Led by a martial artist, Xu Ziqing followed him into the main gate of the Wang family estate. The grandeur of the Wang house, although not as extravagant as the palace on the ninth continent, still impressed Xu Ziqing. Comparing it to his former family, he felt that the Wang family was slightly inferior to the Xu family.

As you stroll along the promenade and pass by the water pavilion, a grand mansion comes into view. The warrior, eager to please, remarks, “This is the guest hall. The Patriarch is currently receiving the elders in Nuange, and he will ensure that you are not overlooked.”

Xu Ziqing responds with a slight smile, “The Patriarch is considerate.”

Observing Xu Ziqing’s gentle demeanor, the innate warrior feels relieved. Individuals like Xu Ziqing, who have recently achieved innate talent, may hold some prestige in the mortal world but are insignificant in the presence of monks. Even serving as a gatekeeper for the king’s mansion requires considerable expense, all for the chance to encounter more monks. If he can win the favor of even one monk, no matter how slight, it would elevate his status.

However, despite the perceived benefits of this position, it is not an easy task to fulfill.

Individuals who possess high social status but lack cultivation strength often have a volatile temper. Despite the fact that these innate cultivators could easily crush them with a mere gesture, they are still compelled to serve them with a forced smile, resulting in a great deal of frustration.

It may seem advantageous to be on friendly terms with such individuals, but in reality, it rarely proves beneficial.

On the other hand, those with formidable cultivation levels exhibit a wide range of temperaments and often display peculiar behaviors. Nonetheless, regardless of their disposition, one must always maintain a pleasant demeanor when dealing with them.

Frequently, disagreements arise, and even if one’s life is not at stake, one must endure significant hardships. In some instances, these individuals may even go so far as to cripple the cultivation of others. In such unfortunate circumstances, it can only be attributed to ill-fated destiny.

Having lived for a considerable period, this person has encountered numerous individuals. Upon observing the clear gaze and gentle aura of the monk in blue robes, it becomes evident that he is young but possesses an unpredictable level of cultivation, indicating significant strength.

Encountering such a monk, the martial artist couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief, recognizing that he had been fortunate this time.

Contemplating how to win favor, the Xiantian warrior becomes even more courteous, guiding Xu Ziqing while sharing abundant information about the Wang family, thereby establishing a closer connection.

During their conversation, he naturally discusses the task at hand, conveniently showcasing his favor towards Xu Ziqing.

The family head, Wang Kangde, had one wife and numerous concubines. Among his children, he had two first sons and five concubine sons. The eldest son, who was already in his thirties, possessed exceptional qualifications and cultivation, making him the likely successor. However, becoming the family head required not only being the eldest son but also demonstrating superior cultivation to command obedience from those beneath them.

The second son, Wang Yingwu, was 25 years old and had recently reached the third level of Qi refinement. Although his qualifications were not as outstanding as his elder brother’s, they were still commendable. To provide Wang Yingwu with more opportunities for growth and experience, Wang Kangde hired a high-ranking cultivator to accompany him on this mission.

After uttering those words, just before reaching the Nuan Pavilion, the innate warrior whispered once again, his voice barely audible: “In the past, each mission had a starting price of ten spirit beads, but if the mission is completed exceptionally well, a monk of higher cultivation level…” His voice trailed off even softer, “…They once received a top-grade double-vein grass from the family head.”

As the words faded, the two of them arrived at the entrance of the Nuan Pavilion.

Xu Ziqing offered a gentle smile to the innate warrior, saying, “Thank you.”

The martial warrior hurriedly responded, “I dare not, junior doesn’t dare. Senior, please come in quickly.”

Xu Ziqing nodded slightly and proceeded to enter.

Inside the Nuan Pavilion, there was a large soft couch upon which sat a sturdy man. Despite his plain appearance, his eyes sparkled with vitality, and he maintained a certain air of authority.

Several small couches were positioned nearby, occupied by individuals who appeared young and quite handsome, bearing a resemblance to the man on the main couch.

Upon Xu Ziqing’s arrival, everyone in the Nuan Pavilion stood up.

The man on the main couch clasped his fists together and took the initiative to greet, “I am Wang Kangde, lacking in talent. How may I address this esteemed Taoist?”

This was a question regarding Xu Ziqing’s identity.

Xu Ziqing smiled and replied, “Patriarch Wang, you’re welcome. I am Xu Ziqing, a member of the Loose Cultivator Alliance. I have come here to undertake a mission.”

Wang Kangde’s smile grew warm upon hearing the mention of the Loose Cultivator Alliance. He said, “So, fellow Taoist is a member of the Loose Cultivator Alliance. We can consider each other as part of the same family. My apologies for not personally welcoming you earlier. It was truly impolite of me.” As he spoke, he scanned the room once again and added, “These are all my children. They might not be very well-behaved, but I’m afraid I’ll have to trouble fellow Taoists to take care of them.”

With that, he scolded, “Why haven’t you gone to greet Senior Xu?” This was simply a reminder to the younger generation.

The young men promptly saluted in unison.

The leader among them, the eldest in appearance, demeanor, and attire, was none other than the second son, Wang Yingwu.

As expected, as soon as the young man spoke, he introduced himself, saying, “Junior Wang Yingwu, I have met Senior Xu.”

The concubine sons, who were around the same age or even younger than Xu Ziqing, were curious about him due to their sheltered upbringing. Though they tried to conceal it, they discreetly observed Xu Ziqing, wondering why their father treated him differently despite his youthful appearance. Wang Yingwu, on the other hand, seemed composed and managed to conceal his surprise, not showing any overt signs.

Soon, Wang Yingwu took the initiative to inquire, “Senior Xu is young and highly cultivated, so you must be highly esteemed in the Loose Cultivator Alliance.” It’s human nature to appreciate praise, and even though it might be a bit abrupt, it wouldn’t be bothersome.

Xu Ziqing had limited social interactions, but he wasn’t so oblivious that he couldn’t recognize praise. Though he found it amusing, he replied, “I’m just making a living.”

Encouraged by Xu Ziqing’s response, Wang Yingwu continued, “My cultivation is shallow, so I can’t gauge Senior’s depth. I’m truly looking forward to it.”

His words conveyed both longing and eagerness, but Wang Yingwu’s enthusiasm was slightly overwhelming due to his own inflated ego.

Dealing with people like this was not Xu Ziqing’s strong suit. He was naturally introverted and rarely engaged in casual conversations. If provoked, he wouldn’t lose his temper, but if complimented, he would feel numb. He regretted being the first to arrive and apply for the job. He truly didn’t know how to handle the situation.

As he contemplated his response, he heard sounds from outside, indicating the arrival of another person, possibly another applicant.

Feeling relieved, Xu Ziqing immediately shifted his gaze towards the door, trying to divert the current situation.

Wang Yingwu felt a tinge of disappointment but followed Xu Ziqing’s gaze, looking at the entrance to see who was coming.

Two women entered the room, both possessing graceful figures. However, their appearance initially took people by surprise.

Even individuals who were not conventionally attractive often had a unique charm, but these two women did not possess that charm.

It wasn’t that they had unattractive features. On the contrary, their fair complexions and delicate features were quite pleasing. However, one woman had a sliced face on the left side, while the other had a sliced face on the right side. The cuts were deep, reaching the bone, leaving their pretty faces divided and appearing raw and harsh.

To make matters worse, someone had tattooed the intact halves of their faces with strange designs. The tattoos lacked clear outlines and were filled with random colors, further disrupting their remaining facial features.

Xu Ziqing didn’t recognize these two women, but he did sense their cultivation levels. Surprisingly, they were both at the seventh level of Qi refinement!

Determining their ages was difficult as they had undergone such transformations.

Wang Kangde and Wang Yingwu’s expressions changed upon seeing them. Wang Kangde managed to handle it slightly better, though his face twitched, while Wang Yingwu turned paler, beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead.

Observing the fearful state of the Wang father and son, Xu Ziqing couldn’t help but feel curious.

He wondered who these women were that could make the father and son so terrified.

While he contemplated, Wang Kangde immediately rose from his seat, moving even quicker than when Xu Ziqing had arrived, as if something urgent had arisen.

“Miss Guiyin- Miss Guiyang, please forgive my late welcome!” he exclaimed, bowing deeply.

The two female cultivators adjusted their positions slightly and had already entered the room. One extended her left hand, while the other extended her right, both covering their mouths and laughing softly in unison, their voices harmonizing, “Wang Family Head, there’s no need for such formality.”

Xu Ziqing grew increasingly astonished.

From his perspective, the two female cultivators might not be conventionally attractive, but their behavior was not inappropriate, and they were quite amiable. So why did they make Wang Kangde look like he was facing an enemy?

Wang Kangde remained in a state of fear but managed to seat the two women beside him. He not only instructed his sons to approach them but also tried to create a clear separation, ensuring they would never come into contact.

The two women showed disrespect not only towards Xu Ziqing but also towards others, causing Xu Ziqing to furrow his brow. However, the women seemed accustomed to such behavior, occasionally engaging Wang Kangde in casual conversation, appearing generous and at ease. On the contrary, Wang Kangde seemed increasingly uncomfortable.

Xu Ziqing grew more puzzled, while Wang Yingwu’s face turned even paler, unable to bring himself to look in their direction.

Finally, unable to contain his curiosity, Xu Ziqing turned to Wang Yingwu and said, “Young Master Wang, may I inquire about the identities of those two ladies?”

Wang Yingwu looked up, surprised at Xu Ziqing’s interest. He almost blurted out but restrained himself, resorting to a discreet voice transmission, “Senior Xu doesn’t recognize them?”

Xu Ziqing subtly shook his head, indicating his curiosity.

Wang Yingwu restrained any visible reaction and slowly narrated the story of the two female cultivators.

It was then that Xu Ziqing understood why the Wang father and son treated them as adversaries.

In reality, the two female cultivators were sisters, merely a year apart, and originally belonged to a small family. They were known for their exceptional beauty since childhood. As they matured, their cultivation reached the second level of Qi refinement, a rare accomplishment for a small family. Impressed by their talents, their family sought to marry them into a middle-class family to strengthen their own and provide a better future for the sisters, allowing them more cultivation resources.

However, their family was wiped out overnight by a demonic cultivator, and the sisters were taken captive, enduring immense suffering in a demonic cave.

It was then that everyone realized that the sisters possessed rare Heavenly Yin bodies.

The Heavenly Yin body was an extraordinary physique for women. If they possessed water spiritual roots, even with three or four spiritual roots, their cultivation speed would be comparable to those with double spiritual roots. Regardless of their spiritual roots, the Heavenly Yin body was a valuable physique for alchemical purposes.

The demon cultivator was a lascivious individual who specialized in capturing women with unique body constitutions for cultivation. When he stumbled upon the two sisters, he was thrilled by their presence. The sisters were assaulted that night, and their entire family was wiped out.

Xu Ziqing had heard of the concept of the “cauldron,” which existed in both the immortal and demonic realms. It involved the practice of harnessing the yin and yang energies, particularly using a special body as the vessel.

The recipient was known as the “cauldron.”

The immortals adhered to certain rules when employing a cauldron, but the same couldn’t be said for the demons.

Hearing Wang Yingwu’s account of the two sisters, Xu Ziqing couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

All he could say was that these two women were unfortunate. However, there was more to their story. They had been exceptionally beautiful, which led to their capture by the demon cultivator, resulting in the complete loss of their maidenhood.

The two sisters had endured torment and heartbreak after being abandoned by the devil cultivator for another woman with a more delicate and alluring body. In order to protect themselves from further humiliation, they disfigured their faces using magic weapons. The devil, enraged by their actions, forced them into hard labor.

Despite their hardships, the sisters developed a deep hatred and a desire for revenge. They managed to acquire a pair of Yin Yang spiders and became their masters. The sisters used their newfound power to save other suffering women and settled them down, gaining a good reputation in the process.

Wang Yingwu explained that the demonic cultivator who killed their family was already at the Foundation Establishment level, making their defeat of him quite impressive considering they were only at the fifth level of Qi refinement at the time.

The older sister possessed a Yang spider, a male spider known for its lethal poison that could immobilize a cultivator at the early stage of foundation building in just three breaths. As a symbol of their victory, the sister had skinned the devil’s face and displayed it in front of the devil’s cave.

The younger sister had a Yin spider, a female spider capable of casting spells. The Yin and Yang sisters despised ungrateful men, particularly those with multiple wives and concubines. They would cast a spell on such men, rendering them unable to engage in sexual activities until they reached the Foundation Establishment stage. The spell would cause the cultivator’s death if they tried to violate it, and breaking through to the Foundation Establishment stage was no easy feat.

After destroying the Devil’s Cave, the Gui Yin-Yang sisters gained notoriety across several continents. They had learned a powerful transportation technique that allowed them to travel vast distances in an instant, closely trailing behind Foundation Establishment cultivators.

Using their spiders’ venomous bites, they sought revenge on numerous male cultivators with concubines, incapacitating over a hundred individuals in just a few days. During this time, their cultivation level advanced to the seventh level of Qi refinement, and the power of their Yin-Yang spiders continued to grow.

While the sisters generally appeared friendly and polite, they would unleash their spider bites on those who angered them. Male cultivators who were involved with multiple partners were particularly susceptible to the sisters’ wrath.

The Wang family unintentionally drew the attention of the Gui Yin-Yang sisters when they tried to train their sons. Most of the Wang sons were present and lacked the ability to reach the Foundation Establishment stage. If they angered the sisters, the future of the Wang family would be at stake.

Xu Ziqing reflected on the sisters’ tragic past and understood their grievances. However, he disagreed with their methods of using spells to coerce people and believed that a man should not abandon his lover for the sake of family obligations.

With these thoughts in mind, Xu Ziqing had no intention of conversing further with Wang Yingwu. He recognized that the sisters’ straightforwardness was influenced by their past sufferings, preventing them from attaining enlightenment. If they could let go of their past and achieve clarity of mind, their trials and tribulations could transform into opportunities for growth, allowing them to advance to the Foundation Establishment stage and beyond.
