Episode 7 – Here, Ahhn

“How about you say [I was going out with Rina san  to avoid the shock of being dumped by you, Yuika. I want you to get back together with me !].”

Lunch break.

I was having lunch in a corner of the courtyard with Rina san.

Both of us were sitting on the bench with the bread that we bought at the store.

“Isn’t that pretty scummy? I mean, for me.”

“What’s not scummy about a guy who broke up with his girlfriend and then immediately started dating his ex-girlfriend’s sister? I think he’s pretty scummy.”.

“Whoa, you’re merciless…… You suggested it yourself.”

“Fufu, I think the result is immediate, though. I also think it’s worth a try. Honestly, at this rate things are going to get worse and worse…”

Rina san smiled wryly and scratched her cheeks.　

Even though Rina san likes me.

She thinks of me and tries her best to get me back together with Yuika.

In this situation, I felt a sense of guilt.

To be honest, I haven’t been able to turn my feelings toward Rina san yet.

I haven’t spent that much time to be able to see Rina san as a romantic interest.

That’s why.

“Can’t we stay like this a little longer?”

“Eh? I’m fine with it……”

“Then, let’s leave it as it is. I think it’s meaningless to get back together with Yuika unless she takes some kind of action.”

“That may be true.”

At the very least, it doesn’t make any sense unless I have proof that Yuika’s feelings are turning towards me again.

Even if we were able to get back together now, her rebellious spirit towards her sister would be the main source of her strength. Then our relationship will break down again in the near future.

To begin with, we don’t even know what kind of relationship Yuika and the guy she was with were. I mean, do I want to get back together with Yuka? I don’t know how I feel.

“Then, shall we flirt for the time being?”

“How can it turn out that way?”

“Because, you know, we’re dating. Before Yuika comes to steal Takuto kun back, I have to flirt with you, right?”

“I-is that so?”

It seems obvious, however, I can’t fully understand it, but for the time being, it seems that Rina san wants to flirt with me.

Rina delivered her half-eaten yakisoba bread to my mouth.

“here, ahhn.”

My body stiffened and sweat dripped down on  my back.

“I-I think that’s a little too much.”

“Hoho.  So you were concerned about the hygiene of my food.”

“I didn’t say that.”

“Then, you can eat it, right?”

“Ugh…..”

“Didn’t you do something like this with Yuika?”

“Just think about your sister’s personality. Do you think Yuika looks like she would do something like this?”

“Ahaha, I don’t think so. She’s basically salty to everyone.”

That’s true.

She is salty to everyone.

Even to me, her boyfriend, she remains the same.

However, sometimes, she is sweet to me as if she has changed, and this gap between the two personalities makes my heart flutter aggressively.. 

“But have you ever kissed before?”

“……T-that’s, ……Well?”

I would be surprised if we had been together for a year and a half and haven’t even kissed.

My reasoning isn’t that strong.

“Then I’m sure you don’t mind indirect kisses”

“…..Tsu. W-well, I don’t mind?”

I feel like I’m being teased, and my pride starts to show off.

Rina san’s cheeks broke into a smile and she brought the yakisoba bread even closer to me.

“Hm, then, ahn.’

“A-ahhh……”

I fearfully opened my mouth.

I closed my eyes so hard  as if I glued them together, and chewed a piece of yakisoba bread.

Rina san smiled softly.

“Is it good?”

“……Duwicious.”

To be honest, my mental state has fallen into ruin that I can’t really taste it, but I hide it and tell her how I think it tastes.

Rina san looked at me happily with a calm and composed attitude.

Her winning attitude struck me at my heartstrings, and I began to feel the desire to fight back.

“Then, Rina san, have a bite.”

“Eh, ……well, I’m fine.”

I offered her a piece of pizza bread, and Rina san’s cheeks slightly blushing.

“No, no, please don’t be shy.”

“I’m not being shy.”

“Are you worried about the hygiene of the spot where I ate?”

“……Takuto kun, you’re so mean.”

She gave me a jittery, wet look.

Isn’t that face kinda unfair?

It invites sadistic feelings to my heart…….

“Here you go.”

“…..M-mou, whatever.”

Rina san bite on a piece of pizza bread while spouting lines that don’t seem to come from a person who receives the bite.

She looked like a hamster with her little mouth full of it.

“Is it good?”

Rina nodded her head while munching on it.

Her face was red as if she got sunburned.

When she finished chewing, Rina san glanced at me.

“Tomorrow, I’m going to make you lunch.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. I’ve always wanted to make lunch for my boyfriend.”

“I’m looking forward to it.”

I’m excited.

I’ve also longed for homemade lunches.

……And suddenly, I questioned my own feelings.

I just broke up with Yuika yesterday.

And soon after that, I started dating Rina san, but I’m sure I was still heartbroken…

However, while I was with Rina san, my heart that had fallen into ruin and darkness completely disappeared.

I wonder if I’m the kind of person who can change so quickly…

My feelings, which may seem heartless, make me look distressed.

“Hm? What’s wrong?”

“No, it’s nothing.”

Rina san noticed the change in my expression.

I smiled faintly and tried to cover it up.
