Fabian leaned on the wall before he took a quick turn on the right path with his weapon pointed forward. There was no one in sight and all he could see were the overturned tables, chairs, and some shattered glass on the ground. Just as he was about to say that everything was clear, he suddenly noticed a head sticking out behind the overturned table at the left corner of the bar. "Don't move! Slowly put your hands behind your head!" He shouted while giving a signal to his subordinates to surround the person.

"I'm not one of them! I'm just an employee of this bar!" The person shouted in response.

Fabian frowned upon hearing the man's words. The guy was too calm and there wasn't even a trace of nervousness in his voice. This wasn't something that a normal civilian could do. "Relax. Just do as I say and we will escort you out of the building." Fabian said in a much lighter tone.

"Alright." The person revealed his head. He then slowly raised his hands.

"Sir, he is holding a grenade!" A police officer shouted in an alarmed tone.

"Everyone get out of the building! This is a trap!" At this moment, Fabian finally realized that the tipoff was just a trap. He quickly grabbed the stunned newbie and dragged him out of the building.

"Hahaha! Die you fools!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The police officers fired at the person, but the guy managed to throw the grenade before he was shot to death.

BOOOM!

A violent explosion echoed as the grenade exploded. Debris flew in all directions and flames covered the bar and quickly spread to the entire building!

Luckily, Fabian and the other police officers managed to escape the building on time. George and the other officers who were at the main hall also came out of the building with them.

They stared at the burning building with lingering fear. If they had been one step slower, they would have died in the explosion.

Fabian looked at his subordinates and heaved a sigh of relief after seeing that everyone was safe. "Call the fire department. Tell the civilians who live nearby to evacuate temporarily." He commanded in a serious voice.

"Yes, Sir!" Everyone answered in unison before they left. The only one that stayed was George.

"Sir, are those people Leandro's men?" George asked while leaning on the police car.

Fabian nodded his head. "Yes, it's them. I just don't know why there are only two of them. Most of the time, there would be twenty or more of them together. This matter has already gotten out of hand. It looks like the military will be involved soon."

Once news about the suicide bomber was spread, it will cause mass panic in Taguig and even in the whole of Maharlika. To ensure the citizens' safety, the government would have to mobilize the military.

Meanwhile, on the rooftop of the building opposite the burning bar, Khalon pressed on his earpiece as he reported. "Boss, I have already eliminated the threat. Fabian's life is no longer in danger."

Behind Khalon were the corpses of more than twenty people who were armed with semi-automatic submachine guns and pistols. All of them had bullet holes in their foreheads and they all died with just one shot!

"Did he notice you?" Arlan asked.

"No. These small fries are nothing." Khalon replied calmly.

"Alright. Just give them some clues before leaving. We can let them take the credit for everything."

"Yes, boss!" Khalon replied. He covered his face with a face mask and put on a pair of glasses. He also put on a cap before he got down the stairs.

After going down the building, Khalon approached Fabian and George who were near the police cars.

"Why are you here? Civilians are not allowed to come close to a crime scene. Please move back." Fabian frowned when he saw Khalon. The guy was so tall and he looked incredibly suspicious. He even unconsciously put his hand on the handle of his pistol.

"Sir, I saw some suspicious people going to the rooftop of that building. They have guns with them." Khalon said before walking away.

"Huh? Wait!" Fabian was stunned by the report. He called out to Khalon, but he had already run far away.

Wewoowweeeooooah!

The wailing sound of the fire trucks and police cars' sirens could be heard and it drowned Fabian's voice. He wanted to chase after Khalon, but he had to be here to report the situation to them. After all, George was still injured and he needed to receive immediate treatment. He couldn't leave him alone given the circumstances. "Dammit!"

The firemen quickly grabbed their fire hoses and aimed the nozzle at the burning building.

"Sir, what happened here? We received a report that there was a huge explosion here. Can you tell us what's going on?" The captain of the police officers who just arrived came to ask Fabian about the situation.

Fabian had no choice but to inform them about what happened. He told them about the suicide bomber and also what the 'tall guy' has told him.

An hour later, inside the Lake View Villa, Khalon arrived and reported the details of the situation to Arlan.

Arlan furrowed his eyebrows after he heard the report. 'Why did Leandro's men try to assassinate Fabian and his subordinates?' He thought to himself.

Suddenly, the phone in his pocket vibrated.

It was a call from Fabian.

"Hello, Uncle Fabian!"

"Arlan, I'm sorry, but we have to cancel our meeting tonight. Something important came up so I couldn't come to see you." Fabian spoke apologetically.

"Is this about the bombing incident?"

"H-How did you know?" Fabian was stunned when he heard Arlan's words.

"That's why we need to meet tonight, Uncle Fabian. I'll tell you everything when we meet. We should cancel our reservation in Pares Point The Original. It's best if you directly come to the Royal Territory. Someone will be at the entrance to pick you up." Arlan replied mysteriously.

Fabian was silent for a moment before he gave his answer. "Alright. I'll be there."
