Chapter 60: I Return to My Home, You Return to Your Mom

“Dream on.”

The seemingly nonchalant voice possessed a kind of irresistible energy.

Shi Yu raised his hands, pulled the messy shirt over Shen Chen and then methodically did the buttons one by one.

If he was a cynical devil just now, then he was an elegant prince right now.

His every move spoke of gloriousness.

Shen Chen just shot him a cold glance, flipped over perfectly and came out from underneath him.

She took a dozen steps back until her back was against the cabin door to keep a safe distance from him.

When Shi Yu saw her actions, he was suddenly in a good mood. He looked at her banteringly as he turned around.

A bead of sweat trickled down from his hair onto his tanned chest, adding to his already evilly sexy look.

He was half-naked, his muscular body exposed in front of her, inviting reverie into people’s mind.

Inside the large aircraft cabin, the atmosphere was strangely quiet.

However, a loud bang broke the silence. Shen Chen had broken out of the cabin door with her leg, leaving without even looking back.

On the grass field outside, Sun Yan’s jaw dropped to the ground and his mouth twisted uncontrollably. He looked at the twisted metal of the cabin door. He swore that in the 28 years of his life, he had never seen a woman so arrogant as this one. She even broke the boss’s property.

Watching as Shen Chen walked away and slowly disappeared from his field of vision, Sun Yan came out of his daze. He threw a sympathetic glance at the cabin door before getting onboard the aircraft at once.

“Your clothes are inside the storage room. Would you like to take one out, Boss?”

“Mhm.”

With his permission, Sun Yan quickly went into the storage cabin and took out the clothes.

“What’s next, Boss?” he only asked after Shi Yu put on the shirt.

“Go to the Tang family.”

“Aye.”

The weather took a sudden change in the hot summer as dark clouds began to gather. The sky turned dark with lightning and thunder ensued. It was followed by a downpour.

Shen Chen had just left the island and was back in the city when the downpour caught her.

“Chenzi.”

Someone called out her name the moment she arrived outside her home.

Despite the loud whir of the heavy rain, she could still make out the voice.

Mu Bai was standing in the rain with a bouquet of blood-red roses in his hand. He was soaked from head to toe as his eyes reddened because of the rainwater.

Shen Chen smiled when she saw that. “What is this about?”

Mu Bai looked at her unblinkingly. His voice could never be hoarser. “Do you still remember what day is today?”

“I can’t remember.”

“August 8, the day our relationship started.”

“You are being funny or what?” She could not even remember when they were breaking off. Let alone revisiting the day they were first together.

The broader her smile, the more difficult it was for others to guess the state of her emotion.

“It is all right if you can’t recall, because from this moment onward, I am going to start courting you.”

The roses in Mu Bai’s hand had been battered by the rain with someone of the petals breaking off by the downpour—not entirely ruined but also not as pretty as before.

“Courting me?” Shen Chen raised her eyebrows. “Aren’t you afraid that you will infuriate your mom?”

“She has no right to tell me what to do.” Mu Bai sounded determined, as if he had made up his mind before coming here.

“Why weren’t you this steady back then? What’s the point of telling me this now?”

“Where were you when I was being harassed in the streets?”

“Let me make it clear one last time: you and I are not possible. Never, ever!”

“From now on, we go separate ways. I return to my house, you return to your mom.”

“Goodbye!”
