Cause Him to Die Too (1)

Teacher Huai watched as Ruan Qingmu walked out, feeling uneasy at heart.

This underachiever from Class 9 not only chose the competition class for all three subjects, but he also always sat near Qin Yuan during every class. What kind of situation was this?

She turned her head and looked at Qin Yuan. “You’re the same. Go back and write a self-reflection letter, then hand it in. You also need to have a little consciousness. The sophomore year is the most important period to concentrate your effort. Use your energy to study and don’t randomly befriend a bad friend.”

Ruan Qingmu stood in the doorway and turned his head to look at them.

Qin Yuan lowered his eyes; his thin eyelids drooped indifferently. He didn’t say anything.

“In the future, don’t approach other classes when you attend physical education class. Remember to change your seat when you go to the competition class.” Teacher Huai’s voice became softer. “Ignore some remedial students. They will lead you to be crooked.”

Old Jian’s face turned a little ugly. He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but Ruan Qingmu in the doorway had turned his body.

His voice was very respectful. “Teacher, what is the standard for a remedial student?”

Teacher Huai indifferently said, “I teach English. In my eyes, everyone is considered a remedial student if their English grades aren’t within the top 100 in the year.”

Qin Yuan slightly knitted his brows and gazed at the teacher before him. “Teacher, this isn’t the standard for a remedial student.”

Ruan Qingmu stood there and suddenly smiled. “English? Isn’t that the easiest one to learn?”

Teacher Huai’s face was full of fury and contempt. “English is easy to learn? Who gave you this kind of misconception?”

She patted the teaching plan in her hand. “I’m telling you, English isn’t just about memorizing vocabulary. Reading, listening, grammar, fluency; not a single one is dispensable. Forget about it; you won’t understand anyway.”

Ruan Qingmu thought for a while. “Teacher, I still think that English is the easiest to learn. How about I get my English grades to enter the top 100 on this semester’s midterm exam;  what do you think?”

Teacher Huai smiled angrily. “Is that so? Then how much did you get in this school preliminary mock exam?

Ruan Qingmu rubbed his nose. “There is a little abnormality this time, 53 points.”

A full mark was 150. In fact, it was implausible to be that bad. But the main thing was that he didn’t even do the papers during the exam and only focused on patronizing Liu Jun with the slingshot…..

The teachers pricking their ears up to listen to the excitement in the office were amused. “Hahaha. Old Jian, this student from your class is ambitious.”

“Teacher Huai, don’t be angry. Although English is difficult to learn, it’s indeed a little bit easier than our math, physics, and chemistry.”

Teacher Huai became angry, and she turned her head to look at Old Jian. “Teacher Jian, your class’ sports representative has such a big mouth!”

Old Jian’s thick-skin turned red. He looked at Ruan Qingmu, and exerted all his strength to wave. “You, ah. You, ah. Don’t talk nonsense. No course is easy to learn, understand?”

“No, ah.” Ruan Qingmu looked at him; his gaze was even more sincere. “Chinese is also easy to learn. I will also get in the top 100 for you.”

Old Jian, “…..”

Before, he was worried that this child was closed off and reclusive. Now, why did he suddenly dislike him for talking too much and angering people into having a heart attack?
……

Qin Yuan walked out of the administrative building. He stood still in the corner of the shade and talked with a low voice on his phone.

“Senior sister, have the things I asked to borrow from you yesterday arrived?….. Have you brought it to the school building? Okay, I’ll go get it immediately.”

A girl’s gentle and sweet voice came from the phone. “Okay. But it’s a bit worn, and there are a lot of notes written on it. Is that okay?”

Qin Yuan’s voice was very soft. “This is the best. Senior sister, your notes will surely be very helpful. Thank you. I’ll invite you to drink tea next time.”

Hanging up the phone, he stepped out from the corner with quick steps and ran toward Ruan Qingmu, who was waiting not far away.

The outside was stiflingly hot and dim. Walking on the boulevard on the campus, there was no wind, but cicadas the chirping sound of cicadas could be heard.

Qin Yuan suddenly said, “You’re not joking, right?”

Ruan Qingmu knew what he wanted to ask and smiled. “Not joking. It’s only for two courses; can’t I keep up for half the semester?”

Qin Yuan didn’t utter a word.

If he wasn’t mistaken, he also heard Fu Songhua saying two days ago that although Ruan Qingmu’s grade was at the bottom of Class 9, his overall points last semester probably ranked around 500th of the total of more than 600 students in their year.

In any case, this person never said anything serious from his mouth.

“I’m also not stupid.” Ruan Qingmu smiled. “Do you know? I used to be praised from childhood into adulthood.”

Qin Yuan indifferently looked at him. “Praising your ability to fight?”

There was a slight proud look on Ruan Qingmu’s features. “It’s only natural to be able to fight. Most of them praised that I’m innately intelligent, endowed with natural talent, etc.”

Qin Yuan gave him a deep look.

“Hey, believe in it, ah. It’s the truth.” Ruan Qingmu grinned. His eyes appeared to be very clear. “I’m quick at studying something like this. My master and teacher all praised me that I can breakthrough quickly and could learn a thing from another thing.”

Qin Yuan was at the end of his patience. “Master and teacher? Did you attend a private school?”

“Right. I used to learn about the four arts, martial arts, and various studies from outstanding people that were specifically invited to teach me.”

Qin Yuan coldly lowered his eyes. “Why don’t you study liberal arts? You can consider writing an internet novel in the future.”

Ruan Qingmu laughed heartily; his smile contained a trace of mischief. “Then, I’ll write one in the future and use your name for the protagonist, Qin shaoxia?”

Qin Yuan had a ‘too lazy to care about you’ expression. After quite a while, he said, “You don’t even have textbooks.”

“My class monitor had helped me to ask, saying that there isn’t an entire set of the teaching materials available for the time being and asked me to wait a few days. It’s not urgent.”

Qin Yuan hesitated for a while and lowered his voice. “If you really want to study, you can first make up for the foundation. It’s not necessarily too late for now. But it’s best to go to the standard class, after all the levels there…..”

Ruan Qingmu’s smile disappeared. “Oh, you have said this many times. I will definitely go after a month. No need for you to drive me away.”

Qin Yuan was silent for a moment, then softly said, “I don’t mean that.”

“I understood. Your class teacher had said, don’t make friends with a remedial student.”

Qin Yuan patiently stopped his step. “You don’t need to take her words seriously. I won’t care about it either.”

Ruan Qingmu tilted his head and carefully looked at him. His gaze was distant and seemed to pass through his pupils as if seeing a distant place.

“No problem, I’m not really angry. I just feel that it’s quite interesting. Do you know?” He carelessly pointed with his crutches on the ground. “I’ve heard that the rich and poor can’t be friends. I’ve heard that good and evil can’t coexist together. I’ve just unexpectedly learned today that test scores are also a criteria for a relationship in this world.”

Qin Yuan quietly walked. The shades of the trees on the roadside fell on his face, making him look mottled and estranged.

The flowers of the acacia tree in front of the cultural and sports building in the distance had withered. They no longer looked as splendid as brocade when full of flowers, but the canopy still looked like the bluish-green cloud, exceptionally still and gentle.
