Chapter 56: Make Sure You Take A Good Shot of Her

“Let’s see how tough you are. Take her out of here and do whatever you all want with her!” As He Rui commanded, a few burly bodyguards came up and apprehended Shen Chen by her hands.

Damn it! He got physical when he could not win the argument?

Shen Chen raised her leg and hit the bodyguard’s vital part in front of her.

That bodyguard’s face instantly twisted with cold sweating trickling down his forehead as he pressed his hands on his pants. He howled in pain.

Then came the cocking and loading of a pistol.

He Rui felt a metallic cold pressed against his temple. He was experienced enough to know that someone was holding his life at the fingertip. So he dared not move.

For a moment, all he heard were his own heartbeats.

The noble women and socialites saw this and screamed at the top of their lungs as it scared the hell out of them.

The crowd dispersed, afraid that they would get shot by any accidental discharge of the pistol.

Those bodyguards, who were still fearsome a while ago, backed down and freed Shen Chen as they retreated.

“Stand where you are.”

As the emperor-like man spoke, they suddenly felt weak at the knees and dropped kneeling on the floor.

Shi Ye let out a smile, a charming look glowing in his eyes, announcing his grandeur and elegance.

Xia An’an shook like a leaf as she dropped on the floor. “Please—please don’t—don’t kill him…”

Xia An’an’s voice displeased Shi Yu, who narrowed his eyes as he looked at her. “Don’t kill him? Then you should know what to do.”

“I—I know…” Xia An’an was petrified, lifting her hand and slapping herself on the face, one at a time.

Pan Yang, got caught in the crossfire, realized things had gone out of hand. His face was grave as he quietly retreated to about four meters away to call the police.

“Go now, An’an. Don’t worry about me…” He Rui still had his masculine ego as he apparently could not bear to see Xia An’an slapping her own face.

Go? Xia An’an knew very well that if she left, the consequences would only become worse.

She had no choice but to lower her head and continue slapping herself. Her face had swollen and reddened, yet she dared not stop.

The air temperature seemed to drop a few degrees instantly. People could feel a chill in the air even though it was in the middle of summer.

Shi Yu’s pompous and cold eyes landed on the few bodyguards.

“How dare you bastards lay your hands on my woman? I will cut off whichever hand of yours that touched her.”

His magnetic voice exuded a strong sense of intimidation.

People standing in the surrounding area held their breaths as they retreated, feeling fear and uneasy.

Shi Yu scanned those bodyguards with his cold eyes. “Are you waiting for me to do it personally?”

It scared the wits out of the bodyguards and they quickly begged for their lives. “Please forgive us, Young Master Shi. We didn’t know that it was you. It was our fault…”

“We are sorry. It was our fault—we will never do that again…” They kept slapping themselves on the faces, one slap harder than the next, as they begged for forgiveness.

The scene of a group of people kneeling on the floor, slapping themselves on the faces, looked strangely amusing.

Those rubberneckers knew what was at stake and who Shi Yu was. So no one dared to come forward to intervene.

Suddenly, a large group of reporters rushed in out of nowhere.

Bursts of flashlight filled the air with the continuous salvos of the shutters.

“Make sure you take a good shot of my woman.”

Shi Yu’s voice was lukewarm at best, which gave people a hard time gauging his state of mind.
