The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 245: “Find Me!”

It was the same case for Little Wu and the likes also, but for the rest, none of them understood what just transpired, and for most, they were very happy, whilst for the rest, there was confusion, sadness, grief and the likes…

But the Min Hong who they were fretting over had appeared in a place that very few beings have ever visited; beasts, humans and every other species alike…

Min Hong appeared out in the open, and though he couldn't say for sure where he was, since he could not even see his fingers no matter how much the golden green glow of the 'Eye of Infinite Daos' intensified…

Chatter! Chatter! Chatter!

A gripping but reflexive shiver rippled through his spine as his teeth involuntarily scraped each other, and despite being immune to every sort of weather phenomenon, Min Hong was stunned to find his body losing its core heat at an alarming rate…

His thoughts spun at the uniqueness of this sensation, and instantly he wrapped himself in a layer of Chaos Qi…

"I thought as much…" Min Hong whose core body heat finally stopped dropping finally saw the fear he was feeling subside…

"Find Me!"

A voice spoke, ever so close, and also, as far as away as a whisper causing Min Hong to jolt as his eyes darted left and right looking for something he knew he could never find…

Then an ominous feeling began to creep into his body, mind and soul from every direction and no direction, causing Min Hong's mental coordination to be thrown into an utter turmoil…

Min Hong began to reflexively perspire bullets as the fear of the unknown began to seep into his heart…

"Hmph! He's not alone, you know…"

Min Hong abruptly blurted in Little Fei's voice who activated the [Buddhist Chant of the Cherubs] which did little but still effectively reduced the ominous sensation seeping into Min Hong's soul and the fear growing in his heart…

"Find Me!"

The voice drifted over once again, but this time, Min Hong could have sworn that, the voice speaking to him came from behind his ears…

As if trying to catch the speaker off guard, Min Hong abruptly turned around but found nothing causing his spirit ring to instinctively appear due to the eeriness of the entire situation which it got from Min Hong's emotional and mental state…

His wings also emerged and began to flap in an agitated manner as if telling Min Hong that it didn't want to spend another second within this place…

"Stay calm… it's just the void…"

Min Hong didn't know if he was trying to calm himself or Lekan, but Lekan was instinctively telling him that there was something present within this blinding darkness that they were in…

Min Hong, in a bid to confirm if something was truly in here with him, sent his mental sense rippling outwards;

"Unh? Even mental force is being restricted here!?"

The moment his mental force left his mind palace, Min Hong felt as if two massive invisible hands were trying to stuff it back into his head…

The more he tried to forcefully expand it, the more it was being forced back into his head until he began to develop a splitting headache…

"It's no use… the void is a very much stronger entity than you…"

"If you're not allowed to use your mental sense, then just done bother…" Little Fei advised…

"Have you tried infusing the Primus Dao aura with it? I think that should help, shouldn't it?" Daniel responded in an open manner…

"In theory, after all, they are both Daos and based on the information we have, the Primus is supposed to be stronger than the Void, even more so the Oblivion…"

"But we are not fighting against someone using the Void Dao against us, we are talking about the Void Dao itself…"

"There is no harm in trying it out…"

Min Hong's aura and presence abruptly vanished and then he sent his mental force rippling out once again, and this time, the suppression effect reduced significantly as his mental sense traveled farther than the 1 mile radius it did earlier…

"That's Oblivion, and now Primus…"

Min Hong thought it and a subtle, gentle and all-encompassing aura radiated from deep within his soul as his mental sense doubled its reach, and without standing on ceremony, he added a third Dao, as a chaotic aura burst forth aggressively from his soul and fought against that restriction...

It was at this abrupt moment that Min Hong caught a movement when his mental force reached a ten mile radius…

Instantly, his wings flapped as Min Hong left a shockwave in his wake and vanished from the spot reappearing about ten miles away, chasing the fast moving figure which he had yet to discover its shape due to its blitzing speed…

But one thing was for sure; this thing was alive and was a native of this place due to the little to no effect the suppression of the void had on it…

"This thing sure is fast…" Min Hong remarked in wonder when he saw the thing begin to pull further and further away from him…

"It is all or nothing…" He muttered to himself as lightning crackled beneath his feet and then;

Boom!

Thunder resounded across the void as lightning flickered intensely all over his body like he was Zeus...

Knowing that such a loud and theatrical commotion might attract nearby monsters that was lurking around the area, Min Hong didn't care as he was focused on this thing that was fleeing and putting more and more distance between them…

He wanted to confirm if the figure was the one speaking to him earlier, and as a result, a serious chase began…

Boom! Bang!

Guh! Urgh!

Min Hong clattered into what seemed to be an asteroid belt with the massive momentum from flying at breakneck speed... Luckily his body was at the Peak Emperor stage, otherwise, he might have been smashed into a pulp by what looked more like the shattered remnants of what once seemed to be a planet...

Moreover, the shocking thing was that, these fragments of rocks he just slammed into were not picked up by his mental force in the slightest…

"Damn it!"

Min Hong blurted in fury when he noticed that the figure he was chasing had actually escaped the range of his mental force, due to the obstruction of these rocks…

He slowed down his speed to the barest minimum, but that still didn't stop the occasional;

"Urgh!" "Ouch!" "Damn these rocks!" as he yelped in pain from running into one rock debris after another…

Then after about what seemed to Min Hong as three hours, he finally exited this region of shattered rocks…

"Hu!"

He let out a deep sigh of relieved frustration before raising his head and looked ahead, then his eyes expanded so wide that the borders of its socket nearly cracked open, followed by his jaws slacking completely, all at what he was seeing right ahead…

"What is that!?"

Min Hong didn't know if that question was meant for him, his companions or what he was seeing up ahead which was a floating and stationary ball of light…

"Is that the core of the Void?"

He asked once again but received an answer directly from Lekan who was sending him the vibe and instincts that, what was up ahead should be seriously left alone…

As a matter of fact, there was even a slight fleeing inclination in that instinct of his…

But Min Hong's curiosity was already trapped by this orb of light which was the first thing he was going to see since he got here…
