Kojiin Tamer

Chapter 70

Happy Monday!

Here’s the chapter, enjoy.

After talking with Ojii-san and Obaa-san, I went shopping with Char-chan.

Queen and the others were coming with the wolf cart as well, so we were planning to buy a little bit more today.

After purchasing wheat flour, vegetables, and seasonings, we went to the liquor store.

That was because Ojii-san asked us to get something from there. Yesterday, we only purchased a small amount of alcohol because we bought wheat flour as well, but Ojii-san had returned home when he got back to the forest, and had treated everyone in the village to human alcohol, and as a result, they wanted a large amount of it because it was very popular.

Because of that, we purchased it two separate times, and it seems that Ojii-san brought half of it back using magic.

Incidentally, the alcohol was mostly fruit wine and it seems that it was popular with the women of the village.

After leaving the liquor store, we headed to our next stop, the general store.

Even though we’re having Obaa-san teach us how to concoct medicine, we didn’t have the tools, though we had a large amount of medicinal herbs.

Here, we purchased mortars, pots, containers for the medicine, etc.

Also, we bought some carpentry tools like saws, chisels, and planes.

Although it was said that the orphanage’s children were going to become adventurers, they still had choices, so I thought that it would be good to teach them carpentry and the like as they’re practicing to be adventurers.

The tools I had been using was what I had originally borrowed from Ojii-san and perhaps this was the perfect timing.

Returning to the orphanage, we sorted the luggage, and went to the place where Obaa-san was to give her the tools and ingredients. Receiving the items, Obaa-san promptly began teaching the girls how to concoct medicine.

As expected, she wouldn’t be able to teach them everything all in one sitting, so she also taught them sewing and leather processing in turn.

In Ojii-san’s case, it was sword practice, as usual.

The children who had no confidence in their stamina rested at times and did woodworking, making chairs, tables, and tableware.

Near the trees was a silver squirrel who carved out figurines by gnawing at the tree.

As for me, I made swords that were used for practice, as well as wooden swords. Also, in preparation for the harvesting, I made arrows, and I also tried making several sturdy wooden swords.

After doing this and that, the day came to an end, and the next day, the time for Ojii-san and the others’ departure came.

The ones escorting them back were the same ones who accompanied them here, the usual members.

Loaded in the wolf cart were wheat four, alcohol, etc., a good balance of things. Ojii-san also went to buy alcohol as we were preparing things. How much did he buy?

On the way, Cruz-kun was running around a distance away from the wolf cart, and Ilya-chan was practicing her aiming with blunt arrows.

I, who happened to be free, asked Ojii-san about the cursed knife.

「Ojii-san, how do I break the curse on this knife?」

「That’s, casting magic on it until it is broken?」

「No, that is true, but it’s not broken even though I used magic all day yesterday and I’m casting magic on it even now, you know?」

「Like I said, cursed items are troublesome….」

「Eeh~….」

「Still, I can’t use holy magic either. Boy, can you?」

「As expected, I can’t use something like holy magic. You can’t use it if you’re not part of the clergy, right?」

「To put it more accurately, it’s those who have a connection with God. although they’re clergymen, not every one of them can use it.」

「A connection with God, there’s no way…I would have something like that….」

(Huuh? I had been transmigrated by God and came to this world, right? That means that I have a connection with God? Perhaps I know holy magic?)

「Maa, have some patience and do your best.」

「Haa….」

And so, we arrived at the hut.
