The week for the entrance exams was finally over.

Some students were joyful, feeling as if they had passed and some others were full of sorrow, as if they had failed the exam. Overall, a distracting and fussy atmosphere roamed in every corner of the school. Now that there was no need to take classes anymore, prospective graduates were busy preparing for college or checking out prospective dormitories.

However, John’s daily life, as he didn’t have to take the test, hadn’t changed much. The only change was that the scheduled meeting with the GOFIE staff was postponed indefinitely. Sam looked cautious, when John said that he couldn’t do the interview right now.

‘And you can’t tell me the reasons?’

‘That’s…’

‘If you’re in trouble, you don’t have to force yourself to say it. However, John, it’s not easy to get this chance. If you really want it, you have to hold onto it with all your might, so tell me whenever you change your mind.’

‘Thank you, Sam, and I’m sorry to disappoint you.’

‘Don’t, John. I’m not disappointed, so don’t say that.’

It was a lie, if John said that he didn’t regret letting go of an opportunity that would not come easily. He didn’t know if he would regret his current choice in the future. Nevertheless, the most important thing for John was Valentine.

Valentine’s outspoken weakness neutralized John’s will. John tried not to be swept away by the momentary emotion, but he couldn’t leave Valentine alone. John’s conclusion was that it wasn’t yet time to fall apart from Valentine, and that was what John had concluded as the most important thing when he made up his mind.

John had planned to find a job that could be done at home first. In the future, when both of them could maintain a moderate distance from each other, it would not be too late to decide on his own future. John only wished that he had made the right choice.

Valentine had regained his true freedom only after the test had ended. He didn’t talk about the details of the exam, but his calm expression seemed to have fully demonstrated his skills.

‘How do you feel?’

Valentine just hugged John, who asked Valentine about his result. Then, Valentine took John on a private plane, as if they had planned it in advance. All they did after that was fly to Las Vegas and play around until they ran out of energy.

As if it had been awkward before, the two naturally began to stick together again. In particular, Valentine didn’t leave John’s side, as if he wanted to make up for the lack of time from before. The two attended parties hosted by their friends or went on trips. Sometimes, they were drunk enough to bring alcohol secretly into the dormitory.

In the meantime, Prom also approached quickly, adding more fire to the excitement.

“Valentine.”

“Mn, John.”

It was one late Friday night. The two were watching a horror movie, while sitting on a dorm bed. John, who was watching the moment of a murder, which was projected on an empty wall through a projector, bowed his head. Fiddling with Valentine’s hair laying on his leg, John slowly talked.

“I want to ask you something.”

Valentine looked up at John with a lazy look on his face. The tipsy eyes were red, and his lips were more prominent than usual. There was a melting ice bucket, an empty bottle of dry gin, and leftover chips scattered at their feet. Both of them were out of their minds because they had been drinking since early evening.

“I’m surprised you still have some questions left.”

“It’s just…”

Valentine reached out and touched John’s cheek. The blue eyes staring at John sparkled with mischief. John frowned at the tip of his nose and shook his head slowly. Valentine giggled at John as he touched John with his hands.

“What do you want to know?”

Fingers tapping lightly on the cheek went up the neck. Valentine wrapped his arms around John’s back and grabbed John with a smile on his face. John’s lips smashed with Valentine’s. The screams of the main characters in the movie, their dizziness, drunkenness, and the tongues moving slowly in their mouths were a combination that didn’t match. When John unwittingly chuckled, Valentine wrapped John’s arms around his waist.

“What do you want to know?”

“Ah… You know.”

Stroking his hair against the flat stomach, John moved his lips slightly. As Valentine rubbed his cheek against John, the sparkling blonde hair was scattered over the shirt.

“I’m listening.”

“Have you decided on a Prom partner? Who are you going to take?”

Until now, John hadn’t found a partner. Although John had been offered a chance to go with his juniors and classmates, he was hesitant in responding..

John learned from Gregory that Julian had found another partner. John was a little relieved by the fact, and he felt funny about himself. He wondered who Valentine would attend Prom with if it wasn’t Julian, because John wanted to find a partner who could hang out with Valentine’s partner.

“Uhm… are you curious?”

John gently nodded his head at the question, frowning. Then, Valentine rolled up his lips and responded.

“Guess. You know them well.”

“Really? Who is it…? Give me a hint.”

“I don’t know… they’re the sexy type.”

With a puzzled look on his face, John asked again without confidence, “Ellen?”’ Valentine leaned on John’s leg, so he wouldn’t look up at John’s face. Valentine’s reply felt sulky.

“So Ellen looks sexy to you, I didn’t know that was your type. Are you interested in her?”

“No, it’s not like that. What are you talking about?”

“So why did she come to your mind?”

“Just because everybody says she’s hot. Whatever, so… Who is it?”

“Suddenly, you’re a kill-joy.”

“Don’t be like that, Valentine.”

“The person I want to be my partner is John Lindberg.”

For John, the name that leaked from Valentine’s mouth was completely unexpected. With a late reply, John pointed his hand at his face.

“What… you mean me?”

“Mn, you.”

“That makes no sense.”

“Why do you say that?”

Valentine responded by pressing his jaw against John’s groin. John unwittingly groaned at the careful touch that was pressing against the sensitive area. Then, Valentine giggled and pulled down his indoor lounge pants. It didn’t take long for blood to flow to John’s genitals because his entire body was already excited after drinking alcohol.

Valentine, who was staring at the bulging flesh in front of his eyes, stuck out his tongue and licked it. John’s waist flinched, then bent forward because of the sensitive and weird sensation.

“Haa…”

John’s forehead touched Valentine’s back. Valentine smiled, as if he was satisfied with the weight collapsing on his body.

“This is the end of us being together in the dorm.”

“Th-that’s right, but…”

“As my partner, is there anyone better than you?”

“…”

“I think it’s the same for you.”

That said, John’s lips rolled up, while his mind was all over the place with pleasure and drunkenness. Valentine’s proposal was unexpected, but frankly, it was pleasing. It was a different feeling from when John refused Dominic’s offer, without even pretending to think about it.

Did… Did I want to go with Valentine?

“What’s your opinion?”

When John didn’t respond, Valentine tapped his lips lightly and pressed for an answer.

“…Okay.”

John’s gentle answer put a bright smile on Valentine’s face. Both hands lifted up the shirt and touched John’s skin. The touch of the slender waist, the broad shoulder blades, and along the back, where the spine was exposed, was blatant. When Valentine’s hands, which had been wandering along John’s back for a while, covered his flat chest, John’s lips were letting out hot breath.

Valentine was looking closely at his face, which was faded by the stimulation, and smiled.

“Look, John.”

“What?”

“You’re the sexy type.”

Valentine stuck out his tongue again and licked John’s penis. Holding John’s flinching waist firmly, Valentine whispered to himself, rubbing the organ with the tip of his nose, as if he was joking.

…Of course I should be the only one to know what you look like.

* * *

The night of Prom came.

The brightly lit campus became the perfect banquet hall. In front of the Evergreen Hall, where the party was held, a variety of luxury sedans and limousines were lined up. Students in fancy dresses and tuxedos entered the hall, with a flushed look on their faces.

John was still staying in the dormitory. To be exact, Dominic and the others were in Gregory’s room.

“Now that you’re really graduating, I can’t believe it.”

“I can’t believe how you look right now, Gregory. It’s almost an evolutionary change.”

“Shut up.”

Gregory was looking closely at the mirror and frowned. John and Dominic were sitting on the couch and on the bed, watching Gregory get ready. They jokingly chuckled, exchanging gazes with each other. John, who crushed an empty can of beer, removed it from his mouth.

“No, you look really different. That makes you more handsome.”

“Thank you, John. Compared to that nasty Dominic bastard, you’re really an angel.”

Unlike usual, the three wore luxurious tuxedos. The hair was neatly arranged in a pomade, and the custom suits that were prepared for today perfectly outlined their figures. Normally, the children who looked young seemed so mature now.

“What time are you going to leave?”

Dominic, who glanced down his wrist, looked around Gregory and John. “Uhm…” Gregory, who was rubbing his chin, replied slowly.

“I have to go over to Elena’s house in about… ten minutes?”

Gregory’s partner was a childhood friend that attended another school, and he was going to confess to her today. On the day of the dance, a pure white Lincoln limousine was waiting in front of the dormitory. Dominic, who had rolled up tobacco and lit it, smiled.

“Good luck. You’ll do well. Even though you’re a flawed fellow, given that she’s a philanthropist.”

Whether it was cheering or mocking, Gregory frowned and said.

“Dominic Williams, you mean you want to taste my nuclear fists before graduation?”

“No way. Ah, I should get going, too.”

Dominic woke up after checking the time. Dressed from head to toe by his mother, who was an actress, Dominic boasted a brighter appearance than usual. It seemed self-evident that he would receive many people’s attention today compared to Valentine’s.

“I’m going to pick up the princess.”

“Layla?”

“Yup.”

Dominic looked into the mirror and nodded with an expressionless face. His partner today, the Omega Layla, was just as popular on campus as Julian. She had openly expressed her interest in Dominic, and it seemed that it had finally paid off today.

“Escort her well. See you later.”

Dominic and Layla made a good couple. What a funny picture it would have been, if John had stood next to Dominic, not her. Thinking like that, John punched Dominic on the shoulder. Then, Dominic giggled and pressed out the burnt cigarette, before throwing it in the steel trash can.

“Right, you and your brother complex.”

“What…”

“In the end, you chose him. Are you kidding me?”

“…”

“I’m not sure if you’re dumbfounded or not.”

“…There was nothing I could do.”

When John responded with a little embarrassment, Dominic, who was trying to say something more, sighed and closed his mouth. He reached out for John’s collar. At a similar level, their eyes were locked, and Dominic’s brown eyes were playful.

“It would be more fun if I was your partner. Don’t regret it later.”

“Haha… You were just trying to make fun of me.”

“Really? I haven’t thought about it that much, but maybe this is too much. Where did John, my man, go?”

A long stretched finger tapped John’s temple and slipped down to the tip of his chin. John pulled Dominic’s hands away, as he squinted at the itchy feeling.

“Who needs to say anything, if the one to like it is Layla.”

“She’ll say she likes whatever I put on.”

“Aren’t you too confident?”

“Well, I had been drinking all night and she still told me to come with her. I guess she really likes me.”

“What a show off…”

“Anyway, I’ll get going, see you in the hall later. Let’s have some fun together.”

“Okay, I’ll call you.”

Gregory, who was looking into the mirror until then, looked back at Dominic.

“Dominic, are you going out now?”

“Do you want to come?”

“Yeah, I’d better just go ahead a little bit. See you later, John.”

“Okay, I see. Goodbye to both.”

As Gregory and Dominic left together, the dormitory room quickly became quiet. John left the room scratching the tip of his nose because he was dying of boredom in an ownerless room. John walked slowly down the hallway, contemplating whether to go downstairs alone or contact Valentine. Luckily, when he got to the end of the hallway, his phone rang. The screen showed the name of Valentine. John answered the phone, without hiding his blooming smile.

“Valentine.”

-Where are you now, John? Dorms?

“Mn, where are you?”

-In front of the dormitory. I’m here to escort you.

“What?”

-I’m in front of the main gate. Come out.

Valentine had disappeared without even revealing his destination in the morning. John left the dormitory with a puzzled look on his face after being quiet the entire time. Under the stone steps of the main hall, John could see a long figure leaning against a large sedan. John’s cheeks were flushed and a bright smile formed around his mouth.

“You’re here?”

Valentine standed out especially today. With his hair neatly turned back, wearing a classic black suit, he was dressed in a white dress shirt, bow tie and even a cummerbund.

It was a presence that stood out as if the air around Valentine was different. The people couldn’t tear their eyes off him, both men and women alike. Despite the chaotic mix of curiosity, desire, and longing, John was the only one Valentine stared at. That fact embarrassed and pleased John at the same time.

In just a few steps, Valentine approached John.

“John, why are you so handsome today?”

“Look at who’s saying that.”

A touching gaze swept through John’s face, and the embarrassed John scrunched up his nose, avoiding Valentine’s eyes.

John, who usually wore loose clothes, also looked nice and clean today. The dark brown hair was neatly arranged and sparkled in the sun, the two normally pale cheeks were red in anticipation of the upcoming event. His eyes were shining in a particularly dark green color today. Valentine, who was looking at him, squinted his eyes.

“No, I mean it. I’m not saying to make you feel better. You’re probably the most perfect person on the planet today.”

“Valentine… It’s embarrassing, so stop it.”

“I mean it. By the way, have you been waiting long?”

“No, not really… Where have you been? You didn’t answer your phone.”

“To find your graduation present.”

John opened his eyes wide because of the unexpected words. Valentine grabbed his wrist and opened his hand. What Valentine put in it was a car key. Standing dumbfounded for a moment, John only turned to the silver sedan parked in front of them. John, who was alternately looking at Valentine and the car, asked in an unsure voice.

“…What’s this?”

“I thought a lot about what design would suit you. You didn’t need a car, but that’s not the case anymore. I wanted to give it to you before Father or Mother did.”

The sedan, a combination of a famous supercar and Italian Carrocceria artisan, was exclusively for John. It was sleek and elegant. The metal silver color mixed with diamond pearls shone brilliantly wherever the eye could reach. It was a beautiful design that made your soul leave just by looking at it. John’s cheeks, staring blankly at it, slowly heated up with excitement.

No matter how many cars were in the house, they all belonged to Ryan. John was a teenager and was interested in cars, just like his peers. Besides, there was only one car in the world he liked. It was hard to know how Valentine prepared such a gift, while busy with the tests. As John stared at the car as if he was possessed, Valentine’s lips bent with satisfaction.

“I didn’t prepare anything…”

John, who came to his senses belatedly, bit his lips as if he were in trouble. Then, Valentine smiled lightly and patted John’s back. Valentine opened the driver’s door and he replied.

“There’s only one thing I want from you.”

“What do you want?”

“I’ll tell you later. Would you like to drive for now?”

“Thank you, really…”

“It’s nothing.”

The distance to Evergreen Hall was about five minutes on foot, but John willingly took the car. The Prom hasn’t even started yet, but John was already in a good mood. During the short distance, the two had an exciting conversation and burst into laughter at the slightest joke. When they arrived at the banquet venue, the party was already in full swing inside the hall.

Evergreen Hall was the largest and most spectacular great hall in Heritage. The luxurious banquet hall was already saturated with the buzz of music students.

“Shall we go in?”

Valentine reached out with a sweet smile, sweet like sugar. John, who hesitated for a moment, reached out his hand. Valentine took a big step, as he firmly held John’s hand. Brothers holding each other’s hands entering the Prom must have been a ridiculous sight, but for now, they weren’t embarrassed or bothered at all.

“Valentine! This way!”

“Why are you so late?”

By the side of the hall, a group of students were sitting at a large round table, as they raised their hands. They had been friends since Willingham School. The two joined the group without hesitation. Under the table, several bottles of Bolinger champagne were already rolling around.

Drinking, smoking and drugs were strictly prohibited on campus, except on Prom night. The school pretended that the students didn’t drink a certain amount of alcohol if they didn’t cause serious problems, so the students pretended to do it in moderation and secretly sip a drink.

“Would you like to drink?”

Adriana, who was sitting next to John, suddenly offered champagne. It was a waste to drink it from a cheap plastic cup, but no one at the table seemed to care about it.

“Thank you.”

John didn’t refuse to accept the glass and thanked her as she lowered herself close. As she got closer, a light perfume, the smell of cigarettes, and the smell of champagne were mixed together. With his eyes squinting as their eyes met, she waved a little zipper bag in front of John’s nose. There were small white pills inside. John could tell it was a kind of hallucinogen without asking.

“Do you want it in your glass?”

“No, it’s okay.”

“Well, it’s too early, right? Tell me later if you need it.”

“Haha… No. Where did you get this from, anyway?”

“It’s a secret because it’s the foundation of my business. I’m going to have a party at Holton’s villa around midnight, so… uhm, I’m sure a lot of people will come. Be sure to come with Valentine.”

John was well aware of how Holton and Adriana’s gang played. John wasn’t particularly interested in such a ‘play’, so he avoided answering with a smile. Anyway, the taste of champagne with the tip of his tongue was good.

They watched the dancing students sipping champagne or chatting noisily. When the champagne they secretly brought ran out, it was vodka that appeared afterwards. Drinking vodka diluted with coke and juice, ended up with them being increasingly drunk.

The situation was no different for other tables either. As time went by, couples who had no relationship until yesterday, were often seen drinking and feeling each other up. The sensuous beat of music began to flow, and the lights became a little darker.

“Don’t you feel like standing? Do you want to dance with me, Valentine?”

“Sorry, I want to stay a little longer.”

Was it because it was the first and last Prom? Numerous boys and girls, who had a crush on Valentine, had spoken to him, but Valentine never danced with anyone. That was the same for John as well.

The two stayed calm at the table where they first came in, talking quietly or whispering to each other, then occasionally burst into laughter. Handsome boys in slick suits were enough to catch the eyes of other students.

How long had they been like that? Taking advantage of the loose atmosphere, Valentine held John’s hand under the long drooping tablecloth. When the surprised John turned his head, Valentine whispered in John’s ear with laughter.

“What did you talk to Adriana earlier? I think she’s trying to hand over something to you.”

“She didn’t say much. She told me to come to Holton’s for a party later.”

John, who had said that, hesitated for a moment and continued.

“I’m sure she wants me to bring you too.”

“Do you want to go?”

“No, not really.”

“Me too. Would you rather leave in a little while?”

“Leave?”

“Mn, I have something to tell you.”

“What is it?”

“I’ll tell you a little later. Rather…”

“…?”

“Shall we dance before the party is over, John?”

“What?”

When John opened his eyes widely and asked, Valentine jokingly twisted his lips. John’s body rose without giving a proper answer. The eyes of the noisy companions were drawn to the two in unison. Valentine held John’s shoulder as if to look at him, and tilted John’s head. A confident voice then rang out to their friends.

“We’re going to dance.”

“What, with John?”

“Don’t tell me you’re trying to make us laugh.”

There was an innocent scolding and ridicule, but Valentine only led John away, with no sign of caring. John, who was standing still with his ears flushed red from embarrassment, had no choice but to follow Valentine’s lead.

As a matter of fact, the stage became noisy due to the appearance of two prominent people. John didn’t enjoy the attention of an unspecified majority, looking around with a troubled look on his face and was stiff.

“Valentine, I think this is a little…”

“Why do you care about what other people think?”

Valentine strongly pulled John’s waist. John looked at Valentine in surprise, as he dozed off. Valentine made a playful frown as he glanced at his face.

“You’re my partner… Isn’t it natural for partners to do this?”

Of course, the slow tempo of grooved music was flowing. Students that were dancing, giggled at them. They both seemed to think they were drunk and joking. Otherwise, some wouldn’t have told them things like “you look good” or “I will vote for you two to be the Prom King”.

What should I do…

John hesitated for a moment, but sighed briefly. His worries were short, and once he made up his mind, he stopped. Maybe John was already drunk because he kept drinking. Anyway, the mood was good, and the champagne gave off a pleasant buzz. Since it was the first and last Prom night, there was no reason not to dance with Valentine.

“Then you lead.”

When John made a gentle joke, Valentine had his eyes wide open. It was as if Valentine had not expected it, but he soon burst into laughter. John also rolled up his lips as he looked at Valentine, who looked happy.

Everything sparkled, and it was a joyful night. It felt as if they could fly.

I hope this would last forever.

With that thought in mind, Valentine kept staring at John’s face.

* * *

Unfortunately, the good mood didn’t last.

Whether the mixed alcohol was a problem, John soon had a headache and was uncomfortable. Coincidentally, Valentine was away by the time John’s condition deteriorated. Valentine said he had something to check about going to school, but it seemed to take longer than John thought.

John waited for Valentine, leaning on a sofa on one side of the hall, but his condition was only getting worse. It wasn’t until his condition worsened, to the point where anyone could see that his complexion had turned white, that John gave up waiting for Valentine and stood up.

“John Lindberg, where are you going?”

John was just about to leave the Evergreen Hall. Adriana, who had disappeared for a while, appeared really drunk. The female Alpha, Adriana, was the certified couple of the male Omega Holton, and she was proud to show off that she was an Alpha. Looking at the crumpled, stained dress, she must have taken the drugs and had a big fight with Holton somewhere. John’s head was spinning even though he was just standing, and John responded casually, patting his tired cheeks.

“I’m kind of tired… I think I should rest in the dorm.”

“You mean Building A? It’s a mess there, too.”

“With that, what do you mean?”

Adriana just stuck out her tongue instead of answering. He saw a pill that melted on the tip of her tongue and spread white. John shook his head with a sick face. She was doing drugs in the school dorm, he couldn’t believe her. In a strict and conservative place like Heritage.

“What if you get caught? You said you were going to Holton’s house? You had better hang out there.”

“They were all drunk, hah, so I couldn’t.”

“Haa… Anyway, you drink moderately.”

“Oh my, so sweet. But John, you look worse than I am.”

“…”

“Go in and get some rest. Lock the door, and on a day like this, even someone normal can become trashed. Got it?”

Adriana tapped John’s cheek like a child and stumbled while walking to the hall. The pleasant feeling of a while ago was nowhere to be found. John had chills running all over his body and started sweating heavily. Standing absent-mindedly, John stepped on the wall and bowed his head. Hot breath scattered into the air.

…Don’t tell me, Adriana drugged my cup of champagne earlier?

But he was not in a good condition to do that. The view was refracted, as the floor moved closer and further away. What’s wrong with my body these days? What’s going on…

-I’m going to the dormitory.

His fingers slipped, even when he typed short sentences. John, who managed to send a message to Valentine, tucked his mobile phone deep into his pocket, and took an unsteady step.

When John arrived at Building A, the interior was as chaotic as Adriana had said. The Evergreen Hall was still crowded and the lights were bright, so it was okay at first glance. However, the dormitory was in a state of debauchery, as a few students were gathered together under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

“…”

John had paused on his way to open the door of the reception room on the first floor. It was because the reception room, which was usually comfortable for him, looked completely unfamiliar today.

Empty vodka bottles were rolling around the floor. There were randomly crumpled clothes here and there. The pleasant, yet disgusting stench of marijuana and concentrated cigarette smoke combined, as students sat around and inhaled powder through their noses. At their feet were the rolling empty glasses, tobacco filters and paper.

John felt apprehensive, as he felt  an uneasy premonition. It was a strange atmosphere, since it felt as if something was going to happen. John couldn’t stop standing at the entrance of the reception room and looked around the mess.

“…Oh, who is this?”

Someone, who had been inhaling the powder in the corner, stumbled as he got up from his seat, but it was hard to identify who he was. Whether the headache came down or not, John’s vision was still blurred.

“Haa…”

John groaned briefly and bowed his head. He felt like he was being stabbed with a sharp needle all over his body. His fingertips were trembling, as chills ran down his spine.

I can’t stand it anymore…

It was just as John was about to walk up the stairs across the reception room because he thought just the tiniest bit of movement would cause nausea.

Uack…!

Then the ‘matter’ happened in a flash.

“Ugh…”

As if oxygen were emitted from the pores of his body, his mind was dizzy as he lost consciousness. Sighing, as he inhaled deeply for a long time, John collapsed on a thick carpet and trembled. John was just about to curl up because he couldn’t stand the pain.

Suddenly, he felt a strange and familiar scent passing through the tip of his nose as his mind went blank.

It was none other than the scent of his own body.

“…”

As soon as John realized the fact, various scents that he had never felt before flocked to his brain at once. His lower abdomen was hot as Hell, with the sensation of his whole body falling into the abyss, as an unbearable heat spread like wildfire. He instantly broke out in a cold sweat, covering his pale forehead.

John realized it instinctively. These scents, that were sharply covered, as if attacking themselves… were pheromones emitted by the Alphas around them.

But what he didn’t understand was why he released Omega pheromones when he was a Beta.

John, who was in pain, belatedly realized the strangely desolate surroundings. It was completely quiet in the room he had collapsed in. When John raised his head, which couldn’t move that well, he realized that his classmate’s eyes were on him in unison.

“…”

In a precarious silence, John slowly recognized his situation.

An Omega who was in heat, that let out pheromones in the Alpha only Dormitory.

That was who he was.

Why… this…?

John couldn’t make sense of the situation right now with his blurred head, but one thing was clear. His body was now uncontrollably hot. It felt like lava flowed all over his body, making him want to scrape his own skin. The dick trapped in his pants was standing up.

What the hell… Why?

He knew that there were Alphas or Omegas that were often presented after puberty had occurred, but John never considered the possibility of that happening to him. Emily was a recessive Omega, and a Beta birthed out of a recessive Omega was very common.

There were heavy footsteps.

Without accepting the shock that he expressed Omega, he felt someone slowly approaching. John breathed out and lifted his sweaty eyelids with difficulty. A smooth shoe was caught in his sight.

“Ha… What the, John?”

The boy standing in front of him was none other than someone from Joseph’s gang, who pretended to know John earlier. He was also the one who made insulting remarks to John the other day. When their eyes met, the eyes which were filled with the energy of the drugs flashed and shone. The boy, who was giggling, looked around and raised his arms in an exaggerated manner.

“Guys. Don’t you also smell a fucking hot Omega…?”

Shaking, John tried to stand up, forcing all of his strength to go to his legs. The boy, who giggled alone, continued to talk about what was so funny.

“Shit, I’ve never smelled anything this explicit. It’s like…”

“…”

“It’s like asking to be fucked.”

Along the lines, the glaring eyes filled with hostility and sexual desire pierced into John. The face smiling down at John was unusually bizarre, pretending to be fine. The boy’s smile deepened, as their eyes met.

“Don’t you think so, John?”

Gulp. Unconscious dry saliva was swallowed by itself. John managed to get himself up and stumbled back. An empty bottle rolled and hit another boy’s foot. He was a classmate who took geography class with John one day. He stuttered with a surprised look on his face.

“John, were you… Omega?”

“…Me, ah, no… that…”

“Son of a bitch, why do you ask that? Do you think a Beta would have this nasty smell? Haha… John, why didn’t you just say it out loud?”

“…”

“I want to eat you.”

Suddenly, John’s head recalled what his Beta friend said in the past.

“Do you know that rape clubs still extist in the so-called prestigious places? It really sucks, but it’s a bad habit that’s actually happening. John, what kind of kids do you think they are? If you’re curious…”

Look around you.

At that moment, John realized.

If I’m caught, I’ll be raped.

As if John’s prediction wasn’t wrong, some of the frozen Alphas stumbled from their seats. Having been swamped with drugs and alcohol even before John came, they seemed to lack rationality as they joined the blatantly rut because of the Omega’s pheromones.

Feeling defenseless, John ran out of the reception room with all his might. He managed to close the thick door and hung a vintage chair on the doorknob.

Bang! Bang!

“Fuck, you bastard! Open it!”

“Get him!”

The Alphas who came to their senses, forcefully slammed against the door, as if they were going to break it open. John stumbled through the hallway. Fear made the tip of his tongue stiff and reason disappeared from his head. John, as he was trying to somehow run with his legs, which weren’t working well, lost his balance and fell. The extremely sensitive body had a heat like itch everywhere he touched.

“Uck…”

Barely able to stand up again, John raised his trembling hand and held onto the railing of the stairs. The idea of where and how to avoid them was completely erased from his head. The obsession of just going back to his dorm room left him breathless.

“Please… until I’m in my room…”

However, as if to laugh at John’s words, as he went upstairs, about half the way up, a loud laugh broke out from above him. A group of students stumbled out, under the influence of alcohol and stopped walking in fright. Their eyes were frozen, as they exchanged gazes with John in the middle of the stairs.

“…John Lindberg?”

They were shocked. as if they couldn’t believe that it was John, who had used the same dormitory as them, was able to give off an intense amount of Omega pheromones. In the frightened eyes of John, they were only seen as threatening. Their pheromones, too.

No, the most dangerous thing was himself.

John was going crazy because he felt itchy inside.

Somehow… Anything please.

… Someone… What should I do?

His waist trembled from smelling the Alphas’ pheromone, which was pushed into his five senses. Instinctive sexual desire slowly eroded his brain. John ran down the stairs, with his lips clenched and shaking. The only way out was the emergency exit, which was south of him. It was when John, who crossed the corridor past the living room, had just closed the door of the emergency exit.

Slam…!

“Where did that bastard go?”

“With this smell, he’s still nearby.”

“You can’t be a proud Heritagian if you ignore such a desperate signal!”

As a matter of fact, it was a group that didn’t like John. The giggling voice, which made it sound as if it were just a game, drove John’s fear to its peak. John was scared witless of what might happen if he were truly caught. As soon as John, who struggled to climb up the emergency exit, entered the hallway on the second floor, footsteps made a loud noise from below.

“Hey, John?”

John, who had lived as a Beta all of his life, had no idea how to control pheromones from the beginning. That’s why everywhere he went, he left a noticeable trail. John didn’t know, but it was an overly blatant and a clumsy temptation.

Fortunately, there weren’t many students in the dormitory, and there were several rooms which housed John’s friends on the second floor. John walked to the nearest room and turned the doorknob. As if God had helped him, the door opened without resistance.

“…Haa.”

John locked the door with his trembling hands and clung closely to the wall. With the sound of the door knob rattling, he heard hard knocking sounds on the door, as if it were going to break.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

“Where are you?”

“It’s no use hiding!”

They laughed at John in a joyful voice, as if they were hunting a rabbit. The reason they had pursued John in the first place had long faded. For them, John was just a prey to make violent entertainment more enjoyable.

“…Hu…”

Stepping backward, John was blocked by a glass door leading to the balcony. It was far enough to be away from the door that seemed to open anytime soon, but it was too close to be completely free from the Alphas’ pheromones. John had a shameless, raging sexual desire driven by instinct to be caught. The ceiling turned, and the tight standing penis made his underwear all damp.

While John was fighting the sexual desire inside him, the hallway became quiet at one point. It was when John, who belatedly recognized the fact, stared at the door blankly with a fevered face.

Knock knock, John could hear a light knock on the door.

“…John. It’s me, open the door.”

What John heard was an unexpected voice from Dominic. He didn’t know why, but it was Dominic who was standing behind the door, instead of the crowd who was chasing him like a maniac earlier. As soon as John recognized the fact, his fingertips became numb at once. As if the blood that had stopped flowing to his hands.

But no matter what, Dominic was also Alpha, so it wasn’t easy to be relieved. Instead of responding, John stuck himself closer to the wall. Tears rose with trembling eyes.

Gulp. John tried to swallow his saliva and replied to Dominic, stuttering.

“Not… now. So, leave.”

“I’m not going to ask you anything… Open the door, John.”

“…”

“Don’t worry about it. It’s not like I want to get expelled right before graduation, so I won’t touch you.”

Only then did the tears flow down John’s eyes, as if a dam had burst. Trapped in feelings of relief and panic, John stammered in a crying voice.

“Dominic, my body feels so weird. Why, why did this happen… I…”

“I’ll take you to Dr. Rowin. She’ll know what to do.”

“…”

“So open the door. It’s more dangerous to stay like that.”

To you and to me.

John took a slow step that didn’t land correctly. The trembling hand turned the doorknob and the door opened. Dominic, who seemed to be seeing something strange, was seen through the open door gap. As John blinked his eyes wet with tears, thick tears flowed down his cheeks. Dominic was staring at John.

“T-thank you… Dominic.”

While thanking Dominic, John smelt a strong pheromone that he had never felt before. It had a strong and sweet scent, like chocolate. John held his breath to endure the feeling of distraction. Even though John felt terrible about estrusing his safety to his close friend, his instinct sent an intense signal to Dominic that he wanted to succumb.

John stuttered, trying to cover the erection as much as possible.

“Outside, there were still a lot of people… How do you get here?”

“Don’t worry, John.”

“…!”

Then, it happened.

Dominic wrapped his hands around John’s shoulder, and punched his stomach with strong force. John let out a gasp from the shock because a vital point was hit and oxygen escaped momentarily, making him lurch forward. Dominic’s arm supported John’s falling body.

“I knew it…”

It was when John, who couldn’t overcome the shock, closed his eyes as everything faded to black. Dominic mumbled to himself in a lower voice than usual. John tried to respond, but everything was dark after that.
