The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 365: Dead!

He called out to Little Fei and even reached out to everyone within the 'Realm of Creations' and asked what happened, but the best answer he got was that 'Nothing happened and he just seem to go on airplane mode for a bit, but they could feel that he was still alive and well, and so they thought he was just cultivating and decided not to disturb him'…

"Alive and well?"

Min Hong asked in thought as he became more baffled and worried, but still chose not to tell any one of them about his dream and everything that happened…

He went down the stairs to the living room and on getting there, he was astonished to sense the presence of the four strongest disciple of the desert sun sect, siting in the living room with Min Rou, Min Qing and Qing Tan…

The two maids were also moving around, and when one of them who was heading towards the kitchen saw Min Hong descend down the stairs;

Bang!

She froze and dropped everything she was carrying around, before she ran back into the living room like someone who had just seen a ghost…

This greatly caused Min Hong to be taken aback, as he began to touch his face, but there was nothing wrong with his appearance at all…

'What's going on here?'

He thought to himself as he decided to go find some answers, but just as he reached the lower part of the stairs, he heard several footsteps approach him, and when they saw him, they all had mixed emotions etched on their faces, except from Gong Yi and the other three in his group who had relieved expressions on their faces, before they looked at themselves and sighed…

Min Hong stood there looking at the three women in his life look at him from afar, not daring to come near him, and he began to wonder what might have happened whilst he was dreaming;

"What happened whilst I was asleep?"

"Asleep!?" Min Qing blurted in shock;

"Well, I had a bit of nightmare last night, and woke up to find no one upstairs…"

"Then coming down the stairs, I saw Si Ling who fled like she's seen a ghost, so I am asking, what happened whilst I was asleep?"

Min Hong repeated his question, walking past them to sit on the highest seat within the living room…

"Wait, how long did you think your sleep took?" Gong Yi asked causing Min Hong to look up at him in surprise…

Like how long do people really sleep for? After all, it wasn't like he died or something, but he still chose to answer the question;

"About seven hours give or take…"

Min Hong said leisurely as he changed his outfit into a very much presentable one with a thought, something which captured the attention of Gong Yi's group…

"Well, that explains everything…" Gong Yi spoke with a thoughtful tone, as he truly seemed deep in thought;

"That explains what?" Min Hong asked, now turning to be the stunned and confused one within the building;

"Hong-ge, you have been dead for seven days now…"

Min Qing said with fear and wariness apparent in her tone…

Min Hong chuckled lightly as he replied;

"How can I be dead, it was just a simple nightmare… Nothing to be overly worried about…" He added;

"No… I guess she didn't put it correctly..."

Gong Yi stepped forward and took a seat, before Min Hong who realized that he hadn't welcomed them to seat gestured everyone to pick a seat…

"Do you know you were supposed to meet with your group five days ago?" Gong Yi asked

"Nope, we are supposed to meet tomorrow…" Min Hong was adamant about his stance on the situation…

Even those within the 'Realm of Creations' used the term; 'a bit' to quantify how long he was gone…

"Well, you were supposed to meet them five days ago, and we were supposed to come discuss with you four days ago…" Gong Yi began to recount everything he knew;

"Furthermore, the fifth grand elder was also here three days ago saying there was someone important you had to meet, and it was when we told him that you have been sleeping for three days straight, that he decided to come check up on you, just to be safe…"

Gong Yi finished and looked over to the Min Rou trio;

"Then we explained what happened on the first, second and third night to him, and that was when it all began…" Min Rou added;

"Wait, wait, wait! What began?" Min Hong was now truly confused;

"The morning after the night you went to sleep, you woke up with a scream, and not only did your scream knock out Qing Tan and injured her soul, I and Fei Qing were also caught in the crossfire…"

Min Hong looked over to Qing Tan but noticed that she wouldn't look him in the eye, which was something that was now getting him slightly pissed off;

"Enough!" He snapped;

"If you guys have done something you don't want me to know about then say it…."

"All these excuses and baseless assumptions you are all making is getting me sick to my stomach…"

"Then allow me to show you then…"

Min Hong's heart trembled slightly when he heard the voice of a man echo from behind him and he had never sensed the person's presence in any way…

"The Imperial Crown Prince had suspected that you might not know this happened because he had been in a similar condition before, thus, he asked me to record everything and show them to you, and maybe you will understand everything then…"

The shadow behind Min Hong's seat rippled and a man clad in total black up to his face stepped out of the shadows…

He was entirely wrapped in black, leaving only his eyes, which were blue like the moon in the darkest night…

The man's steps were soundless and even his presence was undetectable to everyone, but Min Hong could sense that it was because of the black shadowy smoke wrapping all around his body that was shrouding his presence from everyone's senses;

"Who are you?"

Min Hong asked with a solemn tone… He hated meeting experts like this who could have killed him without him knowing it…

This man just fucking came out of the shadows behind his chair, and he had never known that he was there until he stepped out himself…

The man could have easily stabbed him through the chair and no one would even know how his death happened…

"The next time we meet is the day we will exchange such information… But for now, just know I'm not an enemy, and neither am I an ally…"

"I was simply sent here to deliver a message to you from the Imperial Crown Prince…"

The man said as he brought out a mirror that projected everything that happened, including what happened during the time, Min Rou, Min Qing and Qing Tan were in the same room with him…

IT was exactly how they had witnessed it and this made Min Hong wonder how this man got the video;

"They willingly shared it to me because they felt you might not believe them when they told you what happened…"

The man caught the meaning within Min Hong's malicious gaze, and not only did that gaze give him the creeps, his mental alarm also kept blaring whenever he looked directly at Min Hong…

Min Hong also watched everything that happened, even from the point of view of his guards and maids…

It was after everything played out till the end, that Min Hong finally understood the reason why they were scared…

After Fifth came to check up on him, they discovered that he seemed to be dead…

They couldn't sense any part of him that was still functioning, and as a matter of fact, Fifth had also rushed over to get the Sect Leader, who was also left baffled by his current situation…

Elder Yun and Little Ming had also told them that they could still feel his connection to them, and from that, they could sense that wherever he was and whatever was happening to him, that he was experiencing utter terror and fear, but they hadn't believed them, because just like the Min Rou trio, the Sect Leader and everyone else thought they didn't just want to accept the fact that he was dead…

They couldn't sense his body cultivation, or Qi cultivation…

His soul couldn't be sensed also, and neither was there any shred of divine sense left within him…

Furthermore, the way he had screamed awake in pain and then fell lifelessly on the bed within the video almost convinced Min Hong that he had truly died, and if not for the fact that, he could sense that it was the Primus Dao Tree that had masked every ounce of his presence with the oblivion aura, he would have truly believed he had died also…

Furthermore, there was some things he could sense within himself that had changed; some he could feel but couldn't comprehend how or why or when they happened; like his Law Daos for example; they have all increased by another Plane, bringing all his Daos to the Fourth Plane Law Level, and he could  also sense that the Awakening Stage had also opened the door for him to enter, and all he needed was to circulate in body cultivation energy and push for it, and he would be able to effortlessly enter the awakening stage…

But whilst that was truly appealing to him, Min Hong had set his sights on the Nihility Essence Flame, and was determined to use it to breakthrough into the Spirit and Ancient Realms, after all, that would make it the strongest Dao he had in his arsenal…

A Dao that had already touched the Essence Level…
