Chapter 2 - A Woman So Unconscientious Would Surely Be Struck Down By Lightning (2)

Su Man-er lifted her hand and rubbed the back of her head. The reason there was sharp pain on the back of her head was because she had been knocked unconscious by the female lead.

The female lead was ruthless. When Su Man-er touched the back of her head, she felt blood on her hand. 

“Why are you running away from me, Man-er? You know you won’t be able to get away today. It’s better if you just be obedient.” By now Zhao DaShun had already closed in on Su Man-er and had reached out at her again.

Su Man-er’s look couldn’t be any colder.

She wanted to get away from him again, but this time, the back of her head was even more painful. 

The pain on her head made her a little dizzy, and she stumbled a little.

Zhao DaShun took the opportunity and grabbed her on her wrist. 

The villagers were starting to arrive on the outside. 

One could hear one of them saying, “The door of the hut is still tightly shut. Zhao DaShun and the new wife must still be inside there!”

And, immediately, she disappeared right in front of his eyes. 

Zhao DaShun’s eyes widened in disbelief. He was stunned by what had just happened. 

After Su Man-er had gone invisible, she didn’t leave right away. She looked around on the ground and found a wooden club. She then picked it up and struck Zhao DaShun with it. 

She hit Zhao DaShun squarely on his back. He let out a soft grunt, stumbled forward, and lost consciousness. 

Su Man-er tossed away the club, slapped her hands together a few times, and walked over to where the door was. 

When she was invisible, she could walk through walls or doors. She did not need to open up the door in order to get out in her current state. 

After she had gotten out and saw all the villagers waiting there for the drama to unfold, the corners of mouth moved, and she sneered. 

No matter what time period she was in, there were always those who loved to eat melons. But most of the time, the rumors also came from these melon-eaters. 

Her head was still hurting like mad and she had originally wanted to look for some herbs to put on it. But out of the corners of her eyes, she saw a movement in a bush not too far from her.

She remembered from the novel that the original owner had a female cousin who was also fond of the male lead. She had helped the female lead a lot in the process of splitting up Su Man-er and the male lead. 

She also played a role in the incident today as well. The female cousin was the one who went and got Zhao DaShun, and she had also helped the female lead in knocking Su Man-er unconscious!

This female cousin was the one hiding in the bush right now.

Staring at the bush for a little bit, Su Man-er suddenly grinned coldly.

Five minutes later, Su Man-er dragged Qiao XinXin, her female cousin, into the hut.

She had knocked Qiao XinXin out with the advantage of being invisible. She then put an invisibility fulu on Qiao XinXin, so nobody else could see her before she dragged Qiao XinXin toward the hut. 

After she had gone back inside the hut, Su Man-er removed the invisibility fulu from Qiao XinXin. Just when she was touching Qiao XinXin’s face trying to wake her up, she heard a shrewish female voice coming from the outside, “Oh my mother of god, what had our Chi’s family done to have married a woman with such corrupted morals like Su Man-er? This woman is so unconscientious! Us, the Chi’s, had paid so much money to marry her in and she turned around and got it on with another man? A woman who’s so unconscientious would be struck down by lightning!”
