Chapter 3 – The Imprisoned Young Lady (2)

Zhong Han finished setting the meal and turned around. A pair of pitch black eyes stared straight at Yun Fanfan. There was seemingly a vortex within it, enough to suck people inside.

“I asked you to come over and eat.”

Yun Fanfan moved.

She reckoned that if she continued to not move, the other party would frankly pick up that knife and directly stab it into her body.

To be honest, she still didn’t want to die yet.

Especially since she had just gotten used to this new body.

After she had walked over, Zhong Han motioned for her to sit on the bed.

He handed her the bowl and chopsticks, and after Yun Fanfan took it, she began to eat slowly.

Zhong Han’s expressionless face finally revealed a satisfied expression.

He served two bowls of rice, but he showed no signs of eating. Instead, he moved a stool over and sat down opposite to Yun Fanfan. His legs were stretched out and crossed over one another as he casually leaned back against the chair.

After a while, he took the knife into his hand.

The sharp tip of the knife seemed to carry a chill along with it. Zhong Han did not seem to be afraid of being cut by the knife in the slightest. Instead, he took the knife in his hand and played with it carefully. That knife continuously flipped between his fingers, drawing out a few streaks of shadows but his fingers were never cut.

Having such a familiar technique, Zhong Han must have played with it like this often.

As the system looked on, it felt like it was getting dizzy. The host was not scared but it got scared first. It stuttered to Yun Fanfan, “Ho…Host, I will give Zhong Fan’s specific profile information to you first.”

Immediately, many things appeared within her mind.

When Zhong Han was four years old, his mother died of congenital heart disease. Originally, intending to take better care of Zhong Han, Father Zhong married another woman. That woman was called Fan Caiyi, who was also Zhong Han’s stepmother.

Fan Caiyi looked very attractive and had great intellect. In less than half a year, she became pregnant. Nine months later, she successfully gave birth to a healthy boy. Father Zhong was very happy. His original intention for Cai Yi’s to just take care of Zhong Han quietly changed.

Although Fan Caiyi’s family had financial difficulties, every time he took her out, with just her appearances and her eloquent lips, she would be able to help him nab some business deals. Gradually, Father Zhong fell in love with this woman and anyone associated with her. He naturally became more attentive to the child she gave birth to.

However, Fan Caiyi was not satisfied.

Because Zhong Han’s grandfather never saw her in good light. What she wanted was for the entire Zhong family to wholeheartedly accept them, both mother and son. Only the both of them, mother and son.

She began to let Father Zhong take them out on trips intentionally or unintentionally. Zhong Yan was often left behind at home. Having lost his mother, his personality became more and more depressing. He didn’t like to talk so Father Zhong naturally also didn’t want to communicate with him. He placed all his energy on his lively younger son.

He was just like a person that was forgotten by everyone.

When he was eight years old, he was abducted.

During the days while he was abducted, he had eaten the food that the kidnappers had thrown onto the ground to deliberately humiliate him, amusing them like a dog would. He thought that they just wanted money and that his father would come save him soon.

Three days. A full three days. No one had passed by. There was no news whatsoever.

His world became pitch dark. Just when he was almost unable to bear it any longer, he heard the drunken words from drunk kidnappers. Turns out, they didn’t want money. They were just ordered by someone to kidnap him and then kill him was all.

The one that wanted to kill him was his stepmother, Fan Caiyi.

A burst of strength suddenly surged up in Zhong Han’s small body. He stumbled towards them and used the knife, which they had planned to use to kill him, to mete out their punishment.
