Chapter 23: The Smell was Sweet and Lustful

“Who are you? Get out of here! Don’t you know what this place is?” The second boss had thought he was about to get his hands on a beautiful omega, but instead he was disturbed by someone, so he yelled, “Security, where’s the security?!”

However, Pei Yutu only saw that the man with the gold chain had the audacity to bully his Instructor Ping, and didn’t give him a chance to say anything else. He took three steps forward, grabbed the second boss by the collar, lifted him off the ground and threw him against the wall! It was a hand-painted wall with an abstract design, with  the second boss as the center of a circle of cracks that spread rapidly through the wall. Pei Yutu actually shoved the man through the wall with his bare hands!

The second boss was a big man of at least 1.8 meters, but against Pei Yutu he didn’t have the strength to fight back. Pei Yutu released his grip, and the man fell to his knees with a poof. His back was screaming in hot pain. He was shocked and angry, as he grimaced and shouted, “You! Who the hell are you? Do you know what this place is?”

Pei Yutu picked the man up again, looked him in the eye and said, “This is just a fucking bar. I’ll smash it when I say so!”

The second boss was bleeding from the mouth and nose, and couldn’t even speak clearly, “Why are you coming up here and hitting people? You should know Ghost Ear! He’s my big brother!”

Pei Yutu punched him again. “Who? I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. I don’t know!”

The second boss had been on Taiping Street for so many years, but never encountered such an unforgiving stubborn alpha. He said in a crying voice, “You should know White Hole, right? It’s the largest interstellar pirate group outside the territory!”

Pei Yutu paused his abuse. From the main star to the far domain, there was no one who didn’t know White Hole. It was a world-class pirate organization. They smuggled, were in arms trafficking, human trafficking, contraband drugs and all sorts of evil. They were larger than a regular army and a tumor across the Alliance. Over the years, the Military Ministry organized numerous roundups but it still could not be completely eradicated. Pei Yutu, as a soldier stationed abroad, had naturally heard of them.

The second boss took advantage of this opportunity to finally let out a breath. He thought Pei Yutu was afraid, so he covered his wound and grunted with renewed bravado. “My big brother is a high ranking person of White Hole! To tell you the truth, this bar is his side business. Ghost Ear is following the prince to do big business! Who dares to not give me face in front of the whole Taiping Street and Star City black market?!”

“That’s quite respectable. No wonder those customers are giving way to you,” Pei Yutu said.

“Now you’re afraid? Heh.” The second boss struggled to get up. “You kid, dared to hit me–“

This time, Pei Yutu pinned the man to the ground and punched him so hard that the second boss screamed, “Who cares who you are!? You touched him so you’re dead! Which hand just touched him?”

Pei Yutu was about to rip off the man’s hand with his bare hands when the security guards arrived, perhaps more appropriately named fighters, and all armed alphas. They were shocked to see their boss being held down and beaten.

Ping Mo held his wrist. “Don’t make a big deal out of it. Let’s go!”

“Don’t let them get away!” They had just seen Pei Yutu’s fierce and brutal strength, so they didn’t dare to be careless. They didn’t expect the soft and harmless pretty omega beside him to be even more ruthless!

Not only ruthless, but also insidious.

The young man pulled a shiny military dagger out of nowhere. The knife’s action was so fast that the naked eye couldn’t spot it as it brushed a few times, and caused a cry of pain. Several fighters covered their wrists and knees. The electric batons fell to the ground, and by the time they picked up their weapons again, Ping Mo had already dragged the alpha to the fire escape and run away.

The second boss was so angry that he smacked the ground. “Chase! Give chase!”

At the end of the fire escape was an open window, and outside the window was a nighttime street. The lead fighter looked out, called his brothers, and jumped out of the window after them.

Pei Yutu, however, pulled Ping Mo straight back through the first floor, and called it, “Darkness under the lights.”

The first floor was holding a theme party called Pheromone Night. In addition to the boiling heavy metal music, the place was full of different pheromone scents. In the dim lighting, the people were moving around; suggestive and chaotic.

With the principle of ‘the more dangerous the safer’, Pei Yutu crossed the entire dance floor and pulled Ping Mo to the deepest corner before he asked, “Instructor Ping, why are you here? And…I heard the waiter say that you registered yourself as an omega.”

Ping Mo had already made up his mind to deny it after running all this way. He opened his mouth, and without changing his expression, lied. “That’s the ‘artificial pheromones’.”

Then he took on his boss role. “Pei, I don’t need to report to you what I came here to do.”

Pei Yutu hadn’t expected Ping to be so cross at that time, and was choked for a moment. He didn’t speak, then gave an angry laugh, “I just saved you, at least. Yet you treat your benefactor like this?”

The corner was safe enough, but the air wasn’t circulating so the pheromones from the crowd floated around, and especially the tequila scented pheromones in the mix. Their presence was very strong, and Instructor Ping wasn’t comfortable. His tone was also impatient, “I didn’t need you to save me!”

Pei Yutu, “…”

In fact, when he thought about it, that was true. Even if he hadn’t done anything, according to Instructor Ping’s skills, he would never lose. However, at that time, he thought nothing of it. He just passionately rushed out, he wanted to stand up for Ping Mo, then wanted to beat up those who dared to bully him until they didn’t know their mothers. Even though he knew that the man was powerful, and knew that he didn’t need protection.

He just wanted to do that.

“Seriously? You, no matter what, are now an instructor. A teacher. You need to pay a little attention to your private life.” The implication was that coming to this kind of place in the middle of the night to spend time, looked immodest.

Instructor Ping was very good at the art of leadership language, so he didn’t articulate everyting, but got to the point at the end. Then he patted Pei Yutu’s sturdy upper arm. “I guess they’ve run far away, and won’t turn back. Continue to play. I have to go back.”

Pei Yutu just felt a big pot fall from the sky, so he couldn’t let him go. He grabbed the man, and explained, “I’m not here to play! That student is missing, and the police have not been able to find him. He told me about this bar, so I came to check it out!”

The music around him was deafening, but Teaching Assistant Pei was still worried about being overheard, so he pulled Ping strongly while taking a step forward himself, which inexplicably turned into a pose where he was holding Ping Mo against the wall.

The familiar sensation came again, and a tingle shot through the top of his head and tailbone.

“!!!”

The entire dance of pheromones faded from his senses, only the strong and dominant tequila scent stimulated his fragile glands. Ping Mo suspected that this was related to the last temporary mark that was made by mistake. Since then, he had been extra sensitive to Pei Yutu’s pheromones. The sensitivity…

The itch at the top of his head and behind his back was becoming more and more obvious, and from experience, Instructor Ping knew that it might not be more than a few minutes before he went into bonding heat and developed cat ears. Even if the light here was dim, today, he had worn a pair of tight pants of the new biodegradable material. If they burst…

No, he must leave quickly! Otherwise, he would rather slaughter the whole place than let people see his ugly form!

Ping Mo shook off Pei Yutu’s shackles, not even bothering to look behind him as he ran out.

Pei Yutu didn’t let him disappear this time. Just seconds before Instructor Ping left, Teaching Assistant Pei smelled the steeply concentrated, familiar sweet grapefruit omega’s pheromones. The smell was sweet and lustful, and there was no mistaking it after one sniff.

Not only Pei Yutu, but a number of alphas on the nearby dance floor also stopped partying. Suspicious and eager, they looked around, and some even tried to chase the scent.

“…”

Pei Yutu saw the situation, and refused to delay, giving chase.
