My Second Life in Another World

"Hmm, A storage ring?" Haru who was checking out the rings found that they were all storage rings that had many things in them. mana stones retrieved from the beast, herbs, clothes, weapons, and even food which was mostly preserved food, Though most of them had rotten. There was no money tho.

'Just how long has it been since these things were left in this forest,' Haru thought as he checked the weapons though most of them were chipped and had dried blood on them.

Haru understood that these were the weapons of the people who died in battle with the beasts, although Haru hasn't seen a human yet he realized that he should find some people soon considering how Raum got all of these from the corpses in the area, it means that humans frequently came here.

'It is a pity I didnt find a map,' Haru shrugged.

"Ok now let's have some breakfast first then we can continue," Haru said as he placed the small mountain in his inventory while wearing a storage ring on his ring pinkie.

'Seeing the number of these rings they seem to be the norm, if it is known that I have a skill like inventory in a new world it would be troublesome, I should be able to disguise it with this storage ring,' Haru thought while taking out a table and quick breakfast while giving fried food to Kurumi and Raum who absolutely loved it.

After the breakfast was done Haru placed the tent and the table in his inventory and then ran off towards the mountain range with Kurumi on top of his head and Raum flying above him.

Haru killed a few beasts that he came across on the path swiftly without any issues and zoomed through the forest.

It was almost late afternoon Haru was considering stopping for a bite but.....

CAW* CAW*

Raum's voice came from above signaling that he saw something ahead prompting Haru to extend his Kenbunshoku Haki further.

'It is a human,' Haru smiled as he had come in contact with someone and finally he could figure things out.

Haru quickly increased his pace because if he didn't reach there in time then….

'There are two beasts that are almost the power of 2 weaker National Rank Hunters there although a little stronger, that person is holding on but the situation looks tricky if I don't hurry,' Haru thought as he clicked his tongue in annoyance and ran at full speed.

Haru jumped from tree to tree and launched himself in the air as the forest ended and Haru looked at the vast green grasslands in front of him.

RAAAAWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRR*

But there wasn't much time for Haru to think as he saw two beasts that looked like two-legged dragon wyvern or serpent-like creatures with a rooster's head.

One of them blew had red and orange feather that was dead near the woman's foot as she looked exhausted while the other had white and blue feathers that was charging straight at the woman as if to swallow her whole.

If we go back a little in time when Haru hadn't arrived.

The red and blue beasts were in the sky as they dodged the arrows that were shot at them by the woman who was sweating and breathing unevenly. The expression on her face showed how exhausted she was but her eyes were as calm as a lake.

'I should've gone back yesterday night, I guess my luck runs out not that I had any in the first place,' The woman thought as she was thinking about how she had brought this situation on herself after not listening to the rumor from the adventurers about the beasts from the dept of the Beast Glades running amok.

She had just come out after conquering a dungeon and suddenly remembered a small errand she had to run in a mine near here. Who would've known that it would turn into this mess?

'Have I become too conceited in my strength?' The woman thought as she looked at the beasts open their mouths and poured out their Fire and ice breaths.

The target of their breath was this woman who possessed goddess-like beauty, She would surely gain a lot of attention if she walked on the streets with her looks alone. She had dark gray hair that reached her ankles but the hair was secured in a ponytail with a red ribbon and light blue eyes that had a calm look in them.

She was wearing a mixture of red and gold cloth and armor pieces that covered her chest, shoulders, and thighs with thigh-high boots, But her armor was too revealing showing off a lot of her sun-kissed skin and one could make out her curves easily. But her body and armor were smeared with dirt and blood at the moment as her breathing was uneven, She had a huge claw mark on her left shoulder with cuts on her body which bled profusely, It was clear that she was losing but her eyes didn't lose their calm.

The woman pulled her bowstring and aimed straight at the red beast while dodging the breaths coming her way.

BOOM* BOOM*

The Breaths landed on the ground and exploded as rocks and dirt flew in different directions.

"Even if I die I'll take one of you down, [Multi Arrows]" The woman said in a calm tone as if she was talking about someone else's life and not her own while she released the bowstring.

ZOOOM*

The arrow filled with mana tore the air apart and shot towards the beasts and quickly multiplied then fell on the beasts like a rain, both beasts dodged the arrows that were aiming at them but they didn't see another arrow being prepared by the woman who released it.

SPLASH*

RAWWWWWWWWRRRRR*

The red beast cried as the arrow blew apart one of his wings and the red beast plummeted to the ground.

BOOOM*

Its body landed on the ground and it felt a chill as it rasied its head to see the woman in front of him with a spear in her hand as she thrust forward while putting every bit of her mana into the attack.

"[Flame blast]" The woman shouted as the spear tip had a ball of fire that was about 2 meters in diameter and the spear landed on the head of the beast who wasn't able to react.

BOOOOOM*

With a loud explosion, a large amount of smoke and dust was kicked up with the head of the red beast missing and the Woman was panting while leaning on the spear. She had fully exhausted her mana and strength she had already used her potions and healing stones that she had.

The place where the woman was standing had a huge crater that was about 1 meter deep with deep cracks in the ground about 3 meters around them.

RAAAWWRRRR*

The blue beast shouted after it saw his partner killed and rushed at the woman with its mouth wide open as if he wanted to swallow her whole.

'Damn it,' The woman cursed in her heart but she kept her eyes on the beast without looking away.

Just as the blue beast was about 20 feet away from her. She saw something flash across her vision and…..

SPLASH* THUD*

Blood splattered everywhere as the head of the blue beast rolled on the floor followed by the body which landed on the ground with a heavy thud.

The woman saw the back of a person who was dressed in weird clothes and had long black hair with red at the tips.

"You alright?" The person turned around and asked her if she was fine, The woman was stunned as she looked at Haru. She had met many people from nobles to even royalty but she had never seen someone who had the looks like this fellow, even she herself who prided her looks felt pale in front of him.

But that wasn't what shocked her, The main reason was…

'He didn't even use mana? And I can't even sense his mana core, it surely can't be right?' The woman was stunned as she didn't even feel him using mana, not even a drop he didn't even strengthen his body with mana and killed that monster with only his physical power.

That monster was an S-Rank mana beast you know, how could she stay calm seeing it killed like it was nothing. She was having countless thoughts but the most important one was…

'Who is this person? He is almost like them,' The woman instantly remembered the six people who were chosen as the continent's strongest mages. She herself wasn't weak herself and had a silver core mage but those six were in a league of their own.

Haru tilted his head as he looked at the woman.

'Did she not understand me? But I understood her clearly though,' Haru tapped his chin as he thought about how things will get troublesome if they can't communicate.

'I won't be able to get any information this way, was it the system that translated her words for me?' Haru was in deep thought as he looked at the ground.

The woman who was in a daze shook her head.

"I am fine thank you for your help," She spoke in a gentle and measured tone.

'Oh looks like we can communicate,' Haru sighed in relive and walked over to the woman.
