My Second Life in Another World

We came out of the car and went towards the venue, Me and Jin-woo were swarmed by reporters as they asked us questions about the raid and the monsters. But the questions they asked the most were about my well-being as they saw me passing out. I told them not to worry about it and waved it off. Then we went towards the place where everyone was gathering.

We sat down as we saw Chairman Go giving a speech for those who have lost their lives on Jeju island after a 15-minute long speech everyone started to place white flowers to honor those who died. Many of their family members were present as they were crying.

After everyone else had their turn, I went last as I placed a white flower.

I heard the camera clicking as this was also being streamed online and the comments were filled with praises and worry about my health.

And to my dismay, I have a new epithet which is 'Emperor' the reason for this is my ability to knock out all the ants on Jeju island. The skill was even named as 'Presence of the Emperor.' I don't know what to say as the Association has made it official. I shook my head no point in crying over spilled milk. I'll at least change the name of the skill to Supreme king's color (Haoshoku Haki).

I answered a few questions and went back towards everyone who was gathering in one corner of the venue and Jin-woo was talking to Chairman Go.

I was standing with hae-in and Kanae who also attended this event with the Japanese hunters.

"So are you sure about this?" I asked both of them and they nodded with determination. I can't say no if they have made up their minds it will be an insult to them.

"Ok leave the rest to me," I said with a smile.

"What are you guys talking about?" Jong-in came towards us with a teasing smile as Yoon-ho followed him.

"Master Choi, I want to leave the guild," Hae-in said directly which caused Jong-in to freeze.

"W-what is this all of a sudden? Did something happen?" The always calm and collected Choi jong-in was flustered which caused Yoon-ho to laugh and Jong-in was glaring at me.

"It is you, who wants to steal our Hunter Cha." He said.

"I can't deny that," I said while smiling which caused Hae-in to turn a little red and stunned everyone who was listening and Jong-in was too stunned to talk and looked at hae-in and me as he sighed heavily.

"You two really….." he said while sighing.

"I will pay the fee for the contract breach," I told him.

"No need for that. Just take care of her. If you make her sad you should know you will get these hands." He said while shaking his head and looking at me.

"It won't come to that so don't worry. And you can ask for my help if you need it." I said as Hae-in was turning red beside me.

Jong-in looked down.

"Don't Worry your sacrifice will be remembered," Yoon-Ho said patting jong-in's shoulder which caused veins to pop on his forehead as he shouted.

"Yoon-ho." And they started fighting again. Everyone just ignore it and then Byung-gyu announced his retirement and said he won't come back again. Which caused him to receive a lot of criticism online for being a coward and all but many defended him saying that we have 2 powerful S-ranks so the country doesn't need to worry about much even if one S-rank retires.

I just shook my head as I said goodbye to everyone and said to Hae-in.

"Tomorrow. I'll meet you at 11 A.M." she nodded with a smile.

"Ok, bye," I said as I kissed her on her forehead and went back.

She was blushing when I turned around and saw her.

I smiled and went towards the fish that has been caught.

"Why don't you come out," I said as a young man with blue eyes and slick orange hair. He usually wore a blue business coat over a white dress shirt and a black tie.

"I didn't mean to hide." He said with a polite smile on his face.

"So who are you?" I asked him even though I knew who he was.

"Sorry for the late introduction my name is Adam white and I am the chief of the Asian Branch of Federal Bureau of Hunters. Nice to meet you, Mr. Tsugikuni Haru." He said in Korean while maintaining a polite smile.

"You are good at Korean," I asked him.

"Comes with the job, I suppose." He said.

I nodded and asked. "So what do you want from me?"

"We have some information to share with you, Sir." He said to me.

"And what would that be?" I asked.

"This isn't the appropriate place to talk about this. My superior David Brennon the Director of the Federal Bureau of Hunters wants to meet you Mr. Tsugikuni." He said.

"Ok, then I'll go," I said as I walked.

"Mr. Tsugikuni we have to go this way." He said as he followed me.

"Umm, I never said I will be going to meet him now did I?" I said while tilting my head as I walked towards the road.

"I guess in negotiation you shouldn't hide your trump card. Upgrader, Are you aware there is awakened who can elevate the abilities of the awakened?" he said with a smile as if he had me.

I guess we will know who is prey in a bit. Even though I don't need to go there I want to know what Norma selner will see inside me…

"Oho, now that's interesting. Lead the way." I said to him as I followed him.

After some time we arrived in front of a five-star hotel. I followed him and we arrived at the top floor and a stocky middle-aged man with light brown hair that he wears in a small ponytail, blue eyes, sideburns, and neatly trimmed beard. In his first appearance, he wore a simple white collared shirt and a pair of gray-beige pants.

"Hello, Mr. Tsugikuni my name is David Brennon I came here to meet you." He said as he extended his hand.

"Nice to meet you." I shook his hand as we sat down on the sofa.

I sat with my left leg crossed over my right. And asked.

"So what did you want to talk about?" I said as I looked at him.

"Ok, I'll get straight to the point. These are the immigration papers for America. If Hunter Tsugikuni signed this you will become a US citizen in less than a second." He said while showing me the documents.

"I thought you had some information for me?" I asked him.

He nodded and then called for her as a middle-aged woman with dark skin, curly black hair, and bright turquoise eyes. she wore a large hat and a cream-colored jacket over a white blouse and a business skirt.

"You can't believe it, can you?" she said.

"All the other hunters had your eyes at first. But, once you experience it... you'll have no choice but to cling to it."

She said with a smile.

"Why does it feel like you are selling drugs to kids on the roadside, and cheap ones at that," I said what was on my mind and….

"PFFTTT.X4" both David, Adam, and two bodyguards that were In the room laughed even though they tried to maintain their faces they couldn't and even Norma was dumbfounded as she looked at me with an open mouth.

Then she shook her head as she took a bite of the vanilla cake that was on the table. Then shook her head as she explained her abilities again. While saying that she will use it on me once as a gift.

"Please put your hand forward." She said and I followed she took my hand and held it with both her hands as her eyes glowed green in color.

I felt something invading my mind and moving around searching for something. And then she screamed.

"WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" and passed out as she was sweating buckets. And then she slumped on the sofa.

"Mrs selner X4" all the people looked at her with worry.

'What did she see that scared her this much. Even when she used her ability on Jin-woo she was still conscious at least and now…..'

"I-I am sorry this has never happened before I think she isn't feeling well, we will contact you some other time. Adam will see you out." David said as he looked at Adam who nodded and I followed him out. I was in the car home when I heard my phone ring.

"Hello, Chairman," I answered.

-"Hunter Sung has just entered a gate and It turned into a red gate." He went straight to the point.

"Ok thank you for telling me."

-"No problem okay then I have some work to do." He said as he ended the call.

I just shook my head as I went back home and saw jin-ah trying to make food for me.

I went and hugged her from behind as I placed my head on her shoulder.

"Why are you cooking all of a sudden?" I asked.

"Just felt like it." She said as kissed me on my cheek and started cooking again. After a while, the food was ready, and sat down and ate. We watched a movie at my house and then she went back to study.

Norma Selner POV

I was told by Director Brennon that we are going to pull a powerful hunter towards our country today. I agreed as I wanted my country to be safe. His name is Tsugikuni Haru he is a handsome young man from the photos I have seen and he is powerful enough to cause a debate over to make him a National rank hunter.

I went into the room and saw him.

'The camera doesn't do him justice. He is way more handsome in person.' I thought as I sat in front of him as I explained my abilities. He made a joke about it but I ignored it because he is so handsome.

I then held his hand and used my ability and I was sucked into a Red landscape with my footstep causing ripples on the water-like surface.

I looked around and saw a huge cage with a complicated paper sign on it.

"What is this Japanese or Chinese?" I thought but then.

"(What are you doing here human?)" A rather annoyed but soft voice was heard in my head and I was shocked as I around and then I saw inside the cage. I wasn't able to move as I stared at the creature in front of me. it opened its red eyes that had slits in them. The creature's eyes were bigger than me.

"(You shouldn't be here. Get lost before you die.)" an annoyed voice sounded in my head as my consciousness faded.

When I woke up I saw adam and director Brennon looking at me. as the director asked.

"What happened? What did you see?"

I tried to remember but nothing came to my mind I said.

"I don't remember," I said as I tried to remember and it caused me to shudder again as I felt my body getting weaker.

"Call the doctor." I saw Adam running outside as I lost consciousness again.
