Chapter 27

11-14 minutes 28.05.2023

Alessio didn’t know anyone was messaging him. He had Ellie set up blocking stranger’s messages for him. He hadn’t thought about socializing either. He only recently added wolf cub and Lucy, and wolf cub’s caretaker, Darf as friends.

Oh yes, and Zhu Heng, who was although suspicious but a person Alessio had no ill feelings towards.

“Alessio.” Zhu Heng smiled and straightened up; he had just been looking at the tongue coating of a fallen angel and had stopped his work when he saw Alessio.

“Today is the last day, isn’t it? How are the new home preparations going?”

“It’s ready for people to live in, but there are a few things that are being purchased that will arrive today and tomorrow.” Alessio sat down and pulled out his previous medical form, “Ellie came over this morning, and had a live broadcast.”

“I watched it.” Zhu Heng smiled, then his expression became slightly serious as he stroked the head of the young fallen angel who was sitting in the chair, secretly peeping on Alessio.

“Hate will never blossom …… I think it’s quite right.”

Alessio looked up at him, not knowing why Zhu Heng, who had probably secretly defected to the Temple of this era, would say such a thing. Perhaps the Temple’s method of concealing emotions was too good, or perhaps it was because the look on his face at the moment was so sincere that Alessio couldn’t even think of a retort.

“Congratulations for moving into your new home. I’ll give you something as a gift.” Zhu Heng smiled, “I don’t know much about anything else, but how about a first aid kit, plus some kitchen utensils?”

In this era, it seemed to be the custom to add something to a friend’s new home. Alessio was stunned, thinking that he had never been in a kitchen before, and was about to shake his head when he heard Zhu Heng say.

“Why don’t you ask your housemate? It’s your shared house, after all.”

Ask the psycho? Alessio was just about to say something when Zhu Heng smiled and shook his head.

“Alessio, knowing how to ask each other’s opinions is the only way to get along, so why not just ask? Communication is so advanced now.”

At Zhu Heng’s insistence, Alessio sent a message to psycho.

Alessio: Dr. Zhu wants to send a first aid kit and some kitchen utensils, do you want them?

Ruzius: Yes, the pan should be of this brand.

Then a quick screenshot was sent over.

    Alessio: ????

Alessio: Regardless of how big of a face you have to specify the brand for other people’s gifts, you can’t even cook, so why put kitchenware in the house?

The other person obviously didn’t even listen to the first half of his sentence, or didn’t really care about his face. He sent a few more screenshots detailing the brand of the kitchen utensils, which was very thoughtful of him to the gift giver, before finally replying slowly to the second half of Alessio’s sentence.

Ruzius: Who says I can’t cook?

Alessio: !!!

Ruzius: That was my course.

Is the Temple training Hunters or brides …… Alessio’s heart was filled with the desire to ridicule. He stared at the screen for a moment and slowly looked up.

“Dr. Zhu, he said he wants it. He had sent a few brand’s screenshots for you.”

Zhu Heng couldn’t help but laugh and said with a good temper that he would place his order today. A medical staff came over to say that a young Siren was showing signs of coughing and breathlessness and needed him to come over. He stroked the fallen angel’s head again, then took two candies out of his pocket, one for the fallen angel who had obediently finished his examination, and one for Alessio.

“Here, go ahead and get checked.”

The golden candies seem to be a symbol of the Medical Department. Alessio still had two in his coat pocket that he hadn’t eaten, and now he couldn’t resist unwrapping this one, which tasted sweet and orange in his mouth.

This day was particularly busy, with Alessio doing examinations and signing some supplementary contracts. In the late afternoon, Ellie brought some of the previous support items to his room, which included several flower baskets and a banner. The banner looked familiar to Alessio, so he picked it up and read the words “Long live the Great Vampire”.

Ellie asked if he could take a few photos, as there was something in the Center that needed publicity, and Alessio agreed.

Ellie, the @vampirecaretaker: looking forward to a new life.

Photo

.

The accompanying picture shows the vampire leaning against the window, with a basket of multi-coloured roses on a round table beside him. He looked serene and gentle as he dropped his eyes to the gold and red banner he held in his hands.

Ahhhh, the banner was delivered to Xixi ahhh

.

I took part in the crowdfunding banner

The Dark Creatures Conservation Centre also quickly forwarded the post and the comments section was full of well wishes for Alessio and ……

Jealousy for Ruzius who was about to move in with the vampire cutie.

Sour, more sour than pickled cucumber wu wu wu!

History book is so lucky. I also want to live with Xixi and wrap my arms around his waist every morning and say good morning ……

Pa’! Wake up upstairs!

Pa! We gotta be equal!

Ruzius, who was brushing up on his posts, felt offended by the thought of the symmetrical bruises on his face.

As soon as he opened the door, the vampire next door heard the commotion and poked his head out.

    “Going to sleep?”

    “…… hmm.”

“Wait for me.” Alessio went in and got a blanket. Then came out holding the blanket, optical computer, wireless headphones, snacks and other odds and ends and said to Ruzius, “let’s go.”

Ruzius subconsciously thought about the phrase “get up every morning” and he immediately pressed the thought down.

“What are you going to do?”

“To observe the quality of your sleep.” Alessio felt that he was simply worried , luckily the psycho’s eyes hadn’t suffered much damage and a few drops of eye drops would allow him to recuperate, but it had been seven days since he’d (Ruzius) been able to sleep, and he (Alessio) mused that he’d knock the other man (Ruzius) out if he couldn’t.

Off course, Ruzius also sensed his dangerous thoughts, but he took a deep breath and thought that it might not be a bad idea.

Ruzius once again lay down in the coffin, where the roses had been trampled on several times and still managed to stubbornly spread in the bottom of the coffin. Because they were magical roses, they had an almost mattress-like texture when spread together. He closed his eyes just to hear the faint sounds of the vampire cracking potato chips in his ears. He thought he would have more trouble falling asleep, but who would have thought that as soon as he closed his eyes, his tired spirit would immediately sink into the embrace of the Dream God.

There was a cacophony of voices, people saying things to him, shadows of moving figures, everything was a dusky, dim yellow, and black names with identical faces were flying around. He caught one and saw that it was “Alessio”.

When he caught the name, it was like triggering a switch. The swaying of the figures accelerated, the murmurs turned into loud shouts and roars, everyone wanted to instill something into him, and countless hands reached out, trying to him to drag him down.

    Dim, noisy, suffocating ……

“Psycho …… Ruzius! Having a nightmare? Huh I was about to fall asleep ……”

Alessio’s voice came in and a drop of ink suddenly fell on the dimly lit sky of his dream, the ink expanded and the scene in his dream transformed into a clear moonlit night. He stood in the shallow, knee-deep water, and on the shore the vampire gazed at him with deep rose-coloured eyes, as if from a floating fairy land of elves.

Hello, my playmate.

The vampire clearly enunciated each word, not at all frivolous.

Suddenly he was at peace and could continue to dream.

Alessio saw the Saint in the coffin look calm again and hesitated for a moment, but in the end did not continue to wake him up. He had just been happily munching on potato chips and browsing videos, when there was a thud in the coffin, scaring him so much that he almost dropped his optical computer. At first glance, it seemed like the psycho was having a nightmare, so he decided to wake him up, but now he didn’t have to anymore.

He struggled a little to close the coffin board again. Now he deeply regretted why he had removed the revolving lid. In contrast, how convenient the revolving lid was! For this one he still has to align the edges himself. It’s not easy to press the lid back on, it’s always prone to being crooked.

After tossing and turning for a while, and not daring to make too much noise, Alessio got angry and simply left the coffin lid tilted. He himself felt sleepy and fell asleep directly on the coffin board.

His optical computer was still on.

Ellie: Are you still awake, Alessio? Mr. André wanted to send you some electronic equipment, but the message was rejected by you.

Ellie: Cold and heartless Alessio 23333

Ellie withdrew a message.

Ellie: Looks like he’s asleep.

No more messages were sent. The optical computer slowly went out, and the sleeping vampire seemed to have had a dream of stars and moon.

Of course, it would have been better if the dream hadn’t included that psycho.

The morning light was blocked by heavy curtains, but Ruzius woke up on time, in accordance with his biological clock. It had been so long since he had slept so soundly that even he lingered for a while before slowly opening his eyes.

The coffin boards were not properly covered, so he heard the sound of the Vampire’s breathing. The sound of breathing was very close. When he looked towards the place, as expected he saw the collar of the vampire, as if he had fallen asleep directly over the coffin.

    He felt very peaceful inside.

He touched the notebook that had once belonged to him, and it seemed like there was another page to open. With just a little light, he flipped through the contents of his notes, and sure enough, it was the memory he recalled from his dream, the moonlit night, the golden deer and the vampire. His eyes settled on the last sentence.

For some reason, at that moment, I felt a great pain in my left eye.

    “……”

He lowered his eyes and decided to get out of the coffin, a move that was destined to be a little difficult given that the vampire was still lying on the coffin. The revolving lid was broken again. Ruzius could only slowly lift the coffin board and gently move it backwards at an angle, hoping to wake Alessio in the process.

Alessio, however, was so deep in sleep that he only felt a vague sensation of friction and tugging on his face against the coffin board, but he was not yet awake. The pulling sensation became more and more obvious, and suddenly something tilted violently under his face. He felt his head suddenly go up and then down, knocking hard against the hard edge of something.

    “Dong!”

    There was a deathly silence.

Dazed by the knock, Alessio raised his head against the red mark on his head, with hazy drowsiness still in his eyes. The sound of the coffin board falling buzzed in his head as he slowly looked towards the Saint who had already sat up in the coffin.

    The Saint’s expression was calm.

“Can you help me pick up the coffin board? It fell over there.”
