C6 – Cheeky Husband

“Negotiate with me? Is he trying to intimidate me?” Xu Yangyi thought to himself.

“Hey, Hee Jingyan! Don’t think you can bully me just because I’m young. I…”

“Yes, you are indeed a little ghost,” Hee Jingyan interrupted.

Before Xu Yangyi could respond, Hee Jingyan looked him up and down and spoke again.

A sudden chill ran down Xu Yangyi’s spine.

“Why are you looking at me like that? What’s going on?” Xu Yangyi asked, feeling confused.

“This guy is crazy. He won’t listen no matter what I say,” Xu Yangyi thought to himself, frustrated.

Suddenly, Xu Yangyi asked with suspicion, “Are you gay?”

“No way! Did I just meet a gay ghost?” Xu Yangyi thought to himself, feeling uneasy.

Xu Yangyi regretted agreeing to this matter and felt as if his heart had died.

Hee Jingyan found Xu Yangyi’s reaction amusing and thought, “It’s cute that he thinks I’m gay because I think my wife is beautiful.”

“Do I look like I’m gay? Besides, I’m happily married and don’t need to be intimate with anyone else,” Hee Jingyan replied.

Frustrated, Xu Yangyi’s anger rose and he snapped, “Who’s your wife? Are you deaf? Didn’t you hear what I said?”

Xu Yangyi felt like slapping Hee Jingyan to the moon. He couldn’t believe this guy’s audacity.

“Stay calm, Xu Yangyi. Don’t get angry. Killing people is illegal and could harm my dad,” Xu Yangyi reminded himself.

Despite his inner turmoil, Xu Yangyi tried to remain calm, even as Hee Jingyan made jokes about their relationship, saying, “Wife, do you still have our wedding ring on your hand? You can’t just take my love object and turn hostile!”

Upon hearing this, Xu Yangyi suddenly remembered that he was wearing Hee Jingyan’s ring and asked, “Can I take it off and return it to you? I don’t mind.”

Hee Jingyan smiled and said, “Sure, you can give it back to me.” Xu Yangyi felt uneasy for some reason.

Hee Jingyan added, “But if you do that, your sister, father, and you will all have to face legal consequences. We can’t risk our reputation as the Hee Family.”

Xu Yangyi thought to himself that Hee Jingyan was not a good person as he only knew how to threaten others. However, he was right. If this incident became public, it would bring shame to the Hee Family. Nevertheless, Xu Yangyi couldn’t possibly marry him.

Hee Jingyan gave him some time to think but warned him that his grandfather had a bad temper, and if he found out, the Xu Family would suffer.

Hee Jingyan knew that Xu Yangyi was considering his options and continued to provoke him to make the situation worse.

Xu Yangyi asked, “Won’t your family be angry if our identities are revealed?” He felt that delaying the inevitable was pointless.

Hee Jingyan replied, “It’s not the same. As my wife, I will ensure the safety of you and your family. I will take care of this matter myself.”

Hee Jingyan made it clear that he would find a way to resolve the issue, as long as Xu Yangyi agreed to marry him. However, if he refused, he would have to deal with it on his own.

Xu Yangyi realized that Hee Jingyan was taking advantage of the situation, but he didn’t have a choice. If he refused, his sister and father would be in danger.

Xu Yangyi’s thoughts went to his sister and father in jail, and he felt a sense of despair.

Xu Yangyi was torn between his family’s safety and his own future. He didn’t want to give up either option.

Hee Jingyan watched Xu Yangyi’s expressions with interest, admiring his determination. He found it amusing that he was married to a man but didn’t think it was unreasonable.

Xu Yangyi glared at Hee Jingyan, who was enjoying the situation, feeling angry.

Xu Yangyi thought that Hee Jingyan deserved a beating.

Suddenly, a cunning idea crossed Xu Yangyi’s mind. Who said he couldn’t escape halfway? He felt clever.

Xu Yangyi made up his mind and said, “Deal.”

He planned to stall for time until he could discuss his escape plan with his father. He felt lucky.

However, reality was unpredictable.
