This TL is a very literally person so please help me understand the part where Chu Qianli said “all of He Shichen’s income in the next 17 years.” How is that possible for anyone to hand over every dime that they make? B.F. Skinner said that if you are alive, you will need to spend money… Okay, he didn’t exactly say that, but you get the idea.

I mean, he will need money, even if he is to live a humble life. Technically, their term was “every dime that he made”. There was no mentioning of “minus basic expenses.” So was he supposed to live off of his parents for basic expenses? Right now they are in high school and they probably get allowances from their parents. Say the parents even pay for their colleges, but 17 years will put He Shichen in his 30s…… How does 0 income work? O.O
