slightly close his eyes.

His communication bracelet was broken long ago. Even though his account is still there, it still has a lot of balance on it, but now he can’t log into his account.

Once logged into the account, Ji’s family and his attackers would know he was still alive.

Ji Mian slightly raised his left hand; he was still wearing the clothes he had when he hit the planet, and Chu Shiye did not take any of his personal belongings.

However, now there was nothing left in his body.

When Chu Shiye returned, the sun was setting in the West. He pushed open the door, and the last of the evening light spilled over his handsome face and merged with the thick darkness from the depths of his dark brown eyes.

“I went to where I found you,” seeing Ji Mian’s eyes, Chu Shiye took the bag, “there are still a lot of pieces there.”

At the end of the bed was a work table with some small mechanical ornaments of a unique shape that Ji Mian had never seen before. Chu Shiye walked over and dumped the parts in the bag on the workbench.

Ji Mian supported his upper body and slowly sat up. Chu Shiye quickly came to the side of the bed, and without saying a word, he squatted down.

Ji Mian lowered his head, Chu Shiye tilted his head and looked at him, and after a few seconds he spoke: “Sorry.”

Ji Mian: “Hmm?”

Chu Shiye: “The porridge I cooked, it’s hard to eat, right?”

He probably realized this for the first time in his life; although there was no expression on his face, his tone was a little frustrated.

Ji Mian: “It’s okay; it’s not your problem; it’s mine.”

Not waiting for Chu Shiye to say anything, he spread his palm again: “This is for you, as a thank-you gift from me.”

His hand puts on a delicate cufflink, inlaid with rubies, which in the dim light also shines and is worth a lot of money.

Chu Shiye: “I don’t want it.”

“Why?” Ji Mian said, “If you don’t think it’s worth enough—”

“No, I know it’s expensive,” Chu Shiye said, “but it’s yours.”

Ji Mian: “But, you saved me.”

Chu Shiye: “I didn’t save you for these things.”

He pressed Ji Mian’s five fingers together and pushed his hand back into the blanket, covering the corner.

Ji Mian: “…”

Ji Mian pondered slightly: “Then, can you help me again?”

Chu Shiye listened quietly.

Ji Mian’s fingertips stuck out from under the quilt with great difficulty and he squeezed the cufflinks: “Help me sell it; I don’t need it anymore.”

Since Chu Shiye didn’t want to take it, he could give it to him in a different way.

Chu Shiye thought about it and said, “Such a precious thing is not easy to come by in this place.”

“It doesn’t matter; how much will it cost?” Ji Mian said, “I must always live after that.”

This time Chu Shiye didn’t resist anymore and picked up the cufflink. “I’ll keep an eye out for a good buyer for you.”

Ji Mian smiled slightly, thinking: So it’s time for his savior to ask some questions too.

His origins were unknown, and by rushing out such a thing, Chu Shiye would doubt his identity.

Time passed in silence; no one spoke.

Ji Mian: You didn’t ask? Then it was up to me to say something.

He was ready to say the lies he had just woven: “Actually, I—”

Chu Shiye: “It’s fine; it goes without saying.”

Ji Mian: “Hmm?”

Chu Shiye: “It doesn’t matter who you are; the most important thing now is to recover from your injuries.”

Ji Mian: “…”

Ji Mian looked at Chu Shiye again.

Chu Shiye’s gaze remained unchanged. He was just silently looking at him, with a pair of dark brown eyes devoid of emotion, calm like a cliff that had not weathered.

Ji Mian no longer spoke.

How can there be such a person?

However, he flashed Chu Shiye a sincere smile: “Thank you, you really are a good person.”

Chu Shiye’s expression was strange for a moment.

Ji Mian: “I am an Omega, how about you?”

Chu Shiye: “Alpha.”

Previously when Ji Mian was unconscious and bleeding, he had smelled the pheromones in this person’s blood and guessed that he was an Omega.

Do all Omega pheromones smell good? Or is this person the only special case?

Of course, Chu Shiye did not mean to ask this question.

Ji Mian: “I forgot to ask before, what is this place?”

Chu Shiye: “Seventh Star System, planet E-13.”

Ji Mian said it in his heart, and he guessed right.

He has traveled a long distance from the first to the most distant and backward of the seven systems.

The Seventh Star System is mostly a small planet with a harsh living environment, and there is no shortage of lonely stars.

As for planet E-13, this kind of planet with a simple code name is only slightly better than an uninhabited star. The surface of the planet is mostly uninhabitable land. Generally, it only has a few tens of thousands of people.

If he deliberately buried his name, the people of the Star Capital might not find him for the rest of his life.

But he couldn’t stay here forever.

Ji Mian looked up: “Is there an Interstellar port here?”

Chu Shiye: “Yes, but we don’t have plane here that go to other planets. There are foreign merchant plane that pass through the port every three months, and by paying some money, you can board their plane.”

“The merchant plane just came the day before yesterday, and the next time they come, it will be three months later.”

Three months is not too long or too short.

Ji Mian had a plan in mind: “Thank you.”

When he finished, he added: “In a few days, I’ll be out looking for a house; I won’t keep bothering you.”

Chu Shiye looked at him and returned a “hmm” after a second. Then he got up: “I will go and make some medicine for you.”

Ji Mian whispered behind him, “That porridge… No need; I’m not hungry for now.”

Chu Shiye’s back felt beaten, and he walked quickly.

A small light was lit inside the house at night, while the world outside was completely dark.

The first thing you need to do is go to the bedside with the boiled medicine and gently call to wake up the tired Ji Mian.

Ji Mian’s slender eyelashes lifted slightly, and the tiredness under her eyes had not disappeared.

“Take the medicine before going to bed,” Chu Shiye said, “that would be better.”

Ji Mian lightly pressed the corner of his forehead, and only after a few seconds did he regain his clarity. He got up, thanked him, and took a bowl of medicine.

The medicine had been refrigerated for some time and was just the right temperature. Ji Mian lowered his head and drank everything at once.

Its bitter taste almost instantly removes drowsiness.

As Chu Shiye spread the bed on the floor, Ji Mian said, “Are you going to hit the floor again today?”

Chu Shiye nodded his head.

Ji Mian lifted the quilt and said: “Move over.”

Chu Shiye pressed the corner of the quilt and shook her head: “Get some rest.”

Ji Mian: “I’m fine.”

“I’m fine too,” Chu Shiye said. “My body is much better than yours; there’s no need.”

“Then…” Ji Mian thought for a while, “or with me? There’s still some empty space here.”

He said this while making little space on the bed.

A trace of surprise flashed under Chu Shiye’s eyes. “I am an Alpha.”

Although he had never met an Omega before, he had heard that some Omegas were extremely repugnant to Alphas and disliked physical contact with them.

Ji Mian: “Oh, it’s okay, I can fight.”

Chu Shiye: “??”

Ji Mian: “It’s okay, I know you’re a good person.”

Chu Shiye paused, pulled up the blanket, and covered Ji Mian’s waist.

Ji Mian still wanted to say something, but the side effects of the medicine appeared, his eyelids suddenly became a little heavy, and he fell asleep again.

Chu Shiye: “Go to sleep.”

He saw Ji Mian asleep, and instead of lying down by himself, he sat down at the desk at the end of the bed, put on his glasses under the dim light of the desk, and started his work for the night.

Two days later in the morning, a voice broke the silence of the house. Ji Mian opened his eyes and his temples felt like they were being pricked by needles.

The door of the house slammed loudly, a shadow blocked the light at the door, and the sound of chaotic footsteps along with aggressive screams came in.

“Chu Shiye, you brat—”

The sound stopped suddenly, and the eyes of these intruders coincidentally fixed on one place.

The young man, who had put his coat on the bed in the room, turned to them without saying a word.

Although his face was pale, his luscious eyebrows still stood out in the dimly lit room, like dusty gems that didn’t hide their brilliance.

The intruder leader’s eyes twitched.

It’s amazing.

As expected of the beautiful Omega.

Ji Mian’s eyes swept across these different looking intruders, and his eyes didn’t make the slightest ripple.

The main business of the company is to provide a wide range of products and services to its customers.

These people didn’t look like guests to Chu Shiye, but more like enemies.

The first intruder quickly lost his temper and opened his mouth first.

“Are you Omega?”

Ji Mian’s tone was flat: “No, I’m a Beta.”

Head intruder: “Is that so?”

With a view like that, being a Beta is even a little unfortunate. After all, there had never been an Omega on this shitty planet.

But who knows whether what he said was true or not? And with this face alone, it must also be able to get favor from God.

The intruder rubbed his chin, his cloudy eyes narrowed, and he said, “Are you Chu Shiye’s concubine?”

Without waiting for Ji Mian to answer, he immediately spat out the second sentence, “Come with us.”

He was very confident and had no intention of finding out Ji Mian’s identity, apparently convinced that no matter who the other party was, he could take this person away today.

Ji Mian’s head tilted slightly and he replied: “Why?”

The leader of the intruders smiled: “He is evil, very evil. But you don’t have to worry. Go with uncle; we will protect you.”

The beautiful Omega and Beta were always stupid and brainless, as weak as ants, and could be crushed to death with a gentle squeeze.

Thus, as long as he casually spouted fake words for fun, this Beta would definitely be intimidated and obediently go with them.

The leader of the intruders thought so and was not surprised to see the beauty in front of him with slightly widened eyes and a frightened look.

“Really? But, he doesn’t look like a bad person…”

Even the sound of fear is so good, the intruder thought to himself, that the master will definitely pity him.

The smile on his face wrinkled even more: “Bad people are always good at disguising themselves, look at us, we are really good people.”

“Don’t you believe us? There are so many of us, are we going to lie and trick you?”

Under the intruders’ unsuspecting eyes, the beautiful Beta thought for a moment very seriously and nodded gently: “Alright, you all seem to be good people, very good people.”

Then he raised his eyebrows and gave the intruders a simple, innocent and very sweet smile: “Well, I’ll go with you guys.”
