MEIWITA Chapter 900: Gradually Surfacing

Ye Qing Han and Ming Xiu left to use a special method to send messages to the Sea Realm and Human Realm respectively.

Lou Mu Yan also sent news to her parents and Lan Si respectfully, but the former was mainly to report her safety, while the latter condensed the news they obtained from the Third Holy Maiden.

Lou Mu Bai, Su Jin, and the others also left the room.

When only Lou Mu Yan and Mo Yan were left in the room, Mo Yan jumped off her shoulder and transformed into his human form.

Seeing Mo Yan’s pale expression, Lou Mu Yan guessed that he must be extremely sad at this moment.

Judging from the investigations during the trip between the Nine-Tailed Fox Clan and the devil race, the mastermind behind all the scenes pointed to Mo Yan’s mother, and even the Nine-Tailed Fox King might not know the true face of that woman.

Thus, it also reflected indirectly that the death of Mo Yan’s father wasn’t simply the result of the battle between races, and his mother wasn’t as simple as just an accomplice, but could be the mastermind and driving force behind that conspiracy.

Even the destruction of the Thunder Beast Clan might not be led by the Nine-Tailed Fox King, but was driven by that woman.

“I’m fine.” Mo Yan’s voice was somewhat hoarse and depressed.

He could see the obvious worry and heartache in Lou Mu Yan’s eyes, which made his already cold heart feel much warmer.

Lou Mu Yan sighed, took out a tea set and spiritual tea then began to brew it.

A cup of steaming, fragrant tea was handed to Mo Yan.

His dull eyes deepened. He stretched out his hand to hold the teacup and took a sip. The hot tea dispelled a lot of the chill.

“You must feel very uncomfortable.” Lou Mu Yan and Mo Yan had relied on each other for so long, there was never any need to sugarcoat their words.

Mo Yan stared at the golden, clear tea in his hand, then slowly opened his mouth after a while: “It’d be a lie to say that I don’t care and feel sad at all, but the main thing is that I feel sad for my King Father.”

The woman his King Father held in his hands for fear that she’d fly away, and cared for so carefully repaid him like this. If his King Father knew, he wondered if his soul would be able to rest in peace or not.

If his King Father didn’t die, he might’ve been angered half to death if he heard this.

“Everyone’s choice is different. In fact, maybe it wasn’t that your King Father didn’t know anything about this woman, but he may have deliberately deceived himself, and was even willing to make such sacrifices.” Lou Mu Yan had never met the former Soul Devourer King, but she had looked up the dossiers related to him.

She discovered that the Soul Devourer was a very powerful Demon King, be it in terms of intelligence or methods, he wasn’t inferior in the slightest.

Such a shrewd king was plotted by the pillow-side person, she just felt that being willing to give was a part of it.

“Maybe.” Mo Yan sighed.

He didn’t have any deep feelings for that woman. Since he was a child, that woman had never held him once, nor coaxed him gently. When they met, it’d be asking him about his cultivation results like a superior to a subordinate.

The most uncomfortable and unacceptable thing for him was that the woman was the culprit behind the death of his King Father.

Suddenly, a secret Communication Talisman flew in, and she took out the piece of information, opened it, and browsed it.

This was the news she asked Lou Mu Bai to use the Hidden City network to find out.

“My Eldest Brother found two pieces of news, one of which is related to you.” After reading all the information, her eyes revealed surprise.

Mo Yan raised his eyes and asked: “What news?”

“The Crown Prince of the Nine-Tailed Fox Clan is your elder twin brother. He has the same father and mother as you.” Lou Mu Yan had been suspicious when she saw the similarity in their looks, so she asked Lou Mu Bai to investigate.

Mo Yan was stunned and said in confusion: “If he’s my full blood-related brother, why is he recognised by the Nine-Tailed Fox King and the superiors of the Fox Clan?”

He believed that no matter how magnanimous the Nine-Tailed Fox King was, it’d be impossible for him to appoint another man’s child as the Crown Prince—who’d wear such a green hat1.

“I still remember that when you first met him, you said that he had no blood relationship to you, but later you used a secret skill of the Spirit Devourers to activate the bloodline.”

Lou Mu Yan paused, then continued: “And that woman is of the pure bloodline of the Nine-Tailed Fox Royal Family, so I suspect that she has done something to prevent the Nine-Tailed Fox King and the Elders of the Fox Clan from finding out your elder brother’s bloodline.”

“If that’s the case, then such a secret matter can be found out by the Hidden City? If that woman did this, then all hidden dangers should be cleared away, leaving no clues.” This was what Mo Yan was curious about.

He believed in Lou Mu Bai’s ability, but it was a bit surprising that such things could be found out.

“My eldest brother’s Master is the Hidden Emperor of the Hidden City, and the Hidden Emperor’s original body has actually already cultivated to the realm of Immortal.”

Lou Mu Yan explained: “When he became an Immortal, he unintentionally refined the Core Elemental Laws of Guang’ling World, so even if his avatars remain on this interface, it wouldn’t be rejected by this interface.”

As the only direct disciple of the Hidden Emperor, Lou Mu Bai knew about such things.

She was quite happy when she heard this news. First, she was happy for her big brother to have become the disciple of such a powerful master, and second, she and Ming Xiu could also search for the Core Elemental Laws of Guang’ling World to refine them before becoming Immortals. That way, their avatars could also stay on Guang’ling World.

Of course, such a result had advantages and limitations.

That was, the avatars who remained on this interface weren’t allowed to kill people without any karmic grudges, otherwise they would be forcibly rejected from the interface, and may even be punished by the Laws.

“The Hidden Emperor’s avatar is suppressed below Immortal, but his ability and strength are connected to the main body, so he can use Time Retrospection to check the past.” She added.

“So that’s how it is.” Mo Yan nodded: “Then can he find out about that woman’s past?”

“The Hidden Emperor is restricted by the Laws. In Time Retrospection, he can’t spy on any information that will have a huge impact on the future of the interface. When he investigated the Nine-Tailed Fox Queen, he only found out two pieces of information.”

She continued: “One is that after she gave birth to twins back then, she sent out the eldest son with the purer Nine-Tailed Fox Royal Family bloodline, and left you, who had the purer Spirit Devourer Royal Bloodline in the Spirit Devourer Clan. Your King Father probably didn’t even know that she gave birth to twins.

“Second, her identity may not be as simple as it appears on the surface. She should be a spy left on Guang’ling World by another large interface, and the purpose is to completely turn Guang’ling World into a resource bank for that large interface, able to be accessed at any time.

“Of course, such a plan must not only have been planned for thousands of years, it would’ve taken at least tens of thousands of years to complete, so your Queen Mother’s bloodline must only be half from the Nine-Tailed Fox Clan, while the other half is from an alien race, passed on from one generation to the next, and the plan happens to be implemented when it arrived to her.” Lou Mu Yan actually didn’t expect that the news they found out would be this kind of result.

If her Eldest Brother hadn’t asked the Hidden Emperor to take action this one time, they probably would’ve only thought that the Nine-Tailed Fox Queen was too ambitious, and they would never have thought that this was an alien race’s encroachment and annexation plan.

1if a man’s given a green hat to wear, it means the woman’s cheated on him and vice versa, but often said for men. Based on a tale about a cheating wife giving her husband a green hat to wear each time he goes out, as a signal to her side piece that he’ll be gone. If memory serves me right.

Note: Gosh only 70 more chapters to go!!! Meaning a maximum of 70 days, or maybe 35 more days if I can keep up 2 chapters a day. I can’t promise a second chapter today, but I’ll try!!! Towards the end I might upload more than 2 chapters a day, I’ll see how I go!

Note 2: I’m literally still tossing between which of my favourite long series’ I want to translate next. So hard to choose! I already know which short and simple series I’m going to translate, but the longer series is the question… But it’ll still be a cnovel. It’ll be either historical and/or fantasy and/or cultivation. And definitely will have romance. Those are just my preferences XD. I do like modern romances too, I just happen to have many of the above genres on my list to translate hahaha
