The Father of American Comics Superheroes

Chapter 8: Are you happy? (22)

Logan took a shower and changed into Mike’s clothes before walking out of the bathroom.

“Yeah, I am very energetic!”

Mike smiled at Logan, and Clark nodded like a small adult, then said in a somewhat tangled voice, “Dad, is he still a pervert with his clothes on?”

Logan showed his teeth to Clark and made a fierce face, hugged Clark and said, “If you talk nonsense again, I’ll eat you!”

Clark clenched his fist and said, “I’m not afraid!”

“Ah!”

Logan yelped in a fake vicious way.

The evil wolf growled!

Clark laughed out loud instead.

“Clark, call Uncle Logan.”

Clark answered and said, “Uncle.”

Logan grinned, kissed Clark’s little face, and said, “That’s the happiest thing that’s happened to me in days.”

“There’s more fun to come later.”

Mike knocked on the table.

Logan’s eyes lit up, his heart vaguely anticipating ……

An hour later……

Logan crouched expressionlessly outside Mike’s warehouse, holding tools to fix up the hole Clark had knocked out.

His expectation is finally paid wrong ……

I was pitted by Mike, it must be!

Sighed, squinted at Clark squatting beside himself, said mildly: “You want to help me? Kid?”

Still Clark had a heart.

Clark shook his head and said, “My dad asked me to see the consequences of impulse.”

“Didn’t you knock that up?”

Logan snapped his face up.

Clark nodded embarrassedly at the ground beneath his feet and said, “Yeah, so my dad let me see impulsive actions and the trouble it brings to others. Let me think carefully before doing things in the future.”

Logan froze, touched Clark’s head and said, “You have a good father, what else did your father say?”

Clark thought about it and said, “He said let me ask you if you are happy!”

I’m happy!

Logan cursed in his heart, had the urge to give Mike a few strokes with a sharp claw, turned his head to Clark and said, “I take back what I just said, your dad is an asshole!”

Take a deep breath ……

“Fart!”

Cursing lowly, Logan continued to fix up the wall.

In the evening, when Logan fixed the wall, carrying tools back to Mike’s house, after seeing the table of dishes, suddenly felt that this afternoon’s wall was not in vain.

“It looks delicious!”

Logan complimented as he sat down.

“My dad cooks delicious food!”

Clark did not hesitate to compliment himself, learning from the rooster on the farm, proudly lifted his chin.

Mike laughed, gently patted Clark’s head, and said, “Eat!”

A few moments later, full of wine and food, Logan picked his teeth, looked at Clark and said, “Your kid is a mutant?”

“No, he’s just a little strong.”

Mike said vaguely.

Logan didn’t press the issue and asked rhetorically, “What about you?”

“I’m not.”

“You ……”

“Logan.”

Interrupting the other man’s words, Mike smiled and said, “Can I ask what kind of trouble you’re in?”

Logan was silent, remembering his own experience, opened his mouth but could not say, then shrugged and said, “I see.”
