9. IT’S GREAT THAT THEY’RE STILL

    ALIVE.

The deacons took a closer look and found that it was Bao Ye who jumped into the water before.

Although Deacon Zhu didn’t think that Bao Ye had such a great ability, he still felt that Bao Ye had played some tricks. He hurriedly asked, “Ugly slave, did you drag them into the water? What did you do to them?” Why haven’t they surfaced yet?”

Bao Ye leisurely walked onto the shore, while raising his hand to flip back the wet hair sticking to his face, his movements looked casual and handsome, but when the light shone on his face it became ghostly and terrifying.

He looked at Deacon Zhu with an innocent face: “I just used my actions to show them that I can live well without my elder brother taking trucke of me.”

In fact, he didn’t do anything, but he used a little divine power to speed up his swimming And pull everyone into the water at a high speed, a barrier was created on the river surface to prevent them from floating on the surface. When someone was about to die from breathlessness, the barrier would be automatically lifted.

Deacon Zhu: “…”

This slave is not as easy to bully as he was before.

At this time, there was a popping sound in the river, and the slaves who sank in the water returned to the surface  like dead fish.

“Cough, cough, cough…”

The slaves were suffocated and passed out.

Deacon Zhu hurriedly said: “Quick, save them.”

The deacons and the driver rushed into the water and dragged the unconscious slaves ashore, and then pressed their chest regularly with both hands for extratruckdiac compression.

After they became conscious, they sat down on the ground one after another, feeling very strucked, just now as desperate as they were they couldn’t get out of the water no matter what. The pain and burning sensation after the water entered the lungs, and the feeling that the brain was about to explode after the eardrums were filled with water still lingered in their hearts, making them tremble. It’s an experience they don’t want to happen second time.

Fortunately, when they were on the brink of their death, they finally surfaced.

It’s great that they’re still alive.

After Deacon Zhu and the others woke up the unconscious slaves, they ordered them to get into the truck.

When everyone saw Bao Ye sitting on the back of the truck, playing with the branches boredly, there was a wave of fear in their hearts. The previous incident must have something to do with this person.

“Ugly slave, you dragged us into the water, right?” Du Peng angrily ran up to Bao Ye and questioned him.

Bao Ye ignored him.

“You…”

“Everyone get in the truck.” Deacon Zhu interrupted Du Peng and drove everyone into the truck. On the way back, everyone was very quiet, except for Du Peng, no one dared to glare or despise Bao Ye.

After returning to the dormitory, Deacon Lin came over and asked Deacon Zhu, “Why are you back so late today?”

Deacon Zhu looked at Bao Ye, walked aside with Deacon Lin, and told him about the drowning incident. .

Deacon Lin frowned, not believing what he said: “You didn’t make a mistake?”

“The other slaves drowned, but he was fine. If it wasn’t him, who else could it be? Do you think he has awakened his divine power? ”

Deacon Lin sneered: “With his temperament, if he had awakened his divine power, he would have gone to test his divine power to see if he could meet the conditions to go to the Middle World.

Think true too, but then what happened at the river?

Although Deacon Lin didn’t quite believe what Deacon Zhu said, he still couldn’t help looking at Bao Ye.

Bao Ye took the dinner he got, then handed it to Jiang Yu, an old man next to him.

Jiang Yu was stunned.

Bao Ye said: “I came back after eating enough at the construction site, and I will give you this bowl of rice.”

Jiang Yu was afraid that he would play tricks again, so he hesitated for a while, but finally hunger overcame his doubts, and he took the bowl and quickly stuffed the whole meal into his stomach, and then finished his own portion.

The rice in the bowl was rough, with only a few green vegetables and a small spoonful of pickles to go with the rice, but he felt it was very fragrant. For low-level slaves, this was already the best meal, and it was also the most satisfying meal he had ever eaten since he was born.

Jiang Yu burped and put down the bowl and chopsticks contentedly, then saw Bao Ye looking at him with a smile.

Shocked, he hurriedly picked the bowl as a shield at Bao Ye.

“Are you full?” Bao Ye winked at him and said provokingly: “If you are full, you can do some physical work.”

Jiang Yu suddenly felt his chrysanthemum tighten, and threw a bowl at Bao Ye.

Bao Ye laughed and dodged the bowl.

The slaves in the shed heard the laughter and looked at them one after another.

As soon as nine o’clock came, the deacon turned off the lights and let everyone go to sleep.

Bao Ye had just crossed over and couldn’t adapt to the hard bed, and the quilt which had an unpleasant smell, so he couldn’t sleep no matter what, so he eavesdropped on the slaves whispering.

Everyone were talking about the topic of drowning today. Many people speculated that Jin Lingrui secretly pitted them, thinking that even though he severed ties with the ugly slave, but still secretly helped him.

The more Bao Ye heard the name Jin Lingrui, the surer he became that he had heard the name before, but he just couldn’t remember when.

The slaves chatted and gradually became sleepy, and soon fell asleep.

Unable to sleep, Bao Ye stood up lightly and walked out of the hut.
