Chapter 33 - Full of Talent

Chapter 33 Full of Talent

After checking out the trainees in the club, Chen’an turned his attention to the coaches. Right now, there were three of them in the club, including Han Ya.

To his surprise, there was a difference in the levels of the three coaches!

(Level 8 Kickboxing Master (BOSS)]

(Health: 1700/1700]

[Skills:???]

(Note: Kickboxing Masters are decently accomplished in the sport. They can order lower-level kickboxing monsters around and even shout at them if desired. Please exercise caution when engaging!)

There were two such boxing instructors. Both of them were well-built men who looked like they could split someone’s skull open with a single merciless punch.

But Han Ya’s title was different:

(Level 10: Kickboxing Goddess (BOSS)]

[Health: 2500/2500]

[Skills:???]

(Note: Kickboxing Goddess has been accomplished in kickboxing since a young age and has undergone long-term training, as well as formal combat. Attacking her is extremely dangerous. If you must do so, please exercise caution!]

Han Ya was indeed fearsome if she had come in first runner-up in the city-wide tournament at 18-to think that her level exceeded that of the other two muscular coaches!

It was no wonder she was the top coach here.

“Why are you in a daze? Come with me to get your clothes and change.”

“Okay, I’m coming.” Chen’an came back to his senses and jogged after Han Ya.

Seeing that the two of them had gone to the changing room, the other trainees began to whisper to each other.

“Coach Han actually personally brought someone here. She’s never done that before!”

“I think that boy was wearing Shangke High School’s uniform. He should be her student in school.”

“That young man is so handsome. Could he be up to no good with me?” The formidable female tank was-inexplicably-worried.

Everyone moved aside silently, not wanting to burst her bubble.

Chen’an followed Han Ya to the men’s locker room. Since the trainees and coaches were already outside, the locker room was empty.

“Here, change into this set of clothes.” Han Ya took out an unopened bag of clothes from a cabinet at the door of the changing room and tossed it to Chen’an. He opened the bag and examined its contents: a loose sportswear set with the words ‘Jin Ya Freestyle Fight Club’ printed in front.

“If you feel hot later, you can take off your shirt. Trainees normally go shirtless during kickboxing matches anyway.”

Chen’an nodded, before his mind suddenly went blank. Casually, he asked, “What about the women?”

(Warning! You have been targeted by Kickboxing Goddess. Your opponent is about to attack. Please exercise care when defending!)

Chen’an’s expression faltered. Before he could defend himself, a force collided with his head, and sparks exploded across his vision.

[You received a blow from Kickboxing Goddess. Current Lifeblood: -60]

Dammit! He was nearly killed on the spot!

Chen’an broke out in a cold sweat. That was a close shave. This level of damage was ridiculous-it was comparable to that of ‘Alpha Athlete’ during gym class!

“What are you talking about, brat? How can the women possibly go topless too?” Han Ya rolled her eyes.

Chen’an rubbed the top of his head and smiled apologetically at Han Ya, not at all eager to suffer another one of her blows.

“I’m going out. Come out as soon as you’re dressed. We have no time to waste.”

She walked out, and Chen’an quickly took the opportunity to use two mini health potions from his inventory. They could be removed and drunk as liquids, or used directly in the inventory. Seeing that his Lifeblood had decreased by 60 drops, Chen’an chose the latter option.

His Lifeblood gradually restored itself, and he sighed in relief.

That punch from Han Ya had lent a whole new meaning to the term ‘killing blow’. If she

sed just a little more force, he would be dead by now!

“The BOSS is too difficult to fight. I have to think of a way to start with the little monsters.”

He contemplated what to do as he changed. In no time, he was standing in his baggy sportswear. Honestly speaking, after wearing the school uniform, he wasn’t used to wearing sweatpants that left his crotch area feeling so breezy. He had stripped off his underwear to prevent it from becoming damp with sweat, so he could be completely fresh-smelling after showering later.

When Chen’an came out of the changing room, Han Ya was already waiting for him in the small arena with her boxing gloves on.

“Put on the protective gear over there. I want to test the effects of your physical training over the past few days.” She pointed to the protective gear beside her.

(Warning! Kickboxing Goddess has entered teaching mode. You will be forced into a defensive state. In this state, the protective ability of your equipment will be doubled.] Oh, for crying out loud. Chen’an barely stopped himself from releasing a string of curses.

After all that effort to unlock this dungeon, he had to receive a beating from the BOSS first? What kind of lousy system was this?

His heart began to pound as he looked at Han Ya, who was practicing her punches in the arena. She was obviously about to unleash a beating onto him; he didn’t know what paltry defense he was capable of mounting in this state. What if he was instantly killed by her?

Just as Chen’an was worrying, Han Ya urged him again. “Hurry up. You’re dawdling like a woman.” She beckoned him forward with one hand-already wearing her boxing gloves.

Chen’an had no choice but to put on his protective gear and step into the arena. He had already thought it through: if the mini health potions in his backpack weren’t enough, he would immediately stop Han Ya and buy the spare potions from the system store.

Even if it meant draining all his spare Lifeblood, he had to survive the BOSS’ attack!

“Get ready,” Han Ya warned. “I’m going to attack.”

Chen’an was no longer distracted.

“Come on! I can take it!”

Without wasting a breath, Han Ya threw a punch directly at Chen’an’s arm guard. She seemed a little off-target; he carefully moved his arm so it caught her punch head-on.

There was a dull thud. Chen’an felt a slight tremor in his arm before it disappeared.

[You have been attacked by Kickboxing Goddess. Current Lifeblood: -5]

He didn’t expect the protective gear’s damage reduction to be so impressive!

Han Ya looked at him in surprise. “You noticed the trajectory of my punch on your first try?”

Chen’an nodded. “More or less.”

In his defensive state, his equipment lent him twice as much protection as usual. He had 8 points of Spirit; with the 2 additional points provided by ‘Cao Zhijiang’s Lesson Notes’, that was 10 points in total, the maximum ability of an ordinary adult!

It greatly heightened Chen’an’s focus, along with his sharpened reflexes from his 9 points of Agility. Han Ya’s punches weren’t fast enough to catch him off-guard. At least he could adjust his bearing while she was throwing her punches, allowing her to hit the center of his arm guards as much as possible.

Chen’an’s answer made Han Ya’s eyes light up; she suddenly realized that Chen’an might be even more full of talent than she had imagined!
