Chapter 79:

An Yan was startled by Grandpa Cheng’s action and inadvertently took back the spiritual energy that was outside Grandpa Cheng’s spiritual domain.

As for the spiritual energy that had entered the spiritual domain, it was disconnected because of An Yan’s action.

An Yan was flustered and worried for a while. He was not sure if the spiritual energy left in the spiritual domain would have any effect.

In desperation, he stood at Grandpa Cheng’s bedside for a long time to keep an eye on his movements in case anything happened.

But except for the initial turn over in his sleep, Grandpa Cheng slept soundly until dawn and did not have any other unusual reaction.

An Yan was going to wait a little longer, but he suddenly heard the sound of light footsteps outside the ward. He quickly twitched his ears and ran back to Cheng Yi’s side.

After the footsteps disappeared, An Yan did not dare do anything else. It was almost dawn. Grandpa Cheng and his family may wake up at any time and it would also arouse suspicion if they found out that he did not sleep well.

At seven o’clock in the morning, the door of the ward was open and Dr. Lin came in to check the situation.

Once he saw that Grandpa Cheng was still sleeping, Dr. Lin couldn’t help but be surprised. “Old Marshal Cheng is still asleep?”

Old Marshal Cheng was always awake whenever he came over to check the situation. This was the first time he had seen Old Marshal Cheng get up so late.

Moreover, according to his understanding,  Marshal Cheng’s sleep quality has always been very poor due to the disturbance in the spiritual domain. He would immediately wake up at the slightest movement. But he had already walked into the ward, and Marshal Cheng was still sleeping soundly. Could it be…

Doctor Lin’s face changed slightly. He quickly walked to the hospital bed and raised his hand to explore the nostrils of old Marshal Cheng. After making sure that his breathing was steady and long, he was relieved.

Cheng Yi, who had already gotten up at the side, frowned and asked, “Doctor, how is my condition now?”

Although he was slightly relieved, Old Marshal Cheng’s condition today was indeed very unusual. Dr. Lin said seriously, “I will arrange a comprehensive physical examination for Old Marshal Cheng.”

He opened his light brain and gave the instructions. A nurse soon came in and pushed the still sleeping Grandpa Cheng to the examination room.

Before Dr. Lin left, Cheng Yi clenched his fist and said, “Thank you, doctor.”

An Yan, who was cupped in his hand, looked worriedly at Grandpa Cheng, who was being pushed out. Was Grandpa Cheng like this because of his previous actions?

Half an hour later, Grandpa Cheng returned to the ward. Only this time he wasn’t pushed in, but was helped in by Cheng Yi.

Although he did sleep heavily at first and did not even notice Dr. Lin’s arrival, he quickly woke up after being pushed into the examination room.

Grandpa Cheng himself was surprised that he had been pushed into the examination room without his notice. What surprised him even more was that the pain in his spiritual domain had been alleviated, and his body was much more relaxed and refreshed than before.

He even had a rare good sleep last night, and did not wake up from time to time from the pain as he usually did.

Grandpa Cheng was very surprised by this discovery, but did not say so directly.  He was not sure whether these feelings were his illusions or not.

It was not until the examination results came out that Dr. Lin said to him, with an astonished and surprised expression, “Old Marshal Cheng, your physical condition is much better than before, and the degree of damage to the spiritual domain has also been reduced.”

It was then that Grandpa Cheng ascertained that all those changes were real and not an illusion.

Grandpa Cheng was surprised and happy, but at the same time, he became confused. It was obvious that his condition was already very poor, almost a direct death sentence. Why did his physical condition suddenly improve?

Cheng Yang, who had just gotten up, jumped up and down when he heard the good news: “Great, great! Grandpa, your health will definitely get better soon! “

Grandpa Cheng patted his grandson’s hand and turned his head to ask Dr. Lin, “Can you determine what caused this change?”

Dr. Lin shook his head: “It’s not detectable yet.”

Just like when Grandpa Cheng’s spiritual domain was severely damaged before, the hospital was now only able to detect the extent of the recovery but was unable to determine what caused it.

Grandpa Cheng nodded. “No matter what, this is a good thing for me.”

At least he could live a few more days after this improvement.

An Yan was finally relieved on hearing this.  He had been worried that his actions last night had brought more burden and damage to Grandpa Cheng’s spiritual domain.

And from Dr. Lin’s attitude, he did not discover the presence of his spiritual power through physical examination. This also made An Yan more relieved.

Cheng Yi, who had been standing by the side without speaking, looked down at the little one in his palm and gently pressed on his little head, having already made a guess in his heart.

After sending Dr. Lin away, Cheng Yi found an excuse to leave the ward and once again came to the corner of the garden where he had communicated with the little one the day before.

Cheng Yi first typed down a line: [My grandfather’s health condition suddenly improved; it should have something to do with Yan Yan, right?]

An Yan’s beady eyes glanced at Cheng Yi in guilt but still honestly explained: [I used my spiritual power to check Grandpa Cheng’s physical condition last night, but there was an accident. I couldn’t retrieve the spiritual power I used to do the examination.]

Fortunately, Grandpa Cheng is fine; otherwise he would be a sinful hamster.

Cheng Yi did not comment too much; he just gently typed two words: [Thank you].

[Senior is overly polite.] An Yan hurriedly replied. Cheng Yi had helped him so much, and he had only helped a little. He almost made things worse and really should not accept Cheng Yi’s thanks.

Cheng Yi seemed to hesitate for a while before he tyed down another line on the light brain: [Would Yan Yan mind letting my grandfather know about this?]

An Yan actually froze for a moment. He didn’t expect Cheng Yi to ask him this question, but on second thought, it made sense.

Since he had already started this and determined that doing so could indeed help Grandpa Cheng improve his health, he would definitely continue to act in this way afterwards.

In this process, Grandpa Cheng was likely to become suspicious and find clues.

And Grandpa Cheng would not be the only one. Other people around, including the doctors in the nursing home, may find out the difference and investigate it.

Instead of taking these risks, it would be better to explain the truth to Grandpa Cheng from the beginning. It was only with his cooperation that they could reduce the possibility of this matter being noticed by others.

Just when An Yan was thinking about these issues, Cheng Yi typed another text on the light brain display: [ I plan to take him home to recuperate if he accepts this matter. That way, things can be arranged in a more proper manner. However, you do not need to feel burdened about this matter. I hope you make a decision according to your own will, because no matter what your decision is, I will arrange things accordingly.]

An Yan couldn’t help but be a little touched in his heart. Although Cheng Yi was making the decision for Grandpa Cheng, he was also trying to protect him.

Cheng Yo knew that with his character, he would continue to help Grandpa Cheng improve his health no matter what, and that’s why he thought of arranging things more properly to protect him from other people.

So although Cheng Yi’s request seemed like he was asking him to expose his secret to another person, he was actually minimizing the risk in case more people found out.

And since Cheng Yi would make such a request, it was enough to show that Grandpa Cheng was absolutely trustworthy.

An Yan took a deep breath and answered very solemnly: [Yes, I’ll listen to you.]

This time, Cheng Yi did not continue to type a reply but lowered his head and gave the little one a gentle kiss on the back of his head, whispering, “Thank you, Yan Yan.”

An Yan was dazed by the kiss. The little paws froze and the heart was thumping faster.

After kissing the back of his head, Cheng Yi reached out and turned the little one’s body to face him before he gently rubbed his hamster’s face.

This time, An Yan was confused. Of course he would not resist, so he obediently stood there to let Cheng Yi rub him all over. His expression was dumbfounded.

Because the little one’s reaction was too cute and this operation felt very good, Cheng Yi did not stop the rubbing and even pinched the little hamster’s face into two small biscuits.

An Yan finally returned to his senses after being bullied so badly that he could not bear it anymore: “Squeak, squeak, squeak!” No more rubbing, my face is only this elastic!

Cheng Yi chuckled and finally let the poor little hamster go. He took him for a walk in the garden with a nice view before returning to the ward.

At this time, Cheng Fu and Cheng Lin had already arrived and were accompanying Grandpa Cheng in the ward.

Cheng Fu couldn’t help but be surprised on hearing the results of the morning physical examination: “Father’s health is getting better, and it will be better in the future.”

Although no one except Cheng Yi and An Yan knew why Grandpa Cheng’s health condition had suddenly improved, everyone had strong hopes in their hearts.

Grandpa Cheng also seemed to be in a good mood: “It’s a beautiful day outside today and I want to go down for a walk. You guys accompany me. “

Previously, his spiritual domain condition was so bad that it could completely collapse at any time. Don’t mention going for a walk; even leaving the hospital bed was rare, almost only when he had to go to the examination room.

But he now felt that his body was very light. Even the spiritual domain felt better than before, and he could not wait to go out for a walk and see the outside scenery.

Cheng Fu and Cheng Lin nodded repeatedly. Cheng Yang, who was the most emotionally outgoing, was about to go over to help Grandpa Cheng get up when he saw Cheng Yi walk in and say in a calm voice, “Grandfather, I have something I want to say to you alone.”

The four people in the ward turned their heads in unison to look at Cheng Yi. Grandpa Cheng paused for a moment, then lay down again and said to the other three people, “You guys go out first."
