Dana looked through Lisa’s belongings hanging in the room. There were clothes and aprons to work in the kitchen, but leather protectors and scabbards were also there.

Weapons and tools were in full swing for protection.

Lisa must have a lot of stories, too.

Without touching them as much as possible, Dana began to clean the room quietly. It was because she didn’t have the kind of shame to just stand still while being indebted.

Eventually, as Lisa came in and told her to lie down quickly, Dana had to lie in bed.

“I don’t know now, but your body must have been worn out. Make up your mind tomorrow. I have to work…”

Lisa couldn’t tell what had happened to her, but she murmured in her sleep as if she knew everything.

Dana turned to her side and closed her eyes. It was a night when her whole body was tired enough to faint, but she didn’t think she’d fall asleep easily.

* * *

It was early in the morning the next day.

Dana twisted her long blonde hair high and fixed it with a string. And she wore the shabby work clothes and apron that Lisa brought her.

“Sarah, if you’re out, come down to the first floor!”

“Yes, yes!”

As Lisa had said last night, her body was sore, but it was not a situation to be lazy. As she hurried down to the first floor, the top was already busy. Large carriages arrived one after another, and workers carried their luggage to the warehouse.

“I think we can just help with the kitchen today. The person who takes care of it doesn’t even show his nose. I’m going to wipe these plates so come this way…”

Soon after the workers finished work, they had to provide breakfast. Dana was in charge of taking bowls from the kitchen warehouse, cleaning, and preparing in advance.

“…Do you think you can do it?”

“Of course, leave it to me.”

Dana showed motivation, and Lisa suddenly hardened her face as she nodded toward her.

“…Lisa?”

Seeing the scary expression, Dana was surprised and stiffened, but Lisa wasn’t looking at her.

“Don’t turn around. You shouldn’t make eye contact with trash like that.”

“What…”

Several busy footsteps passed behind her back.

“Count! Welcome!”

“Count, as you said, let’s select a few…”

“Go up and say it.”

The young man’s voice went up the stairs dismissing the loud greeting. Lisa, who was looking at him with angry eyes, turned her head and made a distraction.

Dana also pretended to clean the bowl, glancing at her.

“…wait.”

However, the sound of footsteps as he was going up the stairs suddenly stopped, and there was silence.

“What is that?”

She wanted to look back, but Lisa’s warning was there, and she thought not to look back on her instinct.

“What’s the matter?”

“No, just… she looked familiar from the back.”

The man’s voice was small, but it was distinct in Dana’s ear. Listening to his voice, an unknown whirlpool of emotions crushed her heart.

“Count? I prepared the girls.”

“Ah, let’s go up. How many did you prepare?”

The man seemed to be interested for a while, but soon he went up the stairs as if something important had come to mind.

As soon as his gaze fell, Dana exhaled.

Why am I nervous?

At the same time, as she wondered, she felt a headache that seemed to break her head. Dana clenched her teeth and held her head with her hands.

“Sarah? What’s wrong with you?”

“Oh… No, it’s nothing at all. I’ll be fine soon.”

As she said, Dana soon got better.

After sending Lisa back, who was worried, Dana focused on the work she was given.

Moving her body busily like this, time went faster than contemplating.

She decided to remain silent like this until Leon returned.

Dana was surprised when she tried to wipe the cup that Lisa left behind. There were cracks in the cup Lisa was holding in all directions. She broke the cup with only her grip.

Lisa was really… I guess she doesn’t like him.

Dana glanced at the back where there was no one and put the cup aside so that it could not be seen.

* * *

That can’t be true.

Rian tried to shake off the thoughts that came to his mind for a while. He thought the back of the blonde woman he saw on the first floor was Dana.

“Then I’ll bring them in.”

“Uh… Okay.”

When Harbert opened the door, two blonde women came in. Both had blue eyes, and they were similar in height to Dana.

However, Rian only gave them a grim look.

“I can’t figure it out.”

“What?”

“No, nothing.”

Earlier on the first floor, he was surprised to think it was Dana just by looking at the back, but now he couldn’t be impressed by the two women who they said looked like Dana.

Either of the two seemed insufficient. But he had to choose.

“Talk to me. One by one.”

When they introduced themselves, Rian sighed louder. First of all, she had to be good-looking, and she could not bring her own family as the work was done.

Naturally, they were women of low class or poor commoners, and they had no choice but to speak differently from noble women.

Of course, Dana wasn’t a noblewoman.

Perhaps because she was an eligible person’s daughter, Deniz gave his daughter a noble-level education and thoroughly educated her.

“Anyway… This is probably the best.”

Rian eventually chose one of the two that was better.

“Yeah, there’s no more. Let’s train her for a few days to fix her tone as much as we can.”

After Harbert’s words, Rian gently opened his eyes and looked at the remaining one. He thought she resembled Dana, and looking at her again, she seemed to be the same.

“You go out. I’ll teach her from now on.”

“What? Oh, yes.”

Harbert read an insidious feeling in Rian’s eyes but went out pretending not to know. He was the only one who could think of such a thing in this situation.
