After placing their reactions in her eyes, Ye Yu turned around and took out a leave of absence request book, writing something.

After a few seconds of silence, she stopped and said, “It’s fine. It’s not even a big deal, so stop standing here. Why don’t you guys take your seats?”

“We’re not as generous and forgiving like senior sister Ye.” A girl by the side muttered. “In the last meeting, Wang Qiyue…Senior sister Wang had stolen our sponsor. If it was up to me, I would’ve thrown the laptop at her face already. Only senior sister, you, have a good attitude. When looking at her prideful gaze, you are still able to smile back at her…”

“I have a good attitude? This compliment is new and it’s my first time hearing it.”

“But you still —-”

“It’s because I like my waist bag more.” Ye Yu said, “Next time, if her laptop is in front of me, you guys can witness me throwing it at her.”

Everyone laughed out loud.

After that, the guy near the door rubbed his nose in regret. “We just missed by a few seconds and they stole our sponsor. It’s really putting me in a bad mood and they’re going to confirm the contract in this meeting, right?”

All the executive secretaries’ smiles faded, but only Ye Yu curled her lips.

“…Who knows.”

Everyone wanted to ask more when they heard footsteps outside; they glanced at each other and they all sighed in unison.

In a few seconds, the door to the conference room was pushed open and Wang Qiyue and her executive secretaries all walked in.

The leader, Wang Qiyue, didn’t have a pleasant look on her face and she sat next to Ye Yu.

She turned around and slapped a black folder on the conference table.

“Ye Yu, well aren’t you good?” Wang Qiyue forced a smile on her face, but she couldn’t hide the dark tone and look.

The conference room was quiet for a while before Ye Yu raised her head slowly.

“Whoa, senior sister Wang? You came ‘early’?”

As the second year university student and co-leader of the department as well, Ye Yu spat ‘senior sister’ out without pressure. Her expression even made it seem like she just saw the person next to her, genuinely shocked.

Wang Qiyue pinched the contract page tightly in her hands after opening the folder and her face was unbearable to look at.

“Ye Yu, I’ll remember you for this contract!”

Ye Yu pursed her lips and lazily stood up, leaning against the conference table. Then, she leisurely glanced at Wang Qiyue, asking, “What does senior sister Wang mean by this?”

“…” Wang Qiyue was pierced by her gaze and she instinctively avoided it. Once she realized her action, she angrily glared at her and said, “What are you pretending for? You dare to say you didn’t tamper with the signing of the contract?!”

Ye Yu stopped a few seconds and laughed quietly. “Oh, I get it. Your group didn’t get to sign the contract, so senior sister Wang is here to blame me.”

She turned around to look at her group’s first year university students and executive secretaries.

“It seems like I’m used to leading you guys. Why didn’t you guys teach senior sister Wang step by step last time on how to sign a contract?”

Wang Qiyue was infuriated to the point even her voice changed. “Ye Yu! You —-”

“This is the conference room, so go outside if you have to scream.”

Ye Yu cut off her words and for a second, her gaze was icy.

But in the next second, the ice seemed to have melted and only rippling water was present. Everyone snapped out of their trances and Ye Yu still said in a harmless tone, “Senior sister Wang, please be mindful of your image.”

“…”

Wang Qiyue wanted to vent her anger, but Ye Yu’s gaze did make her afraid.

After a few moments of tension, Wang Qiyue sneered and turned around, walking out.

Ye Yu squinted her eyes and looked to the side, the light hitting her face.

“The conference is about to start, so where is senior sister Wang going now?”

Wang Qiyue stopped, but didn’t turn around. With her back against everyone, she said coldly, “I’m not feeling well, so I’m requesting a leave of absence. Plus, didn’t the sponsor company mention your name? I don’t have as much ability as you, so I’ll give you the sponsor!”

Ye Yu walked next to Wang Qiyue and said, “Senior sister Wang really misunderstood me.”

Wang Qiyue still held hope towards the contract, so she didn’t leave when she heard Ye Yu’s voice. She turned around to look at Ye Yu.

Ye Yu said in a gentle tone, “I had already handed over the sponsor collaboration to you last week. Therefore, whether you signed the contract with them or not is not my fault. Where did you get the courage to toss this contract to me?”

“…”

Wang Qiyue trembled.

She originally thought that Ye Yu just wanted to take back what was hers from the start.

But now, after Ye Yu stated explicitly and hinted at her, she suddenly thought of an even more terrifying possibility.

When Ye Yu saw how terrified Wang Qiyue was, she laughed again.

“Senior sister Wang, sorry. It’s not that I don’t want to ‘help’ you guys — ”

Ye Yu placed the note she had filled out in the palm of Wang Qiyue’s hands and continued, “I am really feeling unwell. This is my request of absence, so please hand this to the leader for me. Please —-”

She leaned over and softly said, “ — don’t ‘forget’ again.”

After that, Ye Yu patted Wang Qiyue’s shoulders and walked out.

When she left, Ye Yu’s sharp gaze became lazy once again.

She ‘borrowed’ what’s hers and wanted to shove it back to her without giving her some interest?

Ye Yu stretched her body comfortably and headed for the stairs.

She just walked down two steps when her phone rang.

She glanced at the caller and placed the phone next to her ear. “Su Miao?”

“Ahhh. Ye Yu, there’s actually a pitfall in 《Night isn’t evil》!!!”

The sudden loud voice was like thunder in her eyes, causing Ye Yu’s heart to skip a beat and making it lose her balance.

In the second before she rolled down dozens of steps, there was only one thought in her mind.

Her legendary reputation would be ruined by this cause of death.
