Agricultural machinery? Farming??

“No, that’s impossible. How could this be an agricultural machine… Look at what it’s made of and look at the kinetics, it’s clearly a lethal weapon. And these are definitely gun barrels!”

These men with strong builds had the same expression as a group of flabbergasted women. Brady felt a sense of strong relief seeing their disbelief.

“Hehe, you only think that because there are only military materials on your aircraft.” Brady ruthlessly revealed the truth without caring about their emotions. “We have an intelligent measurement and control system installed in our control room already—you’re welcome to go check and see if it’s measuring the number of enemies or the gap between plants.”

The baldheads: “……”

It was as if they had been struck by lightning. Just moments ago, the wind was following behind them and they thought they struck gold with mysterious killing machines. In fact, they even had the fantasy of using K921 weapons in the future, but that dream was popped. If they continued on with their plans, would it look like they were driving a tractor in the eyes of others?

They had to confirm with Brady over and over again, and only accepted the truth when they saw that the machine modes truly were only catered towards crop protection. The bald serfs were so unhappy and started causing a fuss with Cui Hu.

Was Cui Hu trying to play a trick on them? They were all dangerous mercenaries balancing on a tightrope between life and death, and they only joined this organization on the promise of doing great things. Now they were being told that these ‘great things’ were using agricultural machinery? What was next, hoeing the land in the future? No, if this matter got spread around, they would become a joke in their industry!

Cui Hu barely listened to their complaints and frowned. “Didn’t I make it very clear that we would be doing more meaningful things together? When did I ever say that I would continue letting you guys commit crimes?”

What? What kind of sorry excuse was that!

The mercenaries were still worried about their reputation. “But, what are we considered to be doing now then?”

Cui Hu said lightly, “Is what we are doing now meaningless?”

They were about to spit out their saliva in rage. “If not meaningless, then what is the meaning behind this?! Is there even a meaning? We’re mercenaries, not farmers, what meaning would we find in farming?”

Cui Hu quickly looked back and made sure Cui QiChao hadn’t heard what they said. He faced them again and said, seriously this time, “Ha, since you all think farming is meaningless, then wouldn’t living also be meaningless?

We’re sorry for MTLers or people who like using reading mode, but our translations keep getting stolen by aggregators so we’re going to bring back the copy protection. If you need to MTL please retype the gibberish parts.

He sneered. “What grievances could you guys possibly have? I’m the one who has to mix the fertilizer anyways!”

If anything, Cui Hu should have the most grievances. He was an excellent alpha, his characteristics were top of the top and he was considered an alpha among alphas. In fact, he had an excellent career and was the ideal boyfriend for countless omegas—yet here he was, assisting his little cousin in farming on some unmanned planet… What were these guys who didn’t even have a strong identity dissatisfied with?!

Cui Hu’s expression was almost distorted in grief, and his pheromones became stronger and more intense, scaring the serfs speechless.

They touched the bomb around their necks and felt hopeless. Yes, how dare they feel aggrieved? If they didn’t want to die, they had to perform their duties here.

.

Barely any time passed before their minds were changed again. “It would be better if you let us die now!!” The bald serfs shouted. A scholar can be killed but not humiliated.

Cui QiChao came over and said, “What’s the matter?”

They were much more careful addressing him. “Boss Cui, we wouldn’t mind if we were asked to make an agricultural machine, but why are we being used as garbage collectors?”

At Cui QiChao’s feet were rattan baskets, sacks, and clamps, which they had been using to pick up garbage. The baldies’ performance since talking with Cui Hu was not too bad, and these days they were not very rebellious, so Cui QiChao wanted them to take advantage of the remaining good weather to pick up more garbage like abandoned space debris, animal dung, and other things.

Brady, who was observing them from the wall, felt very lucky that he was not enslaved and forced to do these tasks since he was the owner of the robots. If he was asked to pick up garbage, he would probably choose death instead.

The bald serfs felt very wronged and upset. “If you had asked us to kill someone instead, there would be no hesitation, but picking up shit? What do you treat us as?”

Cui QiChao’s expression remained blank, but his eyes became very dangerous. He approached the leader of the group step by step and said, “What do I treat you as? What do you think?” Even at half a head shorter than the man, the other party stepped back hurriedly and looked fearfully at the omega.

If this was in the past, the bald mercenaries would definitely think an omega being this close meant they were throwing themselves at them, but Cui QiChao’s gaze never left his, and the baldheads were not brave enough to keep eye contact with him.

They swallowed their saliva nervously. Even the boss of their former organization—not to mention any omegas they ever knew—didn’t have such an intense aura. But this one, who was extremely involved in everything going on this land, in addition to making machinery, showed a frightening side in an instant.

It was even different from Cui Hu’s gaze, who had a manic expression. Cui QiChao looked very emotionless, but each sweep of his eyes sent chills down their spines. They wanted to respond to him, but their throats became too dry and they were unable to utter a sound.

It was completely inconceivable that this was happening to the baldheads. After all, they were people who had gone onto battlefields and had dealt with death frequently.

Cui QiChao’s tone was freezing. “This is the last time I am asking this. Are you, or are you not, going to do it?”

The former mercenaries couldn’t speak, they just nodded their heads frantically up and down.

Fuck.

Fuck! This omega was just too terrifying—he truly was worthy of being the manufacturer of those weapons!

What a pity he only did agriculture! If he had been focused on establishing a criminal organization, they would have followed him as their boss even if they weren’t given any remuneration. One just had to take a glance to see that Cui QiChao was someone who could accomplish amazing things. Sigh, it was too bad he only used his skills to threaten them to pick up garbage.

Cui QiChao handed them the garbage bags and clamps. “Adjust it,” he commanded them.

These were not just primitive manual clamps, they had an energy-driven clamp which could be adjusted to hold very heavy metal. It was also connected with an imposition sensor, so the clamp would remain unstained by any dirt like feces.

The men went back to diligently pick up garbage with the clamps. If anyone oblivious to the true situation looked out onto the field, they would see a group of built men adjusting long machines and looking serious, as if they were preparing to fight.

“I’ll tell all of you what to pay attention to.” Cui QiChao taught them which ones were organic fertilizer and raw materials, and which ones were simply garbage that could not be used, then divided them into two groups. He had clear requirements on what was considered useful and not as well.

For example, any manure they picked up had to be tested for quality first. Most of what Cui QiChao grew was vegetables, so organic fertilizer was best. Most of it was classified as humic substances, and microbial flora existed within them. Humic substances were beneficial to plant nutrient absorption.

After teaching them for a while, Cui QiChao smiled and said, “No one will be watching you next time you go out to pick garbage. I wish all of you good luck.”

Everyone felt a chill run down their spine.

Was that a threat? It seemed like a threat!

They warily touched the bombs tied around their necks. There was no way any of them would even conceive any ideas of disobeying him unless it was after careful deliberation. Even if they managed to somehow take the bomb off, who knew what other tricks this omega had up his sleeve, given his mastery with such technology! Maybe he had hacker-like objects monitoring their movements and would explode them like fireworks once they made a rash move.

“Disperse.” Cui QiChao dismissed the newly established scavenging team then looked at Brady, who was still standing to the side. He found that he had changed his posture from leaning against the wall to squatting in place.

Cui QiChao didn’t particularly care about Brady, but Brady had offered to assist him in order to understand machinery more. However, to him, it didn’t matter who was the one assisting him.

Seeing Brady acting in such an odd manner, Cui QiChao asked. “What’s the matter?”

“…Nothing.” Brady smiled very awkwardly.

Honestly, Brady was in a bit of an embarrassing situation. When Cui QiChao had been interrogating the bald serfs, it was Brady’s first time seeing the omega lose his temper. Even though he knew he would lose his life if Cui QiChao saw, his dick uncontrollably became hard.

While Cui QiChao still remained unaware of it, their organization was already famous within the other large and small organizations within the nearby regions of this planet. For the time being, everyone was on guard against them, as they knew Cui QiChao had high-risk weapons, an unknown number of men, unknown composition, and an unknown purpose.

At present, they used K as a codename for this mysterious organization.

The codename was derived from K921, but it was quickly abandoned in less than a year when the galactic observatory saw that the area turned from its original gray soil to a vibrant patch of green. Although small, it was very eye-catching, and was gradually expanding.

In the beginning, everyone thought that the mysterious organization was planting trees while engaging in secret activities, though it was later confirmed they were growing vegetables. There were still speculations  that growing vegetables was their side job though—after all, their leader was Chinese, they must have some mysterious identity or purpose.

Anyway, this mysterious organization that suddenly popped out of nowhere was known as “Green”.

Before all this, only Lisa and her companions knew a little bit about the organization. Their leader was an omega who commanded some betas and alphas, who seemed to have a similar goal to their resistance—though what that was was still unknown to them.

Oh, and that he’s growing lettuce and sorghum himself. It’s very delicious.

The sorghum rice that Cui QiChao exchanged with Lisa and company from the last time had already been eaten clean by everyone in Lisa’s organization and was as popular as the lettuce.

When Lisa first heard the news from the galactic observatory, she was very surprised. Tristan, the so-called leader of the organization she knew, was still picking up waste when she first met him, so when did he even have K921? If his K921 was purchased through special channels, why did he not buy the seeds himself? These were all mysteries.

If not for the fact that she had communicated with Tristan herself and confirmed that he was the one who the Cui family had offered a reward to look for, she wouldn’t have believed it. If so, no wonder Tristan said they didn’t have to worry about him. She should worry about the people who wanted to cause trouble with him…

Albert was a little uneasy and asked Lisa, “Do you think we will be able to continue exchanging vegetables with them in the future?”

Lisa: “Ah?”

Albert: “After all, they have K921.”

Why would Tristan still have to exchange with them? He could just carry his guns to rob around the whole planet.

Lisa thought about the Tristan in her memories and said confidently, “I think there shouldn’t be an issue.”
