The group rested for half a day.

After resting Might Dai was able to walk normally again and the group went on the road again to their final destination, Shuangyue Town in the Land of Grass.

There were no accidents all the way to the town.

"We thank the two of you for escorting us. This is your reward... and about not revealing the complete information about the mission. I deeply apologize!"

After arriving, Daisuke Urobe took out the promised 500,000 reward and gave it to Feng while bowing deeply.

Feng took the money from Daisuke Urobe and did a simple count as he nodded and said: "Then our mission is now complete."

Feng was about to split the rewards with Dai when his expression suddenly changed, he looked in a certain direction as his eyes flashed several times.

He stuffed the money directly into his pocket and said.

"Senior, let's go!"

As his voice fell, Feng immediately left.

Seeing Feng's reaction, Might Dai asked him: "What's the matter?"

Feng took a breath as they ran forward. He glanced at the small town behind them with a profound gaze, and said, "Ninja's, at least a hundred of them..."

Hearing Feng, Might Dai was shocked and said: "That many!? Are they from Hidden Grass?!"

"I don't think so."

Feng shook his head and said with deep eyes: "It doesn't feel like they're ninjas from Land of Grass, and there may be even more that was hiding...Senior, I think the war is about to begin."

After talking Feng activated his Double Speed state and quickly ran out of the town, when Might Dai saw this, he also opened the First Gate and chased after Feng.

The two quickly left the town and ran into the forest while jumping on the treetops. They couldn't help but look back as they could vaguely see a large number of figures pouring into the small town behind them.

Although they're already far away and couldn't see the appearances of these figures, they could still recognize their outfits. They're not ninjas from Hidden Grass Village, but Hidden Rock Village!

A large number of Rock ninjas poured into the town and took control of it for a very short amount of time. Although there are also ninjas from Hidden Grass Village, they're powerless to do anything.

Daisuke Urobe spoke with a trembling voice as he was taken away by a Rock Village ninja.

Standing in front of him was a sturdy looking ninja that raised a finger at him and said in a slightly threatening voice "No need to panic, we're just here to borrow your territory as our temporary camp for the incoming war."

War!!

Hearing this, Daisuke's Urobe face turned pale drastically.

People who have experienced the Second Ninja War knew what calamity it will bring, especially small countries like them who would be caught in the middle of it. Their territories would basically be the battlefields between the Major Villages, and all they could do is watch as their lands were destroyed because of the war.

"Master Hong, we've already taken control of the town."

A Chunin arrived and knelt down on one knee to the person in front of Daisuke Urobe.

Master Hong then slowly said: "Don't hurt too many civilians. We need their labor to prepare our camp."

"Yes."

The Chunin immediately sent the command.

Master Hong glanced at Daisuke Urobe who had a pale face, together with the high-level officials of Shangyue Town who had been captured, and waved his hand to bring them to their respective prisons.

At this moment, another Chunin arrived and said: "Reporting to Master Hong, there's still no news about them."

"How could that be possible?!"

Master Hong frowned and said: "The mission they received should've ended a few days ago. Continue the search and immediately notify me once you've found them, and also, tell them that they don't need to go back to the village to hand over their report. They should immediately come to our temporary camp and join the advance force."

"Yes!"

The ninja answered and disappeared quickly.

When Daisuke Urabe heard their conversation his eyes flashed as he vaguely thought of something. He glanced at Master Hong but eventually didn't say anything.

However, his actions were naturally seen by Master Hong, as an Upper Jonin that little reaction from him was immediately noticed.

"Hold it."

Master Hong stopped the ninja who was about to lock up Daisuke along with the others, but he suddenly looked at Daisuke Urobe and said, "What do you know?"

"No...nothing! I don't know anything..."

Daisuke Urobe tried his best to be calm.

Puchi!!

Blood splattered.

"Ahhhhh..."

A kunai pierced Daisuke Urobe's shoulders leaving a blood hole, as blood dripped down from his clothes. The severe pain made Daisuke Urobe's face turn pale.

"Still don't know anything?"

Master Hong played with the kunai in his fingertip as he said flatly.

Urabe Daisuke was holding the wound on his shoulder as cold sweat covered his forehead, and his body was trembling from fear as he said: "If...If you're looking for a team of ten people...they...they're all dead, they were killed by Konoha ninjas."

"Hmm?"

Master Hong's complexion suddenly changed.

He pointed the kunai in Urbe Daisuke's forehead, and he shouted: "Konoha? What do you mean Konoha Ninja?!"

A ten-man team that was led by a Jonin from HIdden Rock Village was annihilated by Konoha ninjas. This is an extremely critical piece of information, it just means that Konoha may also be planning on capturing the Land of Grass!

They may even be aiming for their advance force!

If their advance force was besieged from all sides by Konoha, then they would be in a huge disadvantage when the war starts

"Cough...cough...this is what happened..."

Urbe Daisuke's forehead was dripping with blood as the tip of the kunai was pointed at it. His voice was trembling as he opened his mouth and told them the events that happened at the river.

As he kept talking, Master Hong's expression turned into surprise.

The other Chunin next to him however showed a somewhat suspicious look. The ten man team was not ambushed by Konoha ninjas. It was them who set up an ambush but were killed instead by the two escorts from Konoha!

Are they supposed to believe this?!

That team's Jonin leader already has achievements close to that of Upper Jonins, and he was with nine other veteran ninjas that comprises of sensory and medical ninjas. Even if they encountered Konoha's ANBU, they could still fight them off.

But with the strength of only two people, that ten man elite team was killed without any survivors. They should've faced at least two elite Jonins from Konoha, or even one of the Legendary Sannins!

However.

The two Konoha ninjas described by Daisuke Urobe are neither of those!

They may not be able to remember every single Konoha Jonins, but the ranks of Upper Jonins are not that common so they should be familiar with all of them, but the two people described by Daisuke Urbe are completely unknown to them!
