Chapter 145.2 – Extra Chapter 4

The thunder was followed by heavy rain that caused pitter-patter sound outside the window. The wind blowing inside the room brought in some cold and moisture, finally relieving them of the unbearable heat. But Lu Qipei, who was hugging her wife in her arms, was feeling dejected and dead inside.

But what could she do? Of course, all she could do was sigh, and comfort Her Royal Highness The Princess who was frightened by the thunder.

Qi Yang nestled silently in Lu Qipei’s arms, but she was actually feeling a bit awkward – she was actually not afraid of the thunder itself, but the previous one came too suddenly and at the wrong time, so she was shocked when it caught her unprepared. But it was obviously impossible to continue like this. She was too embarrassed to face Lu Qipei right now, so she could only shrink into her arms and play dead for now.

Fortunately, Lu Qipei hadn’t noticed it yet and was comforting her gently. It wasn’t until she felt Qi Yang’s tense body gradually relax that she said with a hoarse voice, “Ah Ning, it’s alright. I’m going to check if the rain is leaking through the window and close it if needed.”

Hearing her obviously unnatural voice, Qi Yang’s ears were burning. She silently released her grip on Lu Qipei’s collar.

When Lu Qipei got up, another clap of thunder just happened to sound, and she subconsciously looked at Qi Yang on the bed. Fortunately, Qi Yang didn’t seem to be startled this time. She gave her a glance then looked away, and conveniently rearranged her messy clothes.

Only then did Lu Qipei remember that Qi Yang was not afraid of thunder at all! Unfortunately, the atmosphere was already gone now, and it was too late to say anything. Lu Qipei could only go check the window in frustration and look for the cold wind to calm her frustration.

Fortunately, their temporary lodging didn’t have any leaks. Although some fine raindrops outside were blown inside by the wind, that little bit of rain was not a problem. The night wind after the rain was somewhat cool, and it could relieve the sweltering heat inside the house, so there was no need to close the window.

Lu Qipei stood in front of the window for a while, with fine raindrops splashing on her face. It was cool and refreshing.

She looked up and saw the dark night outside the window. The bright moon that was hanging on the sky before had long been obscured by the dark clouds. Occasionally, a flash of lightning would appear across the sky, rudely tearing away the darkness and illuminating half the world. Right afterwards, another earth-splitting thunder would appear, roaring endlessly, as if it would split the heavens and earth apart.

Amidst the thunder, a sudden banging sound came from the door.

Lu Qipei instinctively turned back and looked at the direction of the door, thinking that she had heard wrong. But after the thunder had passed, the banging sound still continued, and she finally believed that someone really was knocking on their door in the middle of the night.

With inexplicable emotions, Lu Qipei walked over and opened the door.

When she looked up, there was no one.

When she looked down, there was the little radish that was hugging her rabbit again, looking up at her with teary eyes.

Lu Sheng hugged the rabbit with a panicked expression on her face. Looking at Lu Qipei, she timidly said, “Uncle, Uncle, the thunder, Ah Sheng, Ah Sheng is scared…” There was another thunderclap just as she said that, scaring the child into Lu Qipei’s arms.

Lu Qipei, hugged the little radish and the rabbit together. “…”

Okay, anyways there’s still some people who are actually afraid of thunder tonight.

Holding Lu Sheng’s trembling little body in her arms, Lu Qipei still felt a bit of heartache. As she carried the child into the room, she asked, “Why did Ah Sheng come over? Where is the maid keeping watch in your room?”

Being held in Lu Qipei’s arms, Lu Sheng was obviously feeling a lot more relieved. She replied honestly, “The maid sister is also afraid of thunder.”

Upon hearing those words, Lu Qipei fell silent, and for some reason the image of Lu Sheng and her maid hugging each other while trembling appeared in her mind. Needless to say, it was pretty funny, and at least it had managed to improve her previously downcast mood. So without asking any further questions, she hugged Lu Sheng and returned to the inner room.

When she heard the knocks on the door, Qi Yang stood up and lit the lamp. Seeing Lu Sheng coming over, she was a little surprised and quickly lowered her head, reorganizing her clothes. Only after confirming that there was no problem did she breathe a sigh of relief. Then, she looked up at Lu Qipei, and her gaze turned strange again – it’s not that Lu Qipei was disheveled right now, but since they were both in the bedroom and about to go to bed, of course Lu Qipei didn’t have her breasts wrapped!

The child was held in Lu Qipei’s arms. Even if she didn’t see it, she could probably feel the exceptional softness.

Qi Yang couldn’t say whether she was worried or jealous, so she quickly took a step forward and picked Lu Sheng up, saying, “Why did Ah Sheng come here in the middle of the night?”

Upon hearing this, Lu Qipei was about to answer for Lu Sheng when Qi Yang gave her a sideways glance and winked.  She looked down and noticed something was wrong, so she hurriedly went behind the screen and tidied up.

Lu Sheng didn’t notice these things and still obediently replied, “Ah Sheng is afraid of thunder and wants to be with Her Highness and Uncle.”

There were still sounds of thunder outside, and the child looked very pitiful. Qi Yang couldn’t refuse, so she carried Lu Sheng back to her bed and said, “Then, how about Ah Sheng sleep with us tonight?”

Lu Sheng’s eyes were sparkling, and her head nodded up and down.

When Lu Qipei finished tidying up and returned, there was an extra little radish on the bed between them. She sighed and laid back down.

Author notes:

God (lightning and thunder): I have foreseen that tonight is not the time for some intimacy

Lu Qipei (internal injury): Fine, we can’t do anything anyways, having a few more lightbulbs won’t make a difference.

Rabbit (???): What about me? Where did I go?

Qi Yang (disgusted): Of course you’re thrown away on the floor.

Rabbit (…): Didn’t we agree that we would eat and sleep together, and I would be pampered!?
