Wrapped in a bath towel, she left the bathroom in a muddle. She could not find the cocktail dress she was wearing yesterday. All that remained was a light blue and yellow, puff-sleeved, Chanel dress in her size.

She was neither in the mood nor had the time to give it more thought. Changing right into the dress, which was fortunately not too revealing, it concealed those marks perfectly.

Furtively, she left the hotel room. She kept her head down the entire time as she hurriedly left the hotel.

She and Ji Jingfeng settled on meeting at the intersection. Ji Anning hailed a cab and alighted at the designated spot.

The weather in Ocean City was lovely and warm. Verdant trees lined both sides of the road.

A relaxing breeze blew gently against the skirt of her dress.

The sound of an approaching vehicle came from behind her and as she turned leisurely to look, her skirt spun. The hair on her forehead was caught and teased by the wind. Her fine hair tickled her flawless ivory face.

A black Maserati carefully made its way towards her from behind.

The car window was open. A man sat quietly behind the steering wheel. His white shirt accentuated the immaculateness of his striking features.

At a glance, it was an elegant sight to behold.

She could even faintly make out… that familiar aroma ever so gentle yet refined.

At the sight of the Maserati disappearing into the distance, an imperceptible smile surfaced on Ji Anning’s mouth.

Under the golden morning rays, it was a smile with mixed emotions.

That arrogant fellow is back. The real Satan is back.

Three years was not as long as it seemed.

She stared, so engrossed that she failed to notice when a white Audi pulled up next to her.

‘Beep’.

The person in the car horned her. Startled, Ji Anning came to herself and veered her eyes towards the car beside her.

A head craned out from inside the vehicle to reveal a still youthful and stunning face. He smiled apologetically, “Anan, you must have waited for a long time.”

Ji Anning looked at Ji Jingfeng a little evasively out of guilt. She subconsciously lowered her head and shook it gently. “No, I haven’t.”

Last night, her virginity was taken away by an unknown man.

How was she going to face Ji Jingfeng, her childhood friend, fiancé and future husband?

The man who once saved her life…

She neither had the courage nor cheek to face him.

“What were you looking at just now? You were so absorbed.” Ji Jingfeng leaned his arm against the car window. Tilting his head sideways, he smiled gently at Ji Anning as he observed her.

His gaze made Ji Anning fearful of looking up and making eye contact. She shook her head gently, “No, I wasn’t…”

After replying to Ji Jingfeng, her eyes spontaneously turned to the front again. The black Maserati had turned on the corner and disappeared.

She then reached out to open the car door and got into Ji Jingfeng’s car.

The car steadily drove into the luxurious courtyard. At its center stood a fountain, which had not been turned on in around three years. Layers upon layers of water were now cascading down from it. A sight so divine it rivaled fairies tossing flowers.
