Chapter 148.2 – Extra Chapter 7

The ancients would say that there is no bigger joy in a couple’s bedroom than painting the other’s eyebrows.

Qi Yang and Lu Qipei had been married for many years, and had experienced this many times. Not only would Lu Qipei paint Qi Yang’s brows, but Qi Yang would also paint hers. But usually, when Qi Yang helped Lu Qipei put on makeup, she would make the latter’s eyebrows thicker, adding a bit of sharpness to make her face that was too soft look more heroic. But now it was time to put a woman’s makeup on her.

Because of that, Qi Yang, who was holding a rouge eyebrow pencil, was a bit nervous. She was afraid that she would make her beloved look ugly – after all, she was a noble princess, and it usually wasn’t her place to do minor things like dressing herself up. She would usually have skilled maids dress her up beautifully.

Thinking of this, Qi Yang stood in front of Lu Qipei with the eyebrow pencil, but did not move her hand.

Her pretty eyebrows furrowed slightly, and she looked even more serious than when she first reviewed memorials on behalf of the Little Emperor.

Lu Qipei sat on the makeup stool, not in a hurry. She looked up at Qi Yang slightly, neither speaking to nor urging her, her gaze still light and gentle.

Qi Yang gradually calmed down under this gaze. She raised the eyebrow pencil again and began to draw eyebrows for Lu Qipei. Although her gaze was serious, this matter was not actually difficult for her. After all, it’s not like she had never put on makeup, her heart was just full of emotions today and she was overwhelmed by all kinds of thoughts. After leaving the distractions behind, her following actions naturally flowed smoothly.

The eyebrows were drawn, rouge was lightly applied, her round fingertips were stained with bright red lip balm, and little by little it was applied to those thin lips…

Qi Yang seemed to be immersed in it. Sometimes there would be eye contact between them, and there were lingering moments in their eyes. Qi Yang’s eyes was fixed on Lu Qipei’s delicate eyebrows and her lips that were just dyed red, looking serious and focused.

Finally, bright red colors completely covered Lu Qipei’s originally pink lips, and Qi yang’s fingertips finally moved away from them, as the makeup was completed.

The woman in front of her had eyebrows like distant mountains, eyes like cold stars, a tall jade-like nose, and charming red lips. A moon-white dress further accentuated her cold demeanor, but her temperament remained gentle. She just changed her clothes and makeup, but it was almost as if she became a different person.

For Qi Yang, when she compared the current Lu Qipei with the Lu Qicheng from back then, the two of them actually did not look that similar. At most it was fifty or sixty percent similar, or sixty to seventy percent if you took off the makeup. It turned out that the similarity was still the effect of makeup.

But right now, no one had the time to think about Lu Qipei’s unfortunate younger brother who had been dead for many years.

Lu Qipei looked at Qi Yang, and Qi Yang also looked at Lu Qipei. The two of them looked up and down with their eyes facing each other, and something was silently brewing.

Qi Yang was staring fixedly at Lu Qipei’s bright red lips, stained with lip balm. She squeezed the fingers hanging by her side lightly, recalling the feeling of touching those lips when applying lip balm earlier. She was too focused at the time that she couldn’t think much about it, but now she couldn’t help recalling it and her heart was beating.

Maybe Lu Qipei saw Qi Yang’s deep gaze, she slightly curled her lips and asked, “Ah Ning, is it done?”

Qi Yang came back to her senses and blinked her eyes, her throat feeling a little dry. “It’s done.” After a pause, she added, “It looks great.”

Lu Qipei smiled and said, “I haven’t dressed up like this for a long time. I think was still in my prime back then, but who knows what I’ve become now.” As she said that, she turned sideways slightly, looking curiously at the copper mirror that had been blocked behind Qi Yang.

The bronze mirror in the princess’s mansion was of course the best there was, and the delicate mirror surface clearly reflected Lu Qipei’s current appearance – under the exquisite makeup, the eyes and brows of the person reflected on it seemed somewhat familiar, but because the attire was very different than before, she looked a bit unfamiliar.

But after a quick glance, Qi Yang quickly blocked Lu Qipei’s sight before the latter could take a closer look.

This made Lu Qipei feel a little confused, so she raised her head in confusion and looked at the person in front of her, “Your Highness?”

But Qi Yang took advantage of the situation to move her hand and raise the latter’s chin, her fingertips caressing Lu Qipei’s delicate skin as she told her, “I told you, it looks great.” As she said that, her gaze focused on Lu Qipei’s red lips, and she couldn’t help leaning over and kissing her.

Lu Qipei blinked, but this time she didn’t show any surprise. Instead, she responded with a pampering gaze and closed her eyes.

The two just had skin-to-skin contact this morning, so it was natural to get close to each other again. Qi Yang soon felt dissatisfied and suddenly grabbed Lu Qipei, pulling her up, then turning around and pushing her into the dressing table without any explanation.

She bumped her lower back somewhere and felt a little pain, so she subconsciously frowned and exclaimed, “Your Ma…”

Before she could finish speaking, her mouth was blocked again – Qi Yang became surprisingly strong.

Lu Qipei was somewhat surprised, be she didn’t reject such strength. The impact on her lower back wasn’t that painful, so she simply said nothing. Even a while later, when Qi Yang’s kiss began moving downwards and a jade hand reached inside her clothes, Lu Qipei only stopped her and said, “Not here.”

Qi Yang raised her head and gave an aggrieved look. Lu Qipei couldn’t help looking away, then she brought her back to the bed with a blushing face…

When Zhi Ting finished sending the person who brought the greeting letter back and returned to the room, she was faced with a tightly closed door again. She went silent, then looked up at the sky outside and couldn’t help letting out a soft hiss – were these two planning to skip lunch as well!?

Author notes:

Zhi Ting (clicking her tongue): The Prince Consort is simply absurd!!

Lu Qipei (in tears): It’s not me! I’m not taking the blame!
