Chapter 52: His Intentions

Feng Sujin stretched her hands out carefully and touched it as if she was touching a treasure. She looked at it and suddenly tears filled her eyes. She didn’t know why but she always cried so easily in front of Jun Mohan.

Jun Mohan wiped her tears away lightly, “Aren’t you happy? Why are you crying?”

Feng Sujin sobbed, “I am, thank you.”

“Idiot, there’s no need to thank me. Don’t cry if you are happy, they’ll think I’m bullying you!”

Feng Sujin’s lips curved upwards and wiped her eyes roughly with the back of her hand, “You aren’t bullying me. You gave me a home, a real home.”

In fact, a man who was willing to marry you would put great faith and sincerity in you. She had mentioned a marriage certificate to Lan Beichen quite a few times yet he always found all sorts of excuses to avoid the matter, he even dragged the wedding on and on. Now she finally understood Jun Mohan’s goodness and his good intentions.

“No one will dare to bully you in the future, but you can bully others.”

Feng Sujin was extremely touched as she hugged Jun Mohan’s neck, leaned on his body, and continued to cry.

Jun Mohan patted her back, “I’ll only allow you to cry once today, don’t cry in the future. My wife should smile more.”

“I won’t cry anymore. I will work hard and be strong to be a good wife.”

On the other side, after Feng Sujin hung up on Lan Beichen, he couldn’t come to his senses for a long time as her words struck him like lightning.

She’s married?

How is that possible?

Lan Beichen couldn’t believe it no matter what. With House Feng’s current situation and Feng Sujin’s reputation, who was willing to marry her? He recalled the man who drove a high-end car at the hospital. The man looked extraordinary; did he not know about her situation?

No, Lan Beichen didn’t want to believe that Feng Sujin had left him and found someone better. Hence, he refused to believe her and thought that Feng Sujin had found someone to agitate him.

Not long after they hung up, he received Liu Shiya’s call.

Lan Beichen’s voice immediately softened, “Shiya, what’s wrong?”

“Beichen, I just called you but it didn’t go through. Are you resting?”

Lan Beichen heard the question and felt strange, but he explained in an indifferent voice, “I’m not. I was just calling a customer. Why are you still awake? Not feeling well?”

“No, I just miss you. I’m in front of House Lan.”

Lan Beichen immediately jumped up from the chair and rushed to the window. As expected, he saw a thin person standing not far by the gate. Lan Beichen didn’t have time to think about other things, he couldn’t bear to see Liu Shiya standing in the autumn wind.

He headed outside without hesitation but unexpectedly saw his grandfather in the living room.

His grandfather looked at him strictly, “It’s late, where are you going?”

House Lan’s upbringing was strict. They must return home early at night, they mustn’t stay out overnight, and they mustn’t go out in the middle of the night. Because of the strict rules, Lan Beichen had been clean all his life — he’d never have a sexual relationship with a woman without marrying her.

“Grandpa, I need to head out for something, I promise I will be back.”

“What’s important enough to make you run out in the middle of the night? Beichen, how did your I, your grandpa, teach you? You are losing your sanity?!”

Lan Beichen panicked, “Grandpa, to be honest, a friend is waiting for me outside.”

“Tell me that it’s not a woman!”
